Nextdoor review: Toxic site plagued by biased moderation, and lack of a good appeal process! Avoid!

Under the guise of promoting (and profiting from) neighborly interactions, Nextdoor makes use of FREE labor from locals - Leads who select their like-minded friends to moderate posts/posters/accounts along with them. The result is a politically, biased group of local mods, that flag and influence what posts, businesses, recommendations, etc. are allowed on the site. The group flagging of posts triggers deletions of posts, and suspensions of accounts by Nextdoor Central. The 'appeal' process by Nextdoor Central is either managed by AI-bots or poorly trained 'live' operators, either domestic or foreign, that basically go along with the deletions or suspensions. The result is a platform, whose moderation is abused by local mods with specific political views and choices, and an 'appeal' process that is useless. The many negative reviews of the site throughout the internet, as well as ones own experience with the site, is evidence of the toxic nature of this platform. Avoid at all costs!
