I used to be a really appreciative customer, as my last laptop and printer were both from HP and worked great. I had my laptop for six years, and would still use it if the keys hadn't broken off.
Boy have I been surprised with my new HP Omnibook x Flip Laptop AI. While the A| and ability to flip has been nice, there have been so many issues. First, I guess due to the AI the system is constantly doing updates and glitching.
Second, it is much slower than my last laptop, the HP envy. Like noticeably slower, I am often ahead of it and it's still trying to catch up. I never have issues with my other devices.
The power cord has been horrific. It's a super cheap, weird material that looks like it's made from recycled garbage. It was all kinked up out of the box, and now it's not charging half the time. It's also a situation where the charger itself gets really heated. I don't trust the power cord to leave in because of this.
So, I contacted HP customer service to discuss my warranty. Horrific customer service, AI agent on the phone and the app but then I have to connect with a person to get anything done. Again, connected back with AI even though I was promised I'd be where I left off. My first and second live person both transferred me to the wrong person, so I resolved to the app. My experience there was awful. I was on wait for 30 minutes because the agent was working multiple problems at the same time. Which makes no sense really.
So, after 30 minutes I'm told I can pay 83 dollars for a new battery, it is not covered by the warranty because it's considered normal wear and tear beyond 14 days. So a big F U to the company for this. I even mentioned the cord being all kinked up multiple times when I unpacked it, but nope. And yeah, I'm not gonna give this company another penny.
Recommendation: The HP Envy was a great laptop. Avoid this company with further purchases.
