I received my first order on 4-25-23, little did I know I had until 4-26-23 to cancel the next order. My mother had fallen & I had to stay with her and would not be home. 4-27-23 I went and canceled the up coming order. On 4-28-23 I see they had charged me for my second box, I go to their website, tried getting on chat for hours, no luck, I sent emails, I left phone messages, no one ever got back to me. I tried getting ahold of them for hours that day. When I get home a week later the 2nd box they sent had been sitting outside for 2 days and had to be put in the garbage. At the time I hadn't thought much about it, but as I was throwing everything in the box away I noticed there is steak in the box, I don't eat red meat, and haven't for years. I never even picked my items for my second box. I sent a few more messages never heard back. Finally on 5-6-23 they responded to my emails saying I didn't cancel my order in time & that I had to cancel by 4-26-23 and that I signed a contract and they wont refund me. This company is scamming people and you can never get in touch with anyone until its too late. Their customer service is the worst if you ever can get through to anyone. I would tell any & everyone to avoid this company.

I was excited about this service, however, with the customer service treatment I have received I would suggest not ordering this kit.

I ordered this kit a week ago with a code from their website. Earlier I had signed up and browsed but never purchased the subscription. My order was cancelled today less than a week from the first box’s delivery date and I was told that a member of my household had used the code and it cannot be used at my address.

We never have used this kit before.

I sat on hold with a rep for 30 minutes who told me that nothing can be done.

Predatory pricing hidden behind rules they make up. Purchase this kit at your own risk. They should have just called and said pay more money or have the order cancelled.

I had a debit not go through, I changed the debit from PayPal to my debit card to remedy the action. I tried to call, left a message, called again requesting a callback, sent an email to notify MarleySpoon of the remedy action for them to debit. I called again the next day to get the issue to sorted so that I did not miss out on my delivery.

Well that was all a grand waste of my time as the call centre lady not only could not spell out my name and email address but insisted that my order was cancelled and that there was nothing that could be done about it. I am floored at that kind of customer service. Money is money and if a person is willing to pay the service should be rendered.

I had just given Marleyspoon a glowing reference for their product however, my regret is now that the ball has been dropped. Customer service is seriously lacking

I'm absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism & efficiency with Marley Spoon. In the last 5 weeks, I have had 2 deliveries sent to the wrong address 2 weeks in a row. Compensation for both weeks was just 1 free box (although they say 2, one being the one I'd paid for both times!).

Another week was a delay to the delivery. Customer Service initially said it wasn't being delivered. I had to persist and insist they find out why?!?!? Apparently no boxes made it to Cairns. Offered $15 off my next box. Mind you, this took several phone calls and an immense amount of angst. Second customer service officer said they'd compensate with the next box free. I kept checking & this was not applied. Box did eventually arrive, but definitely disrupted plans. I had also received a text message at 3.02am stating to enter code ARR30FREEU to receive $30 off & a free box. 9.54am received another text saying sorry, you received a wrong SMS. As an apology we'd like to offer you $10 off! By now, I'm going insane.

Just today, I have been expecting delivery of a box. Thought.. I haven't received a text message the day before saying it was on it's way & a tracking link. So, I ring customer service & speak to the same guy, Maria. Is he the only one working there? He has now copped the brunt of my frustrations. He advised me there was no data concerning my delivery & believes it to not be on it's way. I'm now a raging bull. I have asked last time to speak to Australia. He said this wasn't possible unless he asks them to call me (which last time they didn't).

Maria & his crew in Portugal are well spoken & have product knowledge. However, they can only do so much in real time. I think it's absolutely disgraceful that they only have electronic communication with Australia. I am now waiting for a phone call as my case has been escalated again. I have said 24 hours return phone call is no good enough & expect to hear within an hour. Get your act together, Marley Spoon.

Their employees have to be more attentive than they are now.
I ordered from Marley several times and there was always something missing. Sometimes they put not enough pepper or salt. I sometimes cook not from home, so I need everything to be done well. It has to be stopped because even if it's really not a big deal, every detail matters and you should understand it. We pay for each of those details.
Take it more serious, please.
