Repair of my 2018 kia sorento
On July 5th 2021 I took my vehicle into Jim Ellis kia of Kennesaw for a popping noise in the front and rear end of the vehicle. Since then it has gotten way worse.
I was told they would call me when a loaner vehicle was available.
I have emailed, called and left messages well over 50 times. I’m to the point to where I am sending hourly emails and NO one has reached out to me.
2 weeks ago I did get a call from the used car GM.
Offering me to come trade in. Then not a peep.
I am beyond frustrated. The dealership is telling me I can rent a car until my repair is complete and they will reimburse me. Who has that kinda money.
I am a full time firefighter and I have to have a vehicle for work I simply can’t just drop it off for who knows how long.
Like I said the noise is getting worse.
I have owned 3 kias 2 currently and have never had this type of disrespect from a dealership.
Desired outcome: I would like to trade it in at this point. Or buy back the vehicle to make me whole again so I can wash my hands of this dealership. Even if it’s another manufacturer vehicle due to the Ellis family owing several dealerships.
Service from Jim Ellis Chevrolet with my 2005 Silverado
Jim Ellis Automotive Group has had my truck in their shop for the 6th time in 5 months, due to the fact that they have no idea how to correct a problem within their Product. I have had an Idiot light/engine emblem come on and when this happens. all the power being used will be reduced to 15-20 MPH, at any and all times of the day or night; hot or cool weather. There is a electrical item you can get from Auto Zone that will erase the code that the computer is basing this problem on. Problem is that even this eraser gadget will only work a few times and the engine will even override it and turn the engine off; wherever you might be.
My truck is in Jim Ellis' lot in Chamblee right now, and has been there since Tuesday morning; Aug 30, 2022.
I've asked them today, this morning, if there was ant progress yet, and the answer was a resounding No. That's 4 days without any progress, and the next week won't start till Tuesday.
I need help from GM in Detroit; in the worst way. Please help.
Desired outcome: Fix my truck or refund my money they have taken. And there are 2 parts that they sold to an independent dealer, and they replaced each, knowing that they came from this Automotive Group, that were under warranty. I think that's illegal.
2005 Silverado and Jim Ellis Chevrolet
Have taken this Truck to Jim Ellis 5 tines in the 5 months and they can resolve the issue. I have GM on the phone now and have been waiting for a supervisor now for 15 minutes, with no help yet.
Have records of payments $3106.96 and it's still in the shop for the 5th time in 5 months. Can not get any service @ the [protected].
The phone service is terrible and the person answering the phone sounds like an 18 old kid that couldn't give a crap if anyone connects to this call.
The issue is "Engine Power Failure" and this Automotive Group has no idea on how to fix the issue; for anything longer than 2 weeks.
My truck in in the shop for the 6th time in 5 months.

Had Jim Ellis Chevrolet do I schedule oil change and tire rotation. It took 2 1/2 hours at that time for the to be completed. Decided to do my own oil and filter change the next time around, when I went to loosen the drain plug bolt, it was virtually impossible to loosen it up as it was way over torqued. Went to remove the oil filter, and again way over torqued. Then just today went to do a tire rotation. The first two tires I had to use a pipe on the end of the lugnut wrench in order to get the lug nuts to budge. Then when I got to the third tire it was so over torqued that when trying to loosen it, it snapped the lug nut bolt in half. I will no longer do business with this dealership nor will I recommend it to any of my family friends or colleagues. This company was paid to perform a service on my vehicle, I what I paid for was very unsatisfactory workmanship. Thank God this happened in my driveway, rather than on a lonely stretch of highway at 3 o'clock in the morning and I end up getting a flat. Thanks for your unprofessional workmanship!

I bought a 2003 VW Beetle Convertible in March 2003. It was in the shop 22 times in 24 months, and Jim Ellis, Jr. told me it was supposed to leak. The roof broke several times; it leaked; the lights went out; the air bag light came on and stayed on for long periods; the electric windows broke; the cd changer broke; the wheel bearings went bad, etc. Jim Ellis VW could not fix the car and when the manager was asked to personally inspect the car to see if repairs had been done properly before calling me to pick it up, he didn't so inspect it and it did not work when I went to pick it up. A lawyer, six months and threat of suit finally convinced Jim Ellis VW to repurchase the car, so it would not be marked as a lemon. I received terrible service and believe that Jim Ellis, Jr. lied when he said the car was supposed to leak (a new one sprayed with water in front of Jim Ellis, Jr. did not leak). I would not trade with VW or Jim Ellis again.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
We were told when we purchased our 2022 Audi in June 2023 that a second key would be ordered and sent to us by finance and our salesman. We still do not have a key, each time we call we are told we need to speak to someone different and told they will call us back… 4 calls in 2 months and no call back.

Ellis deceive the court and myself by not reimbursing me the amount for the vehicle as he stated in court case no. 12M18013. the Judge issue a memorandum to the court clerks office stating; plaintiff needs written permission from Mr.Ellis to continue his legal action.The office of consumer affairs of Georgia is investigating see ref.no.317202.
