Keranique don't fall for it like I have

I had ordered a free trial of Keranique my debit card was chared the $7.95 but I was also sent other advertising for budget savers which I told them I was not interested in that. when I called Keranique and said I was not wanting them to send out anymore they said they already had and they wanted me to pay that $150.00 bill I told them I did not want it and then they said if I paid S86.95 that I would be locked into that price if I ever ordered from them again and that they would send me out a free shampoo. I did recieve the free shampoo but I do not plan on ever ordering from them again ITS a SCAM. Most of those that avertise on TV to try something for a 30 0r 60 day trial are because when they send it out the next time they attach a big bill with it. Don't fall for it like I have!

This is definitely a scam! I called within the 30-day trial period to cancel and was told it was canceled on that date. Then my credit card statement a couple of weeks later revealed two charges or $79.95 each made on the same day I called. When I contacted a representative was informed that I had agreed to the charges on the cancellation call, which is totally false. They refuse to credit my account. This company is so deceptive and truly violates the false advertising of the trial period and return policy, etc. WHAT A SCAM! Wished I had read the above comments before I fell for this! This is such a scam! I had fallen for the same thing. I ordered the product and the 30 days was a crock. I called to cancel because the product made my hair greasy and limp. When I tried explaining to the rep she told me that I was using the product the wrong way. What, by going by the instructions on the bottles was wrong? I asked. She said Well depending on your hair type you have to leave in your hair a little longer.then she tried to sell me another product for hair growth and volume. AS IF! I was still charged the full price of the product and to send it back for a refund you have to pay shipping and handling and that was just a joke too. The next bank statement had another charge for a shipment that I didn't even receive. I had to call them and waited 25 mins to actually talk to someone who had told me that the shipment wasn't out yet. So, I was paying for something that I had canceled, that wasn't shipped out in the first place, and was sitting there collecting extra funds for their pocket. Had I not took a close look at my bank statement I would have never known they did that.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM! They bundle a bunch of mediocre products (shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment and nioxin) then charge you almost $200.00! They say try it for 30 days but it's really only 2 weeks because the time it takes for shipping to and from them is included. The first time I used the product I liked the result enough, but after continuous use, the hair felt limp, weak and unclean. When I called to return it, they said my 30 days had expired and they were going to charge me for the balance of $80.00. What a waste of money! The product that makes your hair grow is the nioxin which you can buy anywhere. But Keranique bundles all this other stuff so they can charge you an unreasonable amount of money. My suggestion is to buy a nioxin shampoo from a store and save your money.

I wish I had looked up this board first. I ordered last evening trail 49.95. My Amex Card has been charged over $600.00 in 5 different charges. All still pending. I’ve contacted Amex. I called and called the customer service number. After hitting 3 for orders placed it cuts me off 7 times!. I’ve emailed, said may be 2/4 days for an answer. I instructed Amex all fraudulent charges. I will change my card number. What a scam. This “company” prays on women that are suffering from hair loss.

I saw the advertisement on TV one night, sounded good. Got on my computer and looked it up. Filled out the information for the 'free trail', then when it got to the end, it asked to charge $3.95 to my card. I immediately left the sight, I don't do cards on unfamiliar sites. Two days later I got a call from them, catching me by surprise. My intuition was screaming RED FLAG but I didn't heed it to my demise. They lulled me in as the representive, unrelenting, assured me that I could cancel at any time. So I asked her how much would it be after the (so call) 'free trail period' if I wanted the product. She told me there would be two charges of $35.00 for the first shipment and then went into a blather of an explanation about sending me a shipment every two months. I asked her what if I didn't need that much product, couldn't I just call when I needed more? She told me after the '30 day trail period', I could talk to them and make arrangements .
Expeditiously they sent the shipment in the mail. I was stunned when I reviewed the statement. I was being charged, not the $35.00 she said it would be; this was a $79.00 charge the first month and another $79.00 the second month, adding up to $163.95 in total. WHAT! I couldn't get to them on the phone. I immediately cancelled my card and told the bank I surmised this was a SCAM. I emailed the company to cancel and to send me a 'return label' as they had said. RED FLAG again. i was in trouble, becaue they emailed me back stating that they needed $6.95 for the 'return label'' I emailed them back and requested they send me an address to send a moeny order for the 'return label'. They emailed me and said they would get back with me in 'two business days'. I see this is going to be a battle. I should have followed my first mind, and to add insult to injury, I really like the product, I could have just purchased it on Amazon, where I am a member.

