I have to admit I like the modular outdoor products and I have purchased several of their higher end Grove style louvered cabinets for my outdoor space. I have built my outdoor space over the last decade and I have made several adjustments and purchases directly through New Age at various price points. I am continually changing the space and design, which is why I went with the NewAge product. However, when trying to incorporate a few more items I called to see if there was any flexibility in the cabinet cost as they are quite expensive, and it was the only one that did not carry their alleged sale price that was active. The customer service representative became somewhat rude and advised they would only consider discounting the cabinet after spending $3k or 5k. Mind you, all other cabinets were on sale.
The fact that I had already purchased thousands of dollars in cabinets, carried no influence or consideration. In a time when there are so many choices and option, its sad that customer loyalty downs matter, thinking their products can’t be replaced. I’ve come to realize that I can actually have an higher end and more durable outdoor kitchen built, exactly how I want it, for the cost of a few NewAge cabinets. I’m now considering my options, but I hope the company will some day improve their philosophy and remember the value of customer retention. At one point they did, but not now.
