Ads like this are the direct cause - yes, it's been proven - of bulimia, life-long self-esteem problems, and relationships between men and women becoming less and less based on reality and more and more on dysfunctional, harmful expectations and behaviors.

This ad is a direct attack on women and our self-esteem - and if you think I'm overreacting, I'm not and here's why:

We women put up with all kinds of overt garbage in advertising. Anyone who isn't sure about this - or thinks it was all over after the 1950's - watch this video: https://vimeo.com/142100425 - called Killing Us Softly 4, about how the subconscious of women - of children, of men, of everyone! - is hijacked by noxious messages like the one in this frankly horrific ad.

Calling women's vaginas "stinky crevices" is not only revolting and insulting but it's completely incorrect! Vaginas are self-cleaning, thanks. When are you going to put out ads about men's stinky penises? I mean, the whole thing is absolutely all about creating an unnecessary need and then meeting it. But in the process, people are harmed psychologically and mentally and socially.

The whole thing is offensive and horrific and I'm particularly blown away that this product and this advertising was done by a woman! Take this incredible CRAP off of the air. This is ABUSIVE to the greater social good and directly harmful to women AND men.

Desired outcome: Take this off the air immediately in honor of the greater good for women of ALL ages!

Women stinking, women defecating and women protecting their vaginal “heath” through useless unrefrigerated probiotics. The ads are abusive and reek of female perpetuated misogyny. I can’t imagine these commercials offering anything more illuminating than experiencing a dry heave.

I imagine the women behind these ads as once the odd girl out in high school, who walked the halls alone -books in one hand and in the other, a discreet finger moving from one skin fold to another, obsessively judging the rank factor. Other female students who witnessed the nasty habit probably teased her unmercifully and she vowed one day to publicly embarrass them all through raunchy ads informing the world that some women have terrible body odors they would prefer not to announce…but the makers of this junk would love to.

I hear what you're saying but that much more so applies to the porn industry.

As for this commercial, that isn't an actress. She is the founder of Lume. She chose to make this commercial just as we see it. I hate this commercial even more than I hate the one with women sitting on toilets saying "I'm a woman pooping on TV." My hate runs deep enough that I would never by this product (no matter how well it may work) or even allow it in my home.

This could be the BEST product ever…but because of its disgusting and repulsive comments that [censored] of a doctor , and I use that term loosely! I will NEVER. Purchase this gross product.

Exactly. This so called doctor is insinuating that all women stink. You notice she doesn't market her product to men. The words she uses to describe anatomical ares is disgusting. When those ads start, I turn the sound off. She's disgusting.

Well said! How a self proclaimed presumed to be medical professional can stoop to such tactics to make a buck is as nauseating as looking at her homemade video commercials. The FOUNDER haha maybe she just needed a title to feel important.

Each and every commercial they've made is equally distasteful but her "humor" and suggestion that everyone's vagina is offensive is just ridiculous. Go get a life Shannon or whatever your name is and quit implying to young impressionable teens and kids that your genitals stink and must be covered up artificially. They're under enough stress just trying to understand life and you're sure not helping.

I’m so glad to see this review. I hate the Lume ads, and I hope the product tanks. So relieved I’m not alone in this.

I just watched your ad ( forced) in front of my 12 yr old son! Now he’s asking why is she in between legs and will I have to wear that on my balls when I’m older mom? You should be ashamed! Absolutely ashamed… not to mention if he’s wondering gif women stink down there! What a PIG of a commercial! Ugh I’m so freaking mad! Take this off mandatory ads please! Or just in general!
