My wife wanted a refund from Amped Local because she lost her job after making a payment. She had some money left to pay, but they said they couldn't refund it. They suggested she start with a cheaper plan and they would contact her later. Two months passed before she heard from them again. During that time, my income decreased a lot. We were behind on bills and mortgage payments. My wife contacted them again because every dollar counts. The money she paid could cover our mortgage and late fees for this month. They wanted her to get loans to pay the remaining balance or pay $197 a month. They refunded the wrong amount and we haven't heard from them since.

I left my info and they called me back the next day. The guy said they had to see if I was a good fit. He sent me to another guy who explained it to me. I said I'm not good with tech and need one-on-one help. He said I'd have a coach to talk to. I paid $9,500 and my coach called once, then disappeared. The 8-week class was one hour a week with lots of people on Zoom. We were always referred to videos, but I don't learn well from them. They sold us expensive apps we needed to be successful. One was $6,000 and they didn't mention it before. I thought I was buying a complete program, not just a skeleton. After the class, I was still confused and didn't know how to start. I lack expertise and told them that. I tried to file a complaint from my phone, but they wanted evidence. The contract I signed wasn't available anymore. This company is slippery. I should have seen through it, but I didn't. Many people in my class were in the same boat or worse. I hope this review helps others not get ripped off.
