I just got my hands on the Black Cherry Button Front Knit Cardigan from National and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with it. The color is just gorgeous and the style is right up my alley. This was not the "estimated" date that I was given when I placed my order, and I was not happy about it.

To make matters worse, I live in an apartment complex that does not have any place or boxes for UPS deliveries. There are no balconies or patios where they could leave my package, so I had to stay home all day today, waiting for the brown UPS truck to arrive. But guess what? Nobody came. Despite what the representative had told me, my package was not delivered today, and there's no telling when it will actually arrive. It could be as late as 2023, for all I know!

Overall, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with National's service. The fact that they gave me an incorrect delivery date and then switched carriers without informing me is unacceptable. And the fact that I had to waste an entire day waiting for a package that never arrived is just the icing on the cake. I've been getting this catalog from National for quite some time now, and I decided to order online for Christmas 2019. However, I couldn't log in to my account. After trying to figure it out on my own, I finally decided to call customer service. Unfortunately, I got wrong information from two separate phone calls. It wasn't until the third agent that I was finally given the correct information. They told me to place an order, which should take care of my account issue. However, they also told me not to open the package and to write "refuse" on it before returning it to the post office. I followed their instructions and returned the package. The agent assured me that I would be refunded the entire bill.

However, after several weeks, the refund was not showing up on my Paypal account. I decided to email them, and I promptly received a refund. However, I was charged shipping both ways! I called customer service, and after some discussion, they agreed to refund both shipping charges. I am also waiting for a refund for another "refused" order. The agent told me that they haven't received that package yet. I find it very curious that both of my refusal packages were sent out at the same time. I understand that I have to pay the initial shipping cost, which is normal business practice in this instance. However, it has been several weeks, and I am not happy or confident about shopping with Shop National ladies apparel. As a result, I am no longer a customer.

Overall, my experience with National has been frustrating and disappointing. While I appreciate the efforts of the customer service agents who tried to help me, the misinformation and confusion caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Additionally, the shipping charges and delayed refunds have left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that National can improve their processes and communication in the future to avoid similar issues with other customers.

So, I went on the shopnational website and wrote a bunch of reviews for different products. I noticed that they only posted the 4 and 5 star reviews, but not the single 3 star review that I left on a product that had no reviews yet. I don't think my review was rude or anything, it was just honest and balanced. I did notice that they do allow negative reviews for products that already have reviews, so maybe it's just the fact that it was the first review that they didn't like?

It got me thinking about how many negative reviews brands allow on their own websites. Do they "tweak" the review profile to make their products seem better than they actually are? It's definitely something to consider when reading reviews on any website.

Despite this, I still plan on shopping at National. However, I've learned not to trust the review profiles completely. Especially if there's only one review and it's positive, or if a product doesn't have any reviews at all. I'll assume that there were negative reviews that were censored out.

Luckily, there are other retailers that sell National clothing where the reviews aren't as censored. It's always good to have options.

On a side note, I couldn't find a way to edit my review. I left a review on a product before I noticed a sewing flaw, a crimped thread on the bodice. If I had noticed it earlier, I would have mentioned it in my review. Oops, my bad.