Keranique dissapointed on products

I feel that your 30 day guarantee is not enough sufficient time to try out the protect. My name is Charlene Curran, I ordered protect on 3/7/12 ad received on 3/22/12. I've used your protect since that time and still have not noticed any difference in my hair growth. "The-Try-It-Before-You-Buy-It-Program" is for first time customers only. I tried it (30 days) and now I must pay for it. I've paid $79.95 in April and now I want to cancel any future shipments 5/12/12 Confirmation # 6073808. I wanted to return and not pay for any future charges. They would not let me return the products. They want to charge me another charge in May of $79.95.

The male Customer Service Rep was very rude and would not let me get a word in. He raise his voice a lot, I called 5/12/12 2:58 P.M. PST. I wasn't going to dispute charge of 4/22/12 but I wanted to cancel and return product before charge of 5/22/12. He would not let me do that. He would reduce price to $59.95, $20 discount. I believe if your customer is not happy after 1 1/2 months that they should be able to return product and not have to pay the second month.

I understand that the 30 days is to make sure you have no reaction to the product. But as far as if it really works would take longer to get results. The Customer Service Rep when I ordered said it would take a couple of months to see results. I would think they would want customer reviews to be favorable. I've read a lot of customer's reviews that are not happy about their products and service.

I called back again on 5/12/12 spoke to a Kesha ext: 354. She was pleasant to talk to. Was only able to reduce last charge to $49.95 $30.00 discount. I hoped to cancel at no additional charge and return product. The product price is quite expensive. There is other products that can be purchased for quite a bit less. Advertisement for this product looks good but it doesn't seem to work. There is companies that back their products and this company is not one of them. Product needs to work.

I hope that the CEO and or any Higher Ups in this company, if you care about your customer (me) would reimburse for products that does not work. Your Company should stand by your products.

I found this price on HSN Price: $99.95 for the same products that we all paid with Keranquie $159.90 + S/H charge. I also have to add I never received the Hair Mousse that was on Back/Order in March which is now in.

Very Dissatisfied Customer

Keranique fraudulent billing

I ordered the free sample of keranique over the phone. I was under the impression that i would be billed $7. 95 for the sample. . When i checked my statement it showed a deduction of $168. 85. I called and spoke with angela and she said that i had made a mistake and offered to pay the full amount. How dumb do they think i am? When i asked to speak to a manager and threatened to take legal action through consumer protection she came back on the line to tell me that she would be depositing my money back into the bank, less the $7. 95. I have yet to receive the product or the refund. I wish that i had checked more carefully before making that call. I am still filing a formal complaint against the company through consumer protection.

I received a Keranique offer through amazon, after I answered several questions/ I could choose several product and I chose Kerantique.
I called because I noticed they were going to bill me$127.40 for the vitimins. I called and told them that I did not want the vitimins and she said that I owed like $275, that this was not a free offer.
I had cancelled in the past because they were always sending something else. I am on social security and cannot afford it.
this is a total scam.
I am going to contact the better business bureau and anyone else I can get ahold of They told me they could they to.
not put me through to billing

When you hear the work Keranique - RUN! These are the most crooked, dishonest people that I have ever dealt with. They will not work with you. They help themselves to your money with or without your permission. I can't believe that they haven't been shut down. I have heard multiple complaints. Wish me luck because I called them this morning to straighten things out and got talked to as if my IQ were 30. They are extremely rude. Watch out! Oh, and by the way, that 2 months supply they try to charge you for is only a 30 day supply. Don't believe anything they say or you will be sorry. I am also planning on contacting the better business bureau and consumers protection people.

This comment is exactly what happened to me, but the guy I spoke to was so rude, I got the impression that I may not get the $175 back even if I did send back the products, so I just kept them and swallowed the cost. Seeing the other comments, I guess I got away well--at least I got something. The product is nice, but not nearly worth the price. The special "FDA approved" hair growth formula is just minoxidil, which you can buy off the shelf 3 boxes for $20.

I cancelled the product 2 weeks after receiving it - by e-mail (which when you call to cancel they tell you to send them an e-mail) - they confirmed that they cancelled the order & I assumed that was that - NO, , they continued to charge my account for the order. Apparently they sent a note stating you must telephone them to get the return information! But they never answer the phone! I will change my card number - too bad they are not honest with their customers. I am going to file with Consumers Protection.

