The car description said it had a 1-year satellite subscription, but the dealership said they wouldn't honor it because it was a used car. I told them they should have changed the description, but they said no. It's disappointing because they say they're honest and friendly, but they didn't keep their word. Lesson learned: ask all your questions before you leave. We asked how to activate the subscription, but nobody answered. After 7 hours at the dealership, they forgot about it. The next day, they said it wasn't available. They went back on their word.

Bought car from McGrath Volvo Cars Barrington in November with 36,586 miles. Brakes changed for first time at 41,253 miles on 02/28. Front and back brake pads changed and rotors refinished as requested by dealer. Brakes changed again on 03/06 at 56,553 miles. Now at 73,886 miles on 5/07, told brakes need to be changed again. Most miles on highway trips last year and spring 2021. Did own research and found attached info on when brakes should be changed and at what miles. Makes me wonder if brakes and rotors put on car were done right, changed or used. Brakes don't need to be changed every year unless excessive driving, which I haven't done. Problem ignored.

A few days later, someone from Volvo HQ called me to ask how it went. I told them about some problems and they gave me 30% off all ***. I asked the dealership for records of the car's maintenance, but they only sent me a Car Fax report and an inspection report that didn't have any details. I emailed the salesman, ***, and told him what I needed to know about the car's battery, brakes, brake pads, tires, and general maintenance history. I tried to get the details from McGrath a few times, but they didn't help me. I also tried to contact *** a few times, but they never called me back.
