I am currently on NCL’s Viva. I cannot wait to get off this ship tomorrow! From the moment I boarded, I have been nickel and dimed.

Room service is $9.95 according to the service book. But if you want sodas or dessert that’s extra. Even if you have upgraded your food and drink package like I did. I had to pay $4.00 a soda even with the drink package.

In the second port, Harvest Caye Belize, I decided to rent a pool cabana for the day. It cost $400. Nowhere in the description does it say that food and drink will cost extra. Nor does it say to bring cash or credit card. I could not even get water! Who would spend $400 to sit in a pool cabana with no food or water.

At the specialty dinners in one dining location espresso was included. At another it was not included and I was charged extra. Same for drinks.

I went to guest services to complain and all I got was a “we are very sorry you are unhappy.” That’s not customer service!

I will not be taking an NCL cruise anytime in the future and will be telling my friends to pick another cruise line.

Recommendation: Use a different cruise line