Keranique never cancelled order

I tried to *cancel* the product, well before the end of the free 30 day period, as initially instructed. I was told by cs that if the product bottles were not received in the next few days, that my
Credit card would be continuously charged for the full product price ($80. 00) on an auto ship program! The return # is rma 1848479. How do i prevent them from continuously charging me for a product that i don't want, as i already spoke with cs, as well sending a cancellation email to their website?

I call them again and he said I didn't cancel the auto shipment. I say what? Of course I cancelled the entire thing, what a crock! Now I am waiting for my credit card bill to come in and I will bet money they have charged me and I will not see a credit! just makes my blood boil, They should be investigated by someone!

Keranique what free trial?

Well, late last night I ordered this so called free trial. I got my order number and confirmation, called the company's customer service and found out that they were going to bill my card a total of $205.65. The customer service man was very nice when I called to cancel.

This is not free, nor do I want them to have access to my credit card.

Also, the operator kept me on the phone for over 1/2 hour with various different offers last night when I did order.

Anyway, I decided to cancel the whole thing. I take biotin, available in any drugstore and my hair is thicker now in any case.

If you decide to order this, please ask for the final total. It may surprise you as it did me.

Beware, they are slick. Hopes this helps all.

Keranique automatic withdrawals

I ordered Keranique in December. I just got another shipment with details of when the auto withdrawal would come out of my account. Next payment due 2/19/12. Today 1/21/12 they took another payment which led to a bounce on my account. I like the product, but it is not worth bounce check fees whenever they decide to take the money from your account. I recommend you NOT use this product thru their "Try it before you buy it" progrm.

Keranique scam

My hair has been naturally thinning with age so I am always looking for a product to help with that. Heard a radio ad for Keranique. Pay $7.95 for shipping and get $80 worth of product to try. Usually these types of deals are VERY particular about cancellation dates so two days after I received my order I cancelled the club it came with as well as autoship at $80 each month. That month I got a bill on my credit card for $80. I called and a very rude man asked if I had my paperwork. (I swear to you there were 8 or pages of gobbledygook that came with this trial. I said no but I had cancelled two days after my shipment. He said it doesn't matter, you still have to pay for the product because you didn't send it back and you didn't read your contract. I asked how I could get a month trial and return it if I didn't want more if I had to send it back. No answer---no help. I spoke to my credit card company and a month later they said I had to pay because Keranique said I didn't return the product in time. STAY AWAY from these scam artists. The product is not free to try---they will make sure there is no way you can cancel and that you will have to pay for the product---$80! ! !

Hey! In spite of all of the bad reviews, I ordered the trial using my EDD card (the balance on it was $10). I called (and emailed them) that I was not satisfied with it and that I would send it back. Immediately afterwards, they sent me a 2nd bottle (anyway) and tried to collect from the card. Now I have received 2-month's supply and only paid for 1. BTW I didn't send them back the 1st bottle since they did that to me. Who scammed who? I told them that I had sent the bottle back and that they should receive it, "any day now." Well it's been 2 months and my hair is NO different. I believe that it's just a bunch of paid models misrepresenting them. Hopefully more folks will do what I did to protect themselves. It's bad enough when you have a goal and all they can do is try and suck all of the money out of us, to add to our frustrations.

Saw the tv advertisement, about trying a free offer of Karenique. Called and was advised that I had to pay the $7.95 of shipping and handling charges. I agreed, so the call went in to an long drawn out sales pitch, in which I eventually hung up. Two days later I received a service call from them, which said the reason for their call was to confirm my order, then again tried to sell me a bunch of stuff. I said no repeatedly until they gave up. Then today I received my shipment and promptly call them to inform them I did not want any future shipments to be billed to my credit card they have on file, I would rather order the products personally. Then the service rep informed me that the FREE trial offer would actually cost me well over a hundred dollars. I told her the advertisement said free, she said I could use it for free for 30 days then I had to pay for it. Hmmm, sounds like a scam. When they give free samples at the grocery markets they do not stand there and wait for you to hand it back if you don't like it. They are not in the bathroom with you to get any unused portion. These people are crooks. I did not use any of it and taped up the package and took it back to the post office as refused. I so hope there will be a class action suit against these people, I will so jump on board. With our nation in such hard economic times we should ban together not scam people to get ahead.

Keranique is a scam company that gives all legitimate companies a bad name. To Bad that they are not closed down but get to remain open looking for new victims. Either it is a free trial or it isn' t a free trial - companies should not be allowed to mislead consumers - they should serve up just the facts and stand on their merits - not lookmtomdeceive people who have real needs and fears such as hair loss. Shame on these thieves and miscreants.

