I am filing this complaint regarding Lycamobile USA due to an extremely long service outage and complete failure of customer support.
My phone number 516900xyyx has been unusable since January 9. As of today, more than 20 days have passed and my number has still not been restored.
Here is what has been happening:
• Phone support repeatedly tells me to contact email support
• Email support responds only once every 4 days, and sometimes not at all
• My most recent email has been ignored for over 10 days
• To receive just three email replies, it takes around 12 days
• Every response restarts the conversation from zero, with no one reviewing the case history
I have provided all required verification information multiple times, including:
• full name
• address
• last four digits of my credit card
• plan name
• activation date
• payment amount
Despite this, Lycamobile has failed to restore my service, issue a replacement eSIM, or provide any meaningful resolution.
At this point, Lycamobile is effectively withholding my phone number and preventing me from either restoring service or transferring the number to another carrier. I have formally requested my Account Number and Transfer (Port-Out) PIN, but have received no response.
Because of this situation, I have already filed complaints with:
• the FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
• the Better Business Bureau (BBB)
• the State Attorney General
and posted public reviews describing this experience.
Restoring a SIM or eSIM should be a routine process that takes minutes with other U.S. carriers. With Lycamobile, it has turned into weeks of silence, delays, and complete lack of accountability.
As soon as my number is restored or port-out credentials are provided, I will immediately transfer my number to Verizon.
If you value your phone number, your time, and basic customer support, I strongly recommend avoiding Lycamobile.
Recommendation: Avoid this carrier. If you value your phone number, time, and reliable support, do not use this service. Number recovery can take weeks with no real help.
