IFB takes money for AMC but provides no service

My complaint pertains to IFB Elite fully automatic washing machine bought in August 2006. Last year the washing machine was under Annual maintenance contract (AMC).

In May 2009, I faced a problem “Water would not drain out completely from machine after the washing cycle and some foul smell like wires burning came from the machine”.

As we registered a complaint with IFB, a technician came to check but declared that the machine was in perfect shape. His verdict was – no repairs needed, just keep using the machine. AMC was valid at that time. HOwever now IFB states that repairs were needed at that time.

So we kept using the machine with water not draining by itself – as told by IFB technician. Over the period the washing quality came down badly. Suspecting that there could be some fault with the machine (despite IFB’s verdict that machine was perfectly fine), I registered a fresh complaint for the same problem in April and May 2010.

The machine is not under AMC currently and IFB wants us to pay for the repair charges.

We assert that it is IFB’s negligence that they did not identify the problem when complaint was registered last year. If they did not carry out the repair work under AMC last year, then they should do it now – free of charge.

IFB accepts that the machine needed repairs in May 2009 itself but are not ready to own up the responsibility and get the machine repaired on their account now.

Help us by highlighting the matter. This is unfair for the company to shrug responsibility for their negligence even if its an year old matter. We paid for AMC but what was the use of getting the repair work done from company when they provide such negligent services and do not even bother to own up their mistakes and make them good.

As a consumer, we would highly appreciate your help in this matter. Its time when we moved against unscrupulous companies collectively and ensured that they do not cheat the consumer any further.

IFB Washing Machine

Respected Madam/Sir,
We have purchased a IFB washing machine MODEL NO.7233 from Bhatia Electronic Lab, Rohtak(haryana) on march 2, 2009, invoice no. is 3793.But to our great disappointment it did not meet our expectations as it was found defective.We have been calling up the respective company but till date no action has been taken.

We have already registered our complaint regarding the IFB washing machine.On may18, 2009 an engineer had arrived but the repair done was not satisfactory.The parts are not fully replaced and the replaced parts are not original.We are really fed up of complaining again and again.As from nearly last two and a half months we have been continuously complaining and till date no strict attention has been paid to this, we DONOT want to get the machine repaired.EITHER exchange the piece or we request the company to return the money paid by us to the company.


The motor of the machine has stopped working. How Pathetic!

We really need the peice to be replaced now as it has completely stopped working now.No buttons on the machine are working and we are really fed up of the IFB service.

All fake promises these people make.

vulgar msg

i m getting very baddd vulgar and non veg msg...from rediff bol msenger daily...the sender no.comes like 57333..after that i get a called from the mobile no.[protected]. who dont listen starts with continusly bad words as chanting like mantra..and then when i called he hang up the call..plz take the action on this cell no.owner and also the rediffbol hapen as as soon a i get two msg from the rediff bol...i get phone from this no...immediately ...

plz take action on thsi or block this id and that this person wont do it again


Replacement of washing machine{AW7233}

I am Hina Tejwani from East of kailash, New Delhi.This is to inform you that i had bought a IFB washing machine model no.AW7233 from Unique Electronics, central market just four months back on 29 January 2010. I have launched complaints regarding this machine to the customer care almost every month .My customer ID is 2199539 and my complaint no. are 4206810.{near by 28 Feb 2010, 4354228 {last week of March 2010}, and now latest is 4427303 on 25 April 2010.Every time the PCB part is not performing .I had a talk with the service provider named Mr.Gaurav no.{[protected]} also he behaves rudely on the phone and i feel he must learn first how to talk to the customers .
. This is my humble request to IFB company that instead of mending the machine please consider this case to replace this time for customer's well being.

We bought an IFB washing machine( Senator DX, customer ID- 2140130) on DECEMBER 2009...over a month of time it got repair...i have made all most 6 complaints calls..its just a 3 months old machine, service people came and changed the motor and interface PCP board, like a trial and error, they does not know the exact problem in the machine and solution for it..even after changing still its in problem...after changing the motor and pcp board, i have made 2 complaint calls for replacement, still their are not ready to take the replacement complaint into action.. we bought it for 24, 890, we have not used it even for a month...we are requesting for replacement but they reply too harsh in customer care ([protected])...we struggled and got a contact number for replacement department ([protected]/12/13), but no one is attending the call for service.

onoff switch damaged due to heating

I have registered a complaint on 9th march to the company .

Our complaint was forwarded to Mr. K.P. Aggarwal who told that the switch required to replace the damaged switch for our model is not available with them.We have purchased the IFB dishwasher in the year 2002, Model-"Classic".
The onoff switch is damaged due to heating and now we are not able to get it replaced since it is not available in the company itself.There has been no further action taken by the company to solve our problem.
kindly look into our matter and provide the required part to be replaced.

    my dishwasher is not working and i have made 80 calls to the service centre in faridabad since the past 15 days and they are not repairing the same and giving me some excuse everyday.the dishwasher is under warranty.please look into the matter and revert soon

    My Dish washer was working perfectly alright till a few days ago when it started making loud abnormal sounds all towards the end.Company service people attended twice, but were unable to recrtify the problem.Kindly advice.

