My name is Jaime Kolarek and I purchased a brand-new home in Aug 31, 2021, was my closing date. I have been having issues with a crack that goes through out the middle of my kitchen/ family room since the beginning of moving in. The issue was addressed on my 10-month inspection around August 2022 along with other repairs that needed to be done, I have been working with Brian from KB homes. Several months later and many no shows for my ceiling repair. Around November 2022 there was a repair done to the ceiling but was not fixed. June 5th, 2023, I texted Brian to let him know the ceiling was worse and sent him pictures of it. June 28th, I sent a text to Brian wanting an update on the ceiling advising him this would be the 4th time fixing it and hope for a more perm solution. Also advised him the painter painted the wrong color for a piece of siding that needed to be fixed. which still has not been corrected. Another month went by. August 1st texted Brian to make my home a priority and to please fix the ceiling. Brian texted back stating he was going to call his sheetrock guy. August 2nd, He advised will have the framer come by to make sure no structural issues with the ceiling, August 9th advised Brian framer guy no show. August 11th framer guy comes by no issue with roof, August 30th texted Brian on status of the ceiling. Brian advised will out in the next few days to check the scope of the job which they did. October 2nd text to brian another month has gone by when are they going to fix the ceiling and I need a date and they need to show up. They were supposed to show up at 8am Friday the 6th to start the job and texted brian at 12:12 with no response from Brian. The sheetrock guys came around 3pm with no call to tell me they would be late. Oct 18th Asked Brian for the number to the drywall contractor. They came to my house with no warning. Had no idea what was going on. They don't speak English so could not communicate with them. They wanted me to move furniture and I had just started working. I advised them they would need to schedule a time when I'm ready for them and can't just show up at 8am. My husband works nights. Set up for the work to start Oct 25th. Oct 27th the ceiling was textured and set up with brian to have the ceiling painted Nov 6th or 9th. October 28th day after work finished text to brian letting him know the crack was back and worse than before, November 9th text to Brian asking him what is going on? Scheduled for the drywall guy to come back out the following week. He came Monday Nov 13th. Text from Brian on the 16th he was checking to see if the work was done. Advised Brian he came by took a look and took some pictures and left. I was able to google translate, and he told me the tape had teared and was waiting on his boss to see what to do. So, I am still waiting on my ceiling to be repaired. This has been a complete nightmare. My ceiling has been repaired 5 plus times and still not fixed. This is an inconvenience to my home, work, husband, animals. We are trapped for two days in our bedroom while the repair is taking place let alone the mess they make when they leave. They got drywall all over my walls and my kitchen walls which will now have to be repainted which I spent my vacation from work to do year ago. During the process one of my recess lightings stopped working and has not been fixed. There has been no communication or a timeline on when it will be done. The work is not quality, nor do I trust the fact it will be done correctly. They have worked on it at least 5 times with no positive outcome. So here I am 2 years later, and my ceiling is still not repaired. My furniture not put back because I have no idea if and when they will show up to fix it. We have no confidence that whomever KB hires to do work will be competent in that work. There are no many issues with the craftmanship of this brand-new home, The walls are not even straight. The tile in the shower has no grout on top. The backyard is not level to the point where you have to walk sideways in hopes you don't break your ankle. All these issues have been discussed with brian numerous times, but nothing has been corrected. I just want my house back. I have bought lighting, and ceiling fans for the kitchen and family room/dining room 2 years ago that have not been put up because I am waiting for the ceiling to be perm repaired. I hope to find a solution to this nightmare.

Desired outcome: I would like compensation and also compensation to have the jobs professional done by a person our our choosing.