Keranique bad stuff

I am happy to say they have refunded my money, not the shipping but oh well. . I was told so many different stories, by the consultants. One was to use only the one bottle, and if I got a rash to use the other one. the next advisor said to use one in the am and the other at night. and the final one said something else that if I had high blood pressure to use the squeeze bottle. He was the supervisor. the shampoo and condition is in my opinion not any good. The mousse is worthless, and the hair FDA approved whatever is a rip off. I think that buyers should look on the Internet, invest in Chinese herbs and vitamins, buy good shampoo, that thickens hair. or just wear nice wigs. What a a rip off this stuff is. God awful .

Wow. I found the ad for Keranique on Fb today and had almost convinced myself to buy it. Then I checked it out online and I'm so glad I did. I have thinning hair, but it's not worth spending all that money (pretty much over $500) when I'm not sure it will even work, or worse, it may make my thinning worse. Thanks so much for your posts.

Keranique ignored, did not receive promised materials

Keranique and budget savers team up to cheat people. They do not deliver the articles promised, and when part of the order is delivered and is unacceptable for any reason, the do not follow through as promised.

Keranique product was to be returned after a "mail back coupon" for 6.95 was to be sent to my email. This was never received after numerous calls to keranique. This was never received.

Budget savers promised a 100.00 gas certificate when the keranique products were tried. This was to be received even wen I told the budget savers that the products and services were unacceptable to me.

Keranique poor/inconsistant customer service

October 12, 2011

Dear Hydroxatone/Keranique:

In the beginning of September I ordered the Keranique Product package after seeing the TV commercial. Upon dialing the number I was greeted by an automated recording that thanked me for contacting Hydroxatone. I mention that only because I am unsure of the company that I am actually dealing with.

A very friendly representative sold me your trial offer for Keranique for $7.95. He explained that I would automatically be signed up for an autoship program and that after the trial period $ 79.95 would be charged to the debit card I provided on a monthly basis for a monthly distribution of the product. He explained that if I was not satisfied with the product that I needed to contact the company before the trial period ended to cancel autoship. Conf. # [protected]. I am a reluctant consumer so I questioned the rep regarding the terms & conditions and asked him pointedly if I could trust that the company would charge no more than the $7.95 to my account within the trial period and that it would be cancelled as promised if I chose to do so. He not only reassured me that ALL I needed to do was call and cancel but he added that I could sue the company should they charge more than agreed upon. I felt reassured.

I received the product October 15th, 2011. By October 29th I called the 800# and spoke with a rep by the name of Crystal ext # 530 (@10:22 a.m. E.T.). I explained to Crystal that I had had a change in finances and knew that I would be unable to continue with the autoship program so I wanted to cancel. Crystal informed me that I would be charged $159.95 and that she would cancel the autoship. Of course I was immediately upset! She went on to say that “since I was upset that she would reduce the price to half the cost & only charge me $80.” I expressed that this was not the agreement, that I felt scammed and that I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Crystal went on to say that if I returned the unused portion of the product at my own cost for shipping that I could avoid any additional charges. I again explained that I was not made aware of these conditions upon ordering and that I would like to speak to a manager. Crystal informed me that I should have read the material received within the product box and refused to let me speak to a manager. I insisted on speaking with a manager. Crystal told me that I would not be permitted to speak to a manager and that if I insisted on being transferred that she would transfer me back into the que which would end in my being transferred right back to her but if that is what I wanted that is what she would do. Obviously I was very unhappy with the lack of professionalism, not to mention severe lack of rationale, but I felt at this point that I was at this persons mercy because I knew that this unprofessional, unethical company had my debit card information and I was fearful of how that information might be used. So in hopes that I had just gotten ahold of a horrific employee, I ended the call and called back. I reached Kyle, ext # 615 (@ 10:31a.m.) Kyle was as condescending and almost as rude as the previous rep but a bit more reasonable. After a brief explanation of my situation he informed me that Crystal had already placed a RMA# on my account. Let me say at this point that I had no idea that she had done this and if I understand your process correctly this began the return process and ultimately began a period of time in which I had to return the product before being “locked in.” THAT IS THE IPIDOMEY OF UNETHICAL. Kyle reiterated the terms regarding returning the items received. He provided me with the return address and advised me to write the RMA# on inside and outside of packing. He advised that I send the product with delivery conformation. (Which I believe will cost me extra.) He then went on to explain that my trial period was not up until October 19th. I began to understand that whether I returned the products immediately or waited until the end of my trial period I was still going to have to pay for shipping to return the products so I may as well keep them and get the use of them until the trial period was closer to over.

