on Sunday( [protected]) i place an order, online, for a drive axle for my car. i get to the last page where i am about to press the button to "place order", and i noticed it says that my item will "SHIP" on the 23 to the 29! and the that it will arrive between 4/5 to 4/14! so i thought this must just be a worst case scenario. so i placed my order. after that i placed another order with another company, Tire Rack.
Tuesday [protected]) i got my shipment from Tire Rack! there site said 3-5 days...I got it in two Days! (set of four tires split into two orders because of size and weight) I love this place.
Today, Wednesday [protected]) I thought i should call jcwhitney to see if things are OK.
I get the automated voice, press 3 for shipping, on hold for 2-3 min(not bad!) lady asks for tracking number-i give it...then she tells me that the item will ship on 3-25 to 3-31! and that i will receive it on 4-8 to 4-17 So i ask "what is taking so long"? She says that it is coming from a 2nd party vendor warehouse. So i asked, " I'm not trying to be rude but, why would it take one warehouse longer than another to ship the item"? she sucked in a large amount of air and let it out so hard it sounded like static! and went on to tell me the date that i placed the order (like i didn't know!) the date it is to ship on ( like i was unaware ) and when it should arrive (again the whole reason i was calling) so i said that she didn't answer my question and what she just said was why i/ she cuts me off/ " SIR, (in a extra loud-lips touching the phone-voice) when you were placing the order it clearly stated the date the item would be shipped, them hung up on me! really in this day and age of computers we cant make this process just a little faster? and to be hung up on!
so i called back to speak with a manager!
was on hold for 7 min this time-only to get the same lady, i asked to speak with a manager, she asked for order number! i said that i just want to deal with a manager, she says "well, sir...i need you order number before i can give you over to a manager this is just how we do things here"! so i give it to her and she says on moment please.. 4 min's later she come back and goes over my order, address phone number, the part name and when it will ship and arrive...the says " i don't see the reason why you need to speak with a manager, is there something i can help you with"? so i said, "look i have been on this phone for 10 min now and all i want to do is speak to a manager, i am a paying customer, please put you manager on the phone, i don't know why you are delaying this"! she says "well its only been 5 min sir pleas hold" can you believe that sh**? so i get on the phone with the manager after 15 min's of hold...tell her what happen and she tells me the same thing about the shipping dates...the hole time blowing off all the rudeness and the fact that i was hung up on! so i told her that i was going to cancel my order unless there was something we could do to speed up the process. she says she can't expedite the order, and she could ASK for the cancellation of my order, but if it has shipped, that there is nothing she can do.
thoughts that went through my head--->(again with computers now, your telling me you don't know if it has shipped? but what about the dates that you have been drilling into my head? and another thing, you have to ask for the cancellation of the order? WTF? and what about all the crap i had to go through before i talked to you?) so by this point i couldn't take anymore, i told her to cancel the order and this is the first and last time that i would do business with them!
I will post again to let you know if my order was canceled and how long it takes for me to get my money back!
