This program has saved me a bundle. Not just with monitoring fuel but also keeping up with repair costs, repairs under warranty, and the timing of preventive maintenance. I’ve had several repairs where the parts went bad while still under shop warranty. Using fuel monitor, I was able to pull up the date the repair was done, and picture of the receipt. I’ve used it for about 5 years now. It allows you to categorize the work you’re doing or having done. No more keeping up with paper invoices. Fuel Monitor is Awesome!

I have now used this app to track expenses for three vehicles. The last one I started when it was new and knew the total cost of ownership for the car including winter summer tire changes, fuel (including the price per gallon paid) for every fillup. It’s interesting to have evidence of the changes in fuel prices. When I traded the car in the cost of having the car had increased $.02 / mile from when I bought it. I now have a hybrid version of the same model car and it will be interesting to see how the cost compares.

I have yet to find a better app that has the ability to be exactly customized to my specific wants and needs. Most apps can track a little of this or a little of that but this app allows you to track everything you want and breaks it down in every way. Fuel, repairs, routine maintenance and break it all down to see what a vehicle costs per month, week, year or even per day. It’s also probably the most easy to use and learn. It tracks multiple vehicles for me and gives me notifications of up coming services like oil and filter changes and more.

I’ve been using it for 4 or 5 years & it does what I need it to do. Like the new face & features from the last update-looks sporty! Still have never tried to export any of my data & I know there was issues for some when they attempted in past versions. I’d recommend you to try it if you want an easy to use app. Earlier review is below. Works well for me! Been using it for couple of years now on couple of different vehicles & I haven't any issues with it. I've not tried exporting data or anything, though. It does what I want it to do-track expenses & fuel.

I have tried most of the highly recommended fuel logging apps already, and have not found one that's as good as this one! I like it' simplicity and clean, pro presentation. The reports are an added plus, very demonstrative, and visually great. You can track several vehicles at the same time too. I would give it 6 stars if the developers added two more features: 1) on the tank-by-tank fuel display I would like to see how many miles I drove on each tank. 2) I would like connectivity with my PC/Mac so I can download/store the data. I hope these features will be added in a future update!

Great for gas mileage, most steps are intuitive. Quick to understand
+pick location
+save a screenshot of receipts
*trend analysis has cost etc :)

Only negative is Services maintenance recording. It’s is a bit messy (tire realignment, and filter changes for example are not eas in packaged services as you only select each item individually as opposed to being able to create grouping of a services and check/uncheck items from the group.)
Example Oil change should be editable and have options like ([]oil types, []filter changes, [] fluid refills)

Great App , and I will keep using it.

This app has a nice start. However, when it is used to keep track of mileage and gasoline expenditures, it's input is confusing.
Unless all of the inputs are put in in a certain order, it recompute's them, resulting in incorrect data being entered.
If the programmers want it to behave in this fashion, I suggest that they use question prompting to get information about cost per gallon, miles driven, and gallons purchased rather than the list method that they presently use.

It is further complicated by virtue of the fact that the initial prompt is not the place to start.
They can do better with this application.

This is a very nice application but needs additional features . I found that the transfer of the data from the iPhone app to the upgrade version, full version did not work . In addition having more than 1 vehicle proved to be an issue. The app somehow had plugged mileage from 1st vehicle into the second and there was no way to reset the counter. Each time I added fuel purchase with mileage for the 2nd car, got a mileage sync error. Had to basically start over and re type all mileage log entries. . It could use a feature to have schedule option for maintenance based on mileage to set reminders for oil changes as gas is checked and loaded .

I don't do reviews often. I was looking for a fuel log app which had a more intuitive interface. The overall ratings on this app were great, but honestly the backup option stinks. Backups are extremely important. Into today's day and age the cloud backup and automatic backup are where it's at. This app offers wifi only and The IP address throws up an error.

Getting a response from support in a timely manner is also important which I thought I would get is a bad score right there. The app showed that it was one that had recent updates which was a plus but lack of timely support gives this a poor score. Unless support gets better and backup options change thus is a 2 star app

I maintain 3 different cars. I drive only one
of them. When I periodically put gas into the other two cars, I can see how far out the next service is due. I do 90% of my own maintenance and repairs. So having a section for notes is awesome. I did not realize how little money I was spending on services by doing the work myself (compared to having a garage do it all).

