AVOID Home Warranty of America [HWA]
So, I have a Home Warranty with HWA. This warranty is next to useless and truly a disappointment. My refrigerator stopped working and they determined that replacement was the best option. They said they were "Pleased to receive the diagnosis" and provided the following:
We are offering funds - allowing you to choose a new system that best fits your preferences and needs. The funds are calculated based on your current system's features and capacity, ensuring you can select a system of comparable quality.
- GET THIS they offered $818.00. Try to buy ANY French Door Refrigerator for that amount.
I appealed this just to be told that this is the price that they offer for the size fridge I have and that they do not have to match dimensions, color or brand.
When I asked the agent (she said she was a manager) what is the point of an appeal if they can't adjust the amount. She said they review for mistakes, and this is what they offer. When I asked to talk to her boss, she said they don't talk to customers. Must be nice not to speak to customers and count the money.
I encouraged her to quit her job and find an employer that has ethics and honor and is not just trying to fleece customers!
Bottom line - AVOID Home Warranty of America [HWA]