Pathetic Service

This is with reference to complaint 3583867 raised in the month of end October 2009. My washing machine developed a snag in the month of October (when my machine was under warranty), I raised a complaint and one of your service executives came and fixed the problem saying everything else was OK with the machine, 2 weeks down the line, the machine stopped working with the same fault (when the machine was not under warranty), when we registered the complaint again, an executive who attended said that we had to change the Front load and front ring. I raised this as a complaint then querying how come this was not identified when the machine failed with the same problem two weeks ago, he was not able to give me a satisfactory response. There were some discussions on who will be bearing the cost of replacing the spare parts. I have tried in vain to gain the attention of your service executives for numerous days after this incident. After being completely frustrated with service, I decided to call up the customer care (??) executives again requesting them to first attend the problem with me paying for the spare parts (This happend in December 2009) but Alas! This too has fallen on dead ears!! I have been calling up without fail to Saravanan (ph no: [protected]), I am told he is the supervisor and he has not yet resolved the problem. I have bene given the reason of delay is the out of stock of one of the spare parts!! How can this be the case? Do you really care for your customers??? I have been kept waiting for 4 months, spent numerous time and money on useless calls to your customer care executives (Saravanan) and everytime I am been given false and fake promises of the problem being resolved within a weeks time, but to no avail. The last conversation I had with him was on 27 Feb 2010, when he promised to sort everything out by 12 March 2010, but I haven't heard from him since then.

We chose IFB because you were the leader in the brand of washing machines, I am now made to think that this was the biggest mistake from my side. Don't you manufacture spare parts? Are you planning to closedown?? Is the company bankrupt? I have advised all of my friends and relatives to keep away from IFB products, because the service is pathetic and any complaints always fall on deaf ears. Is there anyway out?

machine not working

i had registered a complaint regarding non working of my machine in oct 2009.the machine was under warranty the technician put the blame on voltage fluctuation and made me purchase a voltage cut off .now on feb 15 2010 the same complaint repeated and the technician places the blame on the mother board.the company has agreed to replace but till today 13/3/2010 the machine is underrepair .this is the reputation of customer satisfaction of ifb indusrties/congatulations to the bosses of ifb .

    Iam srinivasan I brought a washing machine on 8/07/07 model executive plus seriol no WTEX+B 141959 In warrent period i called the service engineer Mr.Sherif (9841749626) for service for several times but no responce from him. Past one month my machine have some problem 1) water fill in to the drum even the machine in swith off 2) It wont take the detergent powder, after this problem I call several times so please action agints this camplint.     I had purchased an IFB Senator DX 6Kg from M/s. George Enterprises on 09/04/2011.

    While i had purchased the machine, the cost of the machine is very high compared to other compitetor brands. Even though i had decided to purchase because of brand name, quality and the service.

    From 26/08/2011 the machine was not working. I had informed the customer care on 27/08/2011 (the complaint no. 7034050). Till one week from the date of complaint registration nobody had responded.

    Then i had visited George Enterprises and said about the complaint. They had given a number to contact for service, the number is 9381079435.

    i had contacted the number, Mr.kamal had attended the number and we had said the problem to him. He said he will clear the complaint.

    Next day morning he had send a person, he said that the board is complaint and he replaced the board then also the machine didn't worked. Then i had dialed several times to Mr.kamal he didn't pick the phone.

    After that i had went to george enterprises regarding the complaint. he gave another number 9381146937.

    i had contacted the number Mr.Jeguvaran had attended the phone and he said he will clear the complaint.

    Next day morning he send a person to check the problem, he also said that the board is complaint and he went back.

    From that day till now nobody had responded the problem.

    Because of above these problems. Daily we need to go laundry, Expenses become very huge and mental stress is happening.

    Now we are thinking why we had purchased this machine.

    I am also an electrical dealer and doing small appliances. Nobody had stand in front of me regarding late service.

    we think we shall go legally if you can't service the machine.

Urgent complaint against IFB Microwave

I bought IFB’s MicroWave Model No. 30SC2 on 23.08.09 from Ashoka
Trading Co., Shop No. 46-47, Sector-16 Market, Faridabad-121002, But
from last month(Oct 09) this Microwave is not working properly, from
20.10.09 to till 10.11.09 I tried many times to call their Authorised
service person PRADEEP SINGH RWAT, his mobil No. is [protected]
(Ref.given by the dealer initially), on every call he gave commit me to
come, but he didn’t come .
Finally I called to IFB service center on 15.11.09 and post a request
regarding the same, my request number is 3746177, they told me that
within 24 hours their engineer will call you up and fix up the meeting
to come but he didn’t called up. On 23.11.09. IFB person ( Naval
Kishore) come to just checked the microwave. He said that he has to
replace a part in Microwave, which he will be available tomorrow. So he
will come tomorrow for part replacement but he didn’t come next day.
Finally, he came on 25.11.09 and unscrewed the whole microwave and
finally got to know that he brought wrong parts. Again he said that
he’ll come tomorrow with right parts and he came on 26.11.09 after
spending 2 hours he could not make it repaired. He didn’t gave me any
receipt or any document which I can be carry as a proof for future. My
Microwave is still not working. He was not acting like a professional.
That’s why when he came next day to repair again I didn’t allow him to
open it.