I’ve used my data on the app to help determine when tires might need replacing. Love the reminders for cabin and engine air filters. Great for helping me diagnose if my A/C was failing or simply normal leak rate give the years and mileage between top-offs.

Backups to cloud and data transfer to new phones is also a great feature they have included that I really love.

In typical American fashion I did not consider all of the ramifications of my purchase. So when it came to filling up my tank to track my mileage it was necessary to choose a new application. This app out of the numerous available seemed to work the best. I like the look of the app. However, inputting information takes a little effort. Inputting data could be altered by simply graying out the areas where input is unnecessary and by also automatically adding in the 9/1000 (which I’m certain is an USA only issue). I do also notice that the Service and Repair tabs are essentially the same. Which is probably for aesthetic purposes (fine by me as I love the symmetry)! I emailed the developer about some other features that would be nice. Hope I hear back from whomever this is. Cheers!

Bought and paid for this app for access via a new iWatch. 3 months later the publisher changed to a subscription; REALLY? GREEDY! GREEDY! Now DELETED! Refund expected!

I’m now Fuelio, which is a great app! Check it out.

They changed the app after several years and discontinued the old one so you completely lose all your data. Became a new app that you again had to buy and had no option to move data over either from the old app. Worst company ever.

I bought the premium features when this app started years ago.
Now it is pestering me to buy a subscription this app is convenient. That convenience is not worth getting nickel and dimed monthly, yearly, etc. I will be looking for an alternative.

There is a bug in this app.
It is no longer adding the decimal after you enter the total cost, cost per gal, and volume.

There is no manual way in adding a decimal as I have to copy and paste these items from another app which is a total inconvenience.

Can’t upgrade - though I paid for the upgrade, the 2 apps will not recognize each other. Therefore I’m unable to export nor import any data. It’s frustrating, but what is worse is that my initial service request (many many months ago) went ignored. I’ll keep trying.

Before the upgrade, all the vehicle info (VIN #, tire size...) was readily accessible, now I can’t find them anywhere. Inputting fuel info can’t be done, the decimal point is non functioning. Real disappointment with this upgrade. It was so simple to use the old version.

I paid for the pro version of this app several years back. Somewhere along the line, they developer renamed Fuel Monitor to Fuel Monitor Pro and stopped supporting the previously paid for version. Realized this week updating iOS and was notified the app was no longer supported.

App could use a lot of improvements. The fields should be more descriptive. When you add a new service, it ask for month intervals. Not sure what "month intervals" means, but some services are done my miles intervals and not necessarily months. Some things about the app are just ambiguous.

I've been using this app for about 3 months now and have preferred it to any of the other car tracking apps in the App Store. Sadly, with the latest update, I can no longer open this app on my phone.

If a fix isn't put out in the next day or two I'll be trolling for a new app to track my car data.

Just got the Pro version. Haven’t gotten into the utility side but I thought it would be nice app and export tool to track servicing. Come to find out after paying for the Pro ($1.99) if you want to export you have to pay additional $0.99. This should have been included in the “Pro” version. I will update after use of the app.

I used the free app for over a year, without any problems. Then the date selection stopped working for fuel entries. So I decided to pay for the app upgrade. There went my two bucks. The upgrade does the same thing; and, as if that wasn't enough, I can't figure out how to transfer my data without paying another buck; and, there's no support available.

I have used this app for years and had info from four vehicles on it. The app suddenly said that the app needed to be updated to work with the current version of the operating system. I purchased the new version assuming that it would find the data on my iPad from my old version. I was wrong. What a waste of time and money to use this app and then lose all data due to a lack of update.

I have purchased the full version and when I go back to the original app to migrate, I get an error saying I need to purchase the full app. It send me to the Apple store and it says “open” I do and absolutely nothing. I have rebooted my phone and nothing. I tried exporting and importing and I get most data but my vehicle info does not export/import. I will just use the original Fuel Monitor app and not the full version.
