My account has been suspended for 3 days. I was falsely accused of violating the guidelines in a discussion of local politics about an upcoming amendment on the ballot. I was replying to others to state my view which was different from theirs to add more information to a discussion. It was civil, polite, on topic of the local amendment, with no personal insults or attacks--just discussion of the amendment, why and why not to support it. These discussions have been ongoing for weeks.
Nextdoor targets and shuts down those who do not share their liberal political views. If you are a conservative, pro-life, Republican and not in lockstep with their political agenda, watch out.
I was falsely accused of discussing non-local politics which is not allowed on Nextdoor. Clearly, I was discussing the amendment issue, a local topic that is allowed, in a civil discussion of the topic and issue. They have used this tactic before when they want to shut down a neighbor who is in disagreement with their political views. It is deceptive. They have suspended my account before with the same bogus accusation accusing of non-local politics discussion when it clearly was a local issue discussed.
This has happened to me before. When I appeal and defend myself in a false accusation, asking for an explanation, my appeals are denied with no reason or explanation.
These are ongoing patterns that have been going on for years with Nextdoor with myself and many others. Nextdoor censors, falsely accuses, and discriminates which is actually a violation of their own guidelines, while blaming others to shut them up. It is not a free speech platform.
Desired outcome: I want Nextdoor to quit falsely accusing, hiding and deleting comments and messages, and censoring, including in the private chats, and suspending neighbors under false pretenses.
