Two-day nightmare for what should have been straightforward local move.
Timeline Issues:
Arrived 1.5 hours late day one. Despite doing all packing myself and staging 90% of boxes in garage by size/room (plus having less to move than quoted after selling most furniture), loading took 5+ hours. Forced overnight stay and hotel expenses.
Damage & Poor Handling:
Multiple damages from careless loading - no furniture wrapping or floor protection (basic industry standards every mover provides). Freezer thrown on treadmill with my desk below in open space, causing chips and seam separation. Treadmill wheels damaged wheeling through concrete and mud, bed fabric stained black, walls damaged at destination. Chris was a "new driver learning" - trainees should be paired with experienced team members, not left unsupervised on paying customers' jobs.
Day Two Disaster:
Arrived 2.5 hours late (12:30pm vs 10am). Second mover appeared inebriated, actually taking items back to truck instead of inside. Boxes never reached proper rooms despite clear labels and instructions, leaving me heavy lifting after they left. Driver belligerent toward crew and argumentative with me throughout. When I pointed out property damage, called me a liar and blamed me for causing him stress by expressing concerns to Dan, the owner, the previous day. My new home project manager had to intervene. Borrowed my tape gun, never returned it.
Management Response:
Dan attempted communication and promised hotel reimbursement but never paid. When given discount for poor service, said "this is the best I can do as I have a business to run and guys to pay." Inadequate insurance leaves me finding and paying for furniture repairs myself.
Having used several movers over years, this was by far the worst. Moving is stressful enough without damaged property, unprofessional behavior, and substandard service.
Recommendation: Cannot recommend - strongly advise looking elsewhere!
