I was surprised a few minutes ago to come across this site and to see the complaints about iHeartDogs. I see that some of the reviews date back eight years, so that should be taken into consideration as one reads the comments. That positive comments are sparce is not surprising considering the website is a complaints board.
However, I felt compelled to share my very positive view of this company. I have ordered from them for years. Almost every day now I play an on-line game (Word Wipe) because each game played feeds a hungry dog. I am a member of the VIP Club, which means I give $4.95 each month to help feed hungry dogs. Sometimes I buy items primarily to help the dogs. I've never even thought about criticizing any of their products.
At one point I received a hand-written notecard from someone in the company thanking me for all the purchases I had made. I also received a personal email thanking me:
"iHeartDogs.com
Hey Carla,
I was just glancing at our system, and I saw you’ve placed 70 orders with us! Thank you so much for your support, you’ve helped so many dogs!
If there is ever anything I can do for you, please feel free to reach out personally to me. Also, I wanted to pass along this awesome story showing one of the dog's you helped!
Sincerely,
Catherine Bair
iHeartDogs VP of Operations"
iHeartDogs.comCustomers receive periodic "Hero Reports" showing how many meals for dogs they have provided, how many toys donated to shelter dogs, etc. One way to see dogs being fed is to buy a Stra bracelet and see the videos of dogs at the feeders (https://iheartdogs.com/stra-ending-hunger-among-street-dogs/).
I have more dog T shirts and jewelry than I should ever have gotten. Probably my friends and relatives would rather get gifts besides dog dish towels, dog ornaments, etc.
One day I had on a hooded sweatshirt that had pictures of my granddaughter and someone asked me where I got it. Since I get so much from iHeartDogs, I responded "iHeart Dogs" instead of the photo company. Oh, well, I'll keep advertising for iHeartDogs anyway.
Let me end with a negative comment (aka a needs improvement statement) just to let you know that I give honest feedback. The only difficulty I have with iHeartDogs is navigating their website. Pages are slow to load. If customers thoroughly go through the items for sale, they will encounter different prices for the same item (not just a matter of discount prices for VIP Club). Perhaps they need additional help with their website.
At one point in the past I had a problem related to having two accounts registered with iHeartDogs. Someone with iHeartDogs took care of that easily and quickly for me. Another time I had ordered a new T shirt that had the names of my dogs on it. The first round of creating those new T shirts had the print for the dogs' names too small. Without having to say anything to the company, they realized the problem and redesigned the lettering and sent new T shirts to their customers.
In summary, iHeartDogs is a terrific company to do business with, because they support feeding dogs, transporting them to safety and to places where they can be more easily adopted, etc. They show genuine gratitude for customers helping in their endeavors.
Recommendation: Support this company by buying products dog-lovers treasure, knowing that great efforts are being made to take care of dogs around the world.
