Mister Car Wash review: Car wash tore wheel well trim off my 2019 Mazda CX-5
I have owned my 2019 Mazda CX-5 since 2021. I have not had any accidents or repairs to the vehicle during these 5+ years. Aside from a few superficial scratches, it is in excellent condition.
I have been monthly Mister Car Wash member for nearly the entire 5 years, going through the car wash 2-3x per week, every week. Mostly the car wash in Oro Valley on Oracle. However, on October 8, I went through the car wash at 3870 W. Cortaro Farms Road in Tucson. Immediately thereafter I drove about a mile to the nearby USPS to drop off a package. Coming out of the post office I noticed my passenger side wheel well trim was gone, torn off in the car wash. I immediatly returned to the car wash and spoke with the manager, Gilberto. He retrieved the wheel well piece from the car wash (so, no question that it came off there), took photos, and filed an incident report on his Ipad. He assured me they had video from inside the car wash and would review that; someone would get back to me within 2 days’ time. 3 business days later, after several calls to Gilberto the locations’ manager, I finally received an e-mail from Mister Car Wash, indicating an incident report had been filed, and a manager would get back to me in 3 business days. That was October 13; today is October 21–6 business days later. I have left voice mails for Gilberto; I have replied to the e-mail address on the letter ([protected]@mistercarwash.com), and . . . NOTHING.
Because I have almost exclusively used the Oro Valley location for the last several years, on average 2-3x per week, I can only assume ethere is an issue with the Cortaro Farms Rd. Location’s equipement. I am extremely disappointed that I have not heard from MIster to resolve this complaint.
Claimed loss: passenger side, back wheel well trim ripped from vehicle during car wash. Retrieved it AT THE CAR WASH.
Desired outcome: Address the incident by following through with contacting me with a resolution, which would be paying for the wheel well trim to be reattached/repaired.
