I have been billed to pay more money for services that I had insisted I pay the upfront total at the patient visit. I have repeatedly told the physicians office that I am self pay and they have me pay up front before we leave. They do not go over any extra charges during my visit. However, on three occasions now, they have subsequently billed me more money for services I received. This is unfair and I did not consent to this additional billing. They should be held accountable for the lack of transparency and over billing practices.
Claimed loss: Three instances totaling approximately $500 in extra charges after paying in full at the office.
Desired outcome: Stop calling me to pay an additional amount above what I already paid during the visit. Show a price sheet so I can elect NOT to have the services performed. I would also appreciate a refund of the other two instances.
