I have had shifts canceled due to a background check, I've been working with Instawork since 2019. And the current company that I had shifts canceled, by Instawork not company, I've been working with for 3 years now. The fact that Instawork did not inform me via app or email saying they are doing background checks has me frustrated and angry. It's a violation of my rights to not be informed ahead of time or give consent, no paperwork was signed. They claim they have it on the website, but you have to look for it. Just because we use the app doesn't mean we can be treated this way