In case I have not been clear, it was my initial understanding when ordering that I would be able to keep the products and just cancel further autoship should I decide to do so. It was never mentioned to me that I would need to package and ship unused portion of products back at my expense or at all.

I then told Kyle that based on my understanding I may as well keep the products and get more use of them until trial period is over and then ship back after trial period. Kyle agreed, he then said that I would need to call back for a new RMA# on October 19th, he advised me to ask for his extension if I felt I needed a rep that would do as promised. He added that he noted the account accordingly and that I would have no further problems. Let me remind you that Kyle was just as condescending as he could be during our conversation.

I have had a knot in my stomach since dealing with your reps. This uneasy feeling coupled with my not being satisfied with the product anyway caused me to go ahead and call early to get an updated RMA# and just send the product back early before the trial period ended. So I called today, October 12, 2011 @ 10:40 a.m., I reached Tina, ext# 740. I asked Tina for an RMA# in order to return the product. Tina, who was as consistently rude and unprofessional as the previous reps, informed me that there was already a RMA# on my account. I briefed Tina on my interactions with your company and asked that I be transferred to Kyle @ ext # 615. Tina put me on hold. When she failed to return I disconnected and tried the call again. While I was calling in Tina called me back. She informed me that Kyle was busy & could not take my call. I asked to speak to a manager; she then told me that managers would not take calls. Again I felt at the mercy of this unprofessional company with ridiculous representatives. After further explanation Tina informed me that there were 2 RMA#’s already on my account, that I would have to use the last one, and that I would have to still return by October 19th. I asked why Kyle’s information differed from hers. I also pointed out that if she was correct and Kyle had given me misinformation that when I did call Kyle back on the 19th that I would be unable to return the product BY the 19th therefore I would have been deceived even further and ultimately charged the $80 or worse the $160. She explained that the only way Kyle could have given me a new RMA# if I called back on the 19th is if he “wiped out” my balance and that he would “get in trouble for doing that.”

At this point I simply asked her what I needed to do. She continued in her unprofessional, rude tone and explained that I needed to return the products using the RMA# 1565488, there are more rude details and inconsistencies but I am so done with this that I will ask you to just pull the calls and listen for yourself. Surely I have provided enough info that you can easily pull each of the calls.

So I am returning this product. I am putting a copy of this letter in the return box, I am also lodging a complaint via email with a copy of the same letter and I am going to personally make sure everyone I know on a personal level has a full explanation of my experiences with your company so that they themselves don’t fall prey to your unethical practices.

Thank you at least for reading the entire complaint. Although I hope this reaches someone within your company that cares about customer service and that person does something in an attempt to rectify the treatment I received I do not expect it. If your company charges anything more to my account I will spend every dime I have to ensure you are held accountable.

Most sincerely,

Rebecca Bledsoe

Keranique's autoship policy is nothing more than a scam. I agree totally with Rebecca. DO NOT purchase this product. Buy Rogaine instead. It has the same active ingredient as Keranique - 2% monoxidol. You can purchase Rogaine from Walmart and most drug stores so that you can control when you are charged. No surprises.

It's a bit naive to think that a company is going to just give you a full set of products for $7.95. You have to read the fine print which most people don't take the time to do and then ### about it later.

I'm not a rep of the company for Keranique, however if I were you I would go back and look at the dates you have posted. You said you ordered the products in September and received them on October 15 and made your first call to the 800# on October 29 all in 2011; you later change your dates. That to me is VERY ODD. The only way to be sure they won't charge you any additional fees is to contact your bank and request to close that account or ask for a new card with a new number. If you take any further action with the company YOU NEED TO GET YOUR DATES FIGURED OUT so you don't look like more of an idiot.

I had a bad experience with Keranique customer service reps...they were rude, condescending and uninformed. I should have gotten a free fortifying mousse (as stated on the invoice) for taking up the trial offer but didnt receive it. The reps then tried to convince me that the mousse is actually in the hair regrowth treatment (hahahahaha)...then she apparently checked and said she will send it out to me next week...(day 1 and im waiting..lets see if i will every receive it)...im satisfied with their products but not happy with the overall service. It really sucks.

