Ej använd hotelbokning
den 22 juni 2020 gjorde jag en bokning på hotel Colon Rambla, Tenerife, på vad jag trodde var deras hemsida. Ett dubbelrum för två den 25 -29 juni 2020.
Hotellet skulle just öppna efter den totala "lock down" på grund av Corona.
Samma dag såg jag att viruset tagit ny fart på Tenerife och ringde därför direkt till hotellet för att avboka. De hade inte fått någon reservation men bedyrade att de inte skulle debitera oss.
En månad senare får jag fakturan på mitt Eurocard och ser att mitt kort belastats med 416, 15 Euro Gar*hotel Res.
Ringer hotellet igen de har aldrig fått nån bokning och inte heller debiterat mitt kort.
Försöker maila Guest reservation, [protected]@hotelvalues.com .får hela tiden felmeddelande. Kan ni hjälpa mig? för mig är det en stor summa pengar.

I was told the room I booked in San Antonio at the Durry Hotel was refundable but they immediately charged my card and now I can't reach them. I canceled the room Reservations moments after I made it because it was for the wrong dates. I was emailed saying it was canceled but my card was still charged. I will dispute this charge with my bank.

Unethical behavior / excessive credit card charges
I was attempting to book 2 rooms, online, at the Hampton Inn in Rockport Texas. I typed in Hampton Inn, Rockport Texas, and was directed to, what I thought was the official Hampton Inn website. The quote on the two rooms for July 16th - 19th 2020 was reasonable. I then secured the two rooms using a credit card. The cost of the two rooms was $1, 097.82 plus Tax. When I received my confirmation number (R2041767379) I noticed an additional charge of $450.04 for Tax Recovery & Service Charge. When I arrived at Rockport I asked the Hampton Inn Manager about the excessive tax and was told since I booked through a third party they could not verify what the $450.04 charge was for. They did say Rockport Tax was 15% ($164.67) not $450.04. I should have been charged, including tax $1262.50, I was charged $1547.86. Hotel values took $285.38. Remember, I thought this was the Hampton Inn official web site. I have since determined hotelvalues.com is actually getaroom.com. This activity should be illegal!
On Aug. 17, 2022, I went online to reserve a room at the Holiday Inn Express, Windsor Locks, Conn. I thought I was dealing directly with the hotel. The rate was $131.47 with an additional $55.58 in "tax recovery charges & service fees." I waited until I was at the hotel before inquiring about the service fees. The manager told me that, since I had booked with a third party, getaroom.com, I would have to inquire with them. That was the first time I realized I had booked with someone other than Holiday Inn. Also, Holiday Inn wouldn't or couldn't apply any discounts and, for the first time in my experience, a hotel (Holiday Inn) refused to give me a receipt at checkout for the same reason: they said I would have to get it from getaroom, which I later found out to be hotelvalues.com.
I calculated that Hotelvalues scammed me out of at least $36 for a one-night stay, more if I consider Holiday Inn's discount for veterans, a discount not available at Hotelvalues. Also for the first time in my experience, the charges on my credit card were pending for a week before Hotelvalues finally charged me the full amount.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE! Just call the hotel you want to book through.
I “thought” I was booking through Homewood Suites by Hilton, but somehow got directed to this site. Through my phone, I booked a room for one night and received a reservation number. 10 minutes later when I arrived at the hotel, they had only one room left, which was a Queen Suite with Disabled accommodations, located by the exit door on the ground floor. There was a reservation for the room by someone else, so this outfit had to know that! Because I had prepaid, I got the room over the poor soul that had not prepaid for his/her room.
My understanding was the room was $177. Plus taxes, etc. When I checked out I was given a receipt for $199.32 and then I learned later, the hotel is not suppose to give you a receipt because “it shows what the third-party paid for the room”. I didn’t know there was a third party?! When I looked at my credit card charges, I saw the amount charged was $287.96.
I called the hotel and found they weren’t the ones doing the billing, it was the “third party”, THIS COMPANY. Called the number on my credit card and was told the difference was in the cost of the “Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees.” Which amounted to $78.96. I would never have paid $287.96 for one night’s stay in a 3-star hotel, in Ontario, California!

This site is awful. They are dishonest, I booked a nonrefundable hotel room for a higher price than the actual Hilton Garden Inn price. I, like another complainant, thought I was booking on the Hilton web site. We booked a room for two nights. The "tax recovery charge" was $286. Much more than the cost of the room itself. Keep away from these thieves.

The same thing happened to me, this website is a complete scam!
compete fraud site...be very careful.. it appeared as though i was booking straight with Hampton INn, but was actually thru hotelvalue.com.. Hampton refused my reservation.. and was impossible to even get refunded. stay away!
This is a RIP OFF SITE! I booked a hotel, Microtel, for $60, the bill with the fees came to $98+ I thought this was the Microtel site. No notice of extra fees or such. These people are THIEVES! Next post, to Facebook!
I to was ripped off by hotelvalues.com. A few minutes after I booked, I realized that they charged me an additional $68 to book the room. I immediately cancelled the room and they sent me a cancellation email. I had booked this 2 months before trip. I realized they had not refunded my money yet. I then looked at cancellation email and noticed that it said the "Cancelation Fee" was the amount that I paid for room. I am trying to contact them for refund, and no one will answer. They should not be allowed to do business. They are crooks

I was scammed by hotelvalues.com.
I thought I was on the best western site. Deceitful.
I agreed to pay $183. Then they charged me a $75 “service fee” to book online. Deceitful.
When I got to the hotel they informed me that this room was only $163. I paid $258 with hotelvalues.com!
A charge for $211.17 made for room service at Hyatt Hotels for December 12, 2023 and no evidence of payment to Hyatt account shown . Request full reimbursement.

I booked a one night stay in showboat in Atlantic City NJ on 9/18/23 but cancelled it with in one hour on booking.com and it clearly said free cancellation until 9/20/23 but still charged me $298.74. A bunch of crooks.
I made a reservation through this site yesterday June 19 2023 and was charged a rate far above the advertised rate. I immediately cancelled the reservation within the hour but till now I did not get any refund.

When I made this reservation I chose the free cancellation option. However, after I paid it stated that its nonrefundable. My receipt stated it’s refundable if canceled.
The incident happened on February 1 11:36am GMT+10. I called them to cancel several times and was told it was nonrefundable. The advertisement is deceitful.
