To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to formally report a significant issue with Hughes Federal Credit Union’s remote deposit system, as well as the unsatisfactory customer service I received while attempting to resolve the matter.
I deposited a check through the remote deposit feature, and for an entire week the system displayed each processing step, with the final status showing “Delivered.” Despite this, the funds never posted to my account. This indicates a failure within the remote deposit processing system, not an error on my part.
When I contacted customer service, the agent informed me that the delay was due to the check being “too small,” despite the amount being $2,400.00, which is well within normal deposit parameters. This explanation was both inaccurate and dismissive.
I then requested to speak with a supervisor. Throughout the conversation, the supervisor repeatedly interrupted me and asked, “How can I help?” while I was already explaining the issue. After approximately 45 minutes of being on hold and attempting to resolve the matter, I was ultimately told that I would need to visit a branch in person—despite having already completed the remote deposit and followed all required steps.
This experience reflects a failure in both the remote deposit system and the customer service process. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed, that the deposit be properly processed, and that any delays or negative impacts resulting from this issue be addressed accordingly.
