On Wednesday the 22 of January I picked my neighbour up in George at the airport and on the way home his wife wanted to go to a shop so we stopped in Mossel Baai they suggested we have something to eat at Wimpy or Spur and as I have not been in a spur since I lost my company 10 years ago I suggested Spur as I even used to have a Spur family card, what a disappointment ' I ordered a saucy burger with pepper sauce my favourite the chips were good the sauce was good the onion rings my favourite did not have one ring in it the burger I opened had a dry bun on top a patty dipped in something and shaking dry a piece of a red onion ring not a slice a inner ring pressed out of a slice a piece of lettuce and below that a bottom of a below par dry bun it is clear the burger from the seniors menu the use the scrapings out of the oil they do the rings in as it was small pieces of burnt batter very oily as I was invited to lunch I kept quiet but I don't think Spur will see me again if this is the norm they could not even supply my friend with a printed bill it was hand written.