Keranique shared my information

I ordered a trial offer and gave my credit card for "shipping charges". Then my credit card was billed for $76.95. The main product is the same Minoxadil found much cheaper and sold in drugstores.

Then I got a charge on my credit card for "Savings 2 Go" for $14.95 which I did not authorize. I called them and found out that it was because I ordered the Keranique.

I also got a call from a life insurance company saying they would cover me free for 2 months and then start charging my credit card after that. I asked how they got my credit card information they said they would use the same credit card I used for "Savings 2 Go". This all leads back to Keranique.

I am going to call them and have all my information removed from their files. If you have not gotten involved with them DON'T!

Keranique product not received

I ordered Keranique by phone (8-8-11). I have not received the product and the letter that's supposed to give me a free trial and a $100.00 gas card. They took out $7.95 for Keranique and for their sister company (ACM Beauty Advisor a trial for $1.50 & $1.50 on 8-9-11 at 16:54 and 17:39. They were supposed to to send a package with the gas card and trial immediately. Nothing was received and I want my money back, immediately! I want no further dealings with this company after reading the many complaints! I won't let you cheat me and neither will my bank!

I returned the products I had ordered & FINALLY received PART of my refund, but now they are taking out a dollar a month for an ADVISOR, that I don't want or need OR asked for, out of my checking account. I want this stopped & the money put back into my account! This company is a FRAUD & CROOKED by taking money out of everyone's account for an advisor they don't need, especially when we don't even have or use their products. WHY WOULD WE NEED A STUPID ADVISOR, MUCH LESS HAVE TO PAY MONTHLY FOR A SERVICE WE'LL NEVER USE, WITH NONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS!

This is the biggest fraud I have ever seen. It cost $7.95 to get the "free" products then it cost you $6.95 to return the products. They then keep charging your card $1.00 for something and I am scared they are going to keep charging so I am reporting them as fraudulent charges to remedy the problem. I called and left a message with them but they really don't care.

Yes I agree with what was written above, the advertising of the product is false and misleading and the product is a scam.
The customer service people tell lies and give misleading information.
If you live outside of the USA you have so much trouble getting your money back when you send back the product.
They are happy to steal from you, but pay you back is another issue.

Keranique free offer

This product was advertised on KNUS 710 Bob Brinker show on Sunday, 3/20/11 at approximately 4:47pm. It was touted as a "free offer", and when I called for the offer, and after paying the shipping and handling charge for the free product, I was subjected to several long requests to sign up for other/more products. I refused everyone. The final offer was a "free" gift card offer from WalMart or some other retailer (I forgot who), but by that time I was so disgusted that I hung up the phone after 15 minutes of listening to offer after offer. Because this was a radio offer and a telephone call, there are no photos.

I totally agree with the consumers comments above. I received the product, HAVE NOT EVEN USED IT and want to ship back because they already charged my account the first $77.00! I have had some medical problems and had not been able to use it yet but when I called, the rep said I was committedbecause my time had passed and I didn't respond in time?! I think its a crock. I may even close my bank account because they told me I was responsible for the other $77.00! I DONT EVEN GO TO A HAIR SALON BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY LET ALONME PAY $150 FOR SOME DAMN SHAMPOO! I'm contacting the BBB and Keranique management if I can.

I agree 100%. These people prey on poor, desparate, women like myself! I am post menepousal, and of course I'm suffering with thinning hair. Like most other women that are dealing with the same problem, I was sucked in by these vultures. Yes it's true that when the automated system is suppose to take information for your order, they bombard you with over 10 other offers! I can imagine that a lot of women get worn down and just say yes to a lot of those offers. The product it's self did nothing for my me, or 3 of my friends! "DISHONESTY" is never a good policy! If these people meant us well, they would reimburse our money immediately! That's if you can reach anyone because I have yet to! If all the women they have ripped off should file a class action suit against the Karanique company, they would think twice about their way of doing business, or be out of business!

Seriously,
Ms. Bev

Keranique dishonesty

I just received their product yesterday and I am sending back it in the mail. Your great hair regrowth product is nothing more than what is found in Minoxidil (Rogaine) for women and can be purchased over-the-counter, AND is does not cost almost $80.