All this process was very pathetic and painful. I spent a lot of time
and money to call them to resolve this matter.

Kindly take necessary action to resolve this matter.

water leaking from bottom

The digital board of our washing machine has expired...we gave a complaint to our near by service centre but there is no response from them...It's 3 months to go since we gave them a complaint but whenever we call them they are not giving a satisfactory reply to us...There is no good response even for the AMC that we had applied...

Complaint from purchase

Dear Sir,

We have purchased a Senorita DX 5.5 Kg Washing Machine-Sr.No 09011iw030316 from alka auto associates, Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, India.

Its Bill Book No-14 Sl.No.684 Dated 19.09.09.

We have faced following problems from the date of installation.

1. Transit bolts found damaged and was reported to the dealer but the service engineer said nothing to worry about it.

2. Machine was commissioned and after a week, balancing weight arrangement was broken and later reported to service engineerand customer care.

3.Service engineer replaced the wash tub with new balancing weight.

4.On 20Th january, 2010, ceramic collar in the door arrangement was broken and later reported to IFB customer care.

5. Engineer replaced the damaged parts on 23rd january 2010 and till date trial run and operation not shown to us by your service engineer.

6. Over telephone he told us to operate the machine but machine is continously malfunctioning with noise and abnormal vibration and not completing its cycle.

As we both spouses are working we are in great trouble in washing the clothes in winter season.moreover we are unhappy to inform you that we are not satisfied with the quality of the product, service and reliability of the machine.

It is unbelievable that the machine is out of order within 3 Months from the date of purchase.

We request you to kindly replace the faulty washing machine with a new machine immediately.

IFB washing machine with motor problum

I ma having a IFB Executive Elite. I had aproblum with my machine and i raised a complaint on sunday(29-Nov-2009). People came and found that there is a problum in the motor and said it needs to be replaced. Till today no one is attending. When i call back to the customer care they give us some contact number and ask to contact them. I had even contatcted the branch manager. They are keepon telling me that the stock is not there and it will arrive today or tomorrow from past one week.

Machine always giving problems..

HI! I had bought the IFB Senorita DX 5.5 kg model in Chennai Tamil Nadu, with confidence that IFB manufactures the best washing machines for which people have no complain for years together. But I'm really disspointed as its not been 1 year up also and I've had a problem with the working of the machine every month till date.

I really want the company to take back this defective peice and return me my money.

Another complaint is that the dealer from whom i purchased it, IFB Point, at the time of purchase had promised that we will recieve a 700RS. free kit from the company directly which even after me making several calls to the call center and the dealer i have still not recieved it till date.

Microwave not Heating - Complaint unattended & unfixed since 15 days

My IFB/17PM-MEC1 is not heating since 18-Oct-09. I reported a complaint on 20-Oct-09 at the IFB Call Centre with the complaint no. 3645424. Mechanic turned up after 96 hours and did nothing. But without informing me, he closed the complaint. I had to raise a new complaint on 31-Oct-09 as 3693112 with a promise from call centre for a sure service by 48hours. But even after 5 days nobody turned up. Whenever called up call centre, they are showing branch, Branch is showing service centre and Service centre is not picking up the phone. I am shattered with this kind of horrible and awful service from IFB. Who will pay for the time I wasted, hazards I faced for the duration I could not use the appliance and the amount of money I had to pay for my phone calls. Can IFB give a proper service NOW?

Dealy in deivery of order number 8212 and very poor response from Jagat Chand and Milind Chandola who is looking after the delhi Customer

I have ordered a revolving glass plate and plastic rng of Micro Wave in India on 13th Oct'2009. I have not received it till know. Everytime while calling to customer care i am not receving the satishfactory reply from there end. Customer care has provided me the 2 monbile numbers of individual who is taking care of IFB product in delhi. Jagat chand is the name of the first person with mobile number [protected], he is making me fool everytime i am calling on his number that it wil lreach within a day or 2. Second number is of Milind Chandola who is branch head and his number is [protected], that person is not picking the call. These showes that 2 guys are least bother about the customer.If you cannot provide services to customer then why are you making such products.If i would have come to know about such services then i have not purchased it.Can anybody if possible look into the matter and provide solution to me.This is mental harrasement which these 2 guys have done.Will wait for your reply

Water flows from Detergent Dispenser Tray

Technician came and changed the drum but it was not done properly as there is gap between drum and the door. Due to his negligence the cloth getting through the gap got struck in the water outlet leading the water to overflow through detergent dispenser tray. (This was done on 2nd July 09.) We register a new complaint on 20th Oct09vide
ticket no.3647926 and the same is not sorted till date. We spoke to your Kannan/Swapna/Manikandan/Karthik but they simply give reasons for not attending. We are terribly upset about your service and response. If my complaint is not attended on time I am going to Consumer Fourm and drag you to court for deficiency of service and take this matter to press as well. Iam an AMC customer and my ID is