Also, I am very dissatified to find an additional $3.00 charged to my account when only the $7.95 Shipping & Handling was supposed to charged just to try this "amazing new product". The $3.00 was billed in two seperate charges of $1.50 each for "yourbeautyadvisor". I did not ask for that. What this company did was made the promotional offer, I accepted and gave them my charging information. From there it one promotion after the other that I keep telling them, all I wanted to try was the Keranique. A 2-3 minute phone call ended up being almost a 30 minute phone call. I was very upset. My first gut feeling was not to bother with this, and I now see that I should have gone with my first thought. All this company has done was to reenforce to me that purchasing anything hurried and without research almost ALWAYS spell disaster and discontentment.

This promotional offer is nothing but a front to offer 10 to 15 other offers, that if you are not careful, you will say yes to something unaware. If you are taking part in this offer, please check your account for other sneaky charges (ex. $1.50 charges that added up)

Thank you for your Comment to my Comment. That is your right. However, your experience is yours and mine is mine. The point of my complaint was that this company is not honest in there disclosures about this "NEW" product. The only thing new about it is the name Keranique. Minoxidil, which is what they are packaging, has been around for years and it does not cost 79.95. When you read the active and inactive ingrediants on Rogaine and Keranique, they are identical.

Also, to your charge that I did not listen to entire call. I do not know HOW in the world you would think that unless you was on my call yourself, ease dropping and then you hung up before the call was finished. Perhaps you work for this great company...(just a thought). I talked to a live person for over 30 minutes. I said no to ALLLLLL additional promotions. At the end of my long call, I to was informed of my charges which would be 7.95 for shipping and handling. THAT IS ALL. The product cost of 79.95 would be billed to me after the trial period ended if I did not cancel. For your information, since your brought this up, my subscription was cancelled and handled very professionally and in a timely manner. THAT IS NOT MY COMPLAINT. My complaints are about the failure to disclose what this wonder product is really made of and for making the unauthorized $3.00 charge to my bank acount in two separate transactions of $1.50 each one week apart. Unfortunantly for them, I balance my acount to ensure my transactions are correct. You MAY think, what is the big deal about $3.00, but look at it this way; say this company fraudulently charges me $3.00 and theydo the same with 1, 000, 000 other customers who do not report it or demand a refund. That is an extra $9, 000, 000 they would collect without selling a thing or service. Hyperthically speaking. There are thousands of company who have lost Class Action Lawsuits for fraudulently charging customers too much or without their concent.

I want to alert future customers and warn them to keep check of their Charge/checking account for charges they did not authorized.

Again, your experience is yours and mine is mine. However, I do appreciate you directing your comment to me because it assisted me in clarifing so things and to bring out the point of my complaints. I am just an honest consumer who expect and demands an honest product and honest service. Charge me for a service I requested and that is all.

Have a blessed day Take,

V/r

Just found this blog...And have to agree with most of you that THIS COMPANY, Keranique, should be investigated by each state's attorney general, I received an empty package stamped with "RECEIVED WITHOUT CONTENTS" and "RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION" that only had a rubber band around the package (no TAPE of any kind). They billed my account after the date of shipping; and was billed again after I had complained about not receiving the items ordered. i have been billed twice within 10 days for over $54.00; that's over $108.00,
This is a new way to deplete funds of individuals; and is a scam. All of these folks should be investigated by the FBI, CIA; homeland security. SEC and IRS.

Omg I just had a call from a sales rep. When trying to find out the cost of the product you can't go further unless you enter your details. So I proceeded. I didn't buy the product because I don't like the fact they can just take money from your account monthly I would rather pay for it when I need it. So I didn't continue. I just received a phone call asking if I want to continue I said no thank you I don't want to pay for something every month when I may not need it. And asked to have my detail removed from the data base she told me it would take 30 days and you will probably still get calls, When I asked why? She hung up on me... Rude ###. NOW I won't be buying this product even if I can buy it as I need it. Gets some manners your trying to sell a product to me

If you want your money (which has been obtained by trickery, deceipt and fraud), then you better respond to my complaint in person and stop sending me automated responses. I WILL NOT PAY unless my questions are answered and as long as you keep sending me automated responses!

Helena, You are not "stupid"! Who even says that anymore?! Anyway when they called for a trial from filling out a survey for shopping at home I spoke to a man, wont mention his name here. He sold me on Keranique and when I asked If my hair would fall out if I stop using it, like the way Rogaine works and he insisted "no, no, no" it'll stay after you stop using. Then one thing said you'll see a difference in 2wks while their instructions on the paper says it takes up to at least four months to see a difference and you will lose your regrowth if stop taking it. SOB! This is SUCH A WASTE OF TIME! I do like the texturing spray but it sometimes tends to make my straight hair more tangled and frizzy after I do the comb thru on damp hair. This is my first week and I'm just sending it back because of false advertising. It came with a return label so I'll pop it in mail tomorrow, wonder if it'll freeze, we're in the negatives here digits here! lol

none of you have to order this product by calling- you can order it online; and I'm sure Amazon carries it if you don't want to deal with talking to anyone. I was looking into it for my mom and its pretty hilarious seeing you all complain about the sales reps and people hyping the product :)

I'm so glad that I did some research before buying this product. I rather try the Salon, and Rogaine, like suggested in the comments. And Helena, that individual who responded negative to you must work for Keranique company. And Yes them $3 dollars do add up, you did the right thing, and got your money back

Ladies if you like wasting money, by all means buy Keranique. But if you want to really re grown hair and make your hair thicker, go to Wal Mart and buy a 3 month supply of Equate Hair Re growth Treatment for Women, a 3month supply is $18.76 plus tax. It has the same active ingredient as any other hair re growth treatment. The only ingredient proven to re grow hair is Minoxidll, the active ingredient is all hair re growth products. Rogaine is the same thing as the WalMart brand, & other generic brands & is much less expensive then Keranique in case you're to good to shop Wal Mart or a comparable discount retailer. Also don’t get the product for men, it contains 5% minoxidll, and the women’s product contains 2%.

Thanks for posting the active ingredient in Keranique. I searched their site and could not find it so I figured it was something available OTC. Also, no price is mentioned, so I knew it was pricey. I am going to the dermatologist instead of buying Keranique at this time. Also I have purchased one of the "red light therapy" products made exclusively for hair loss, and it is working, even on my eyebrows, but I would like even better results if possible .

Keranique anyone had any dealings with them?

I had severe hair loss and to this day am unsure of the reason why. I had long hair down my back, for 8 months my hair wouldn't stop falling out. Out of total frustration, i went to the barber and had them cut it in a bob length. It went from thick to thin and long to short!

This year 2010, my husband ordered a 3 month supply of a keranique packet for me. I was upset because it cost $160. 00

After the 1st month there was a noticeable difference in my hair concerning length, thickness and strength. The shampoo and conditioner used together worked wonders for my hair! In about 2 weeks, i will be just finishing up the product and i will definitely order so more!

Oh, and i did kiss my husband for making such a wise choice. :)

I can email you before and after pictures if interesting in seeing my personal and truly amazing results. [protected]@yahoo.Com

I have been using Keranique for six months now. My husband tells me he can see little hair growing all over my scalp. I can see a difference in my hairline. To me, it was worth every penny I paid for it. I was not sure if it would work with me having a thyroid problem and being heriditary. But it is wonderful to see all the new hair growth. Yes, it can be used on colored hair, I dye mine every three momths and the color doesn't fade. Sorry to here many of you are having problems with customer services. My suggestion is when you get a customer service rep. on the phone, ask for their name and ID number. I have found out the reps are willing to work with the customers more, hoping that they will be asked for by name.

Never received this package thought it was a free trial and was charged S&H and charged $79.80 for the package. Put this into dispute and blocked them from using my credit card for a long time. Putting this amount into dispute and will not pay any of it.

No new dealings, but after I complained vehemently, they said they did refund my money. Haven't seen the check yet . . . .

I am amazed that Keranique has to employ its own paralegal to deal with the many, many complaints posted online in so many different venues All they ever had to do was treat their customers with respect. Apparently it will be difficult lesson for them to learn.

This product is a complete ripoff. The company is very deceptive in their advertising. I completed a survey and the product was one of the items that I could choose from as a way of saying thanks. It was a trial sample as stated in the advertising and I would have to pay $3.95 for shipping and handling. Okay. I paid the money. The product arrived and I closely read the description and ingredients. This product is not for me since I have Thyroid Disease. I didn't even use them. I threw them out. Weeks later to my surprise I get another box. Checked my bank account and was charged $7.95 and $79.95. Immediately called them and was given the run around. The representative did not answer any of questions as to why I was charged these amounts. I was told I would not get the money back. I was given a return number and sent the unopened package back the same day. I told him I don't ever want anything from this company ever. People need to be aware of this company.

And now I find out that keranique has their very own paralegal to handle complaints! What on earth does a hair product company need a paralegal for? Seems quite interesting to me and tell-tale sign that something is very wrong with this company.
