From start to finish, the whole HomeTech team were very professional and reliable. They have the best customer service from the office, the field rep, and the roofers. They definitely work in the 21st century with the way they can efficiently complete paperwork online. The Field Rep, Stephan Z is the absolute best. He patiently walked me through the process of what will happen to get my roof done. He knows roofs! Katie, who works in the office, is amazing. She's kind and professional. She is prompt in getting you the information you need. The roofers arrived on time and got busy as soon as they came. They also know roofs. Mine was in bad shape and I didn't know it. Stephan will make sure you get pics of your roof to show the damage if there is more under those shingles. The roofers did an awesome job cleaning up after the work was finished. Thank you, gentlemen. My yard looked cleaner than when you arrived. You can trust HomeTech. Honestly! If you think *** had good customer service, check out the employees at HomeTech. On April 15, an inspector named Nadir A visited my house to fix and set up a small part of the siding. He let me know that the siding (made of aluminum) was no longer available to match the undamaged siding. He informed me that he would reach out to my insurance company to provide evidence that the siding was no longer obtainable and that we would need vinyl siding to replace the entire house. I wrote a check to Home Tech for a deposit, which would be subtracted from the cost of installing the vinyl siding. Unfortunately, my insurance company declined the request to replace the entire house with vinyl siding.

On May 18, the inspector sent me a text message stating that my $100 deposit would be mailed on that day. However, I have yet to receive my deposit, and the company has been unresponsive to my emails regarding the return of my $100 deposit.

Home Tech LLC is the worst! They're so difficult to deal with. They've treated me horribly. They even threatened my life! It's been a constant stream of disrespect and harassment, both over the phone and in person. They've been using profanity in their text messages and phone calls. The owner of the business gave me an estimate on June 22, but I didn't agree with it. He then demanded that I pay 33% of the total cost upfront, which is a whopping $3,283.47, whether I chose their company or not. The total charge for the roof replacement, including all rotted plywood, was $9,949.92, with no extra cost to me. They started the work after I paid a down payment of $4,000.00. They claimed to have finished the job, but they didn't complete the roof on my backyard shed, and there are gaps between the roof sheet and drip edge line on the house roof. I told them about these issues, but they still haven't fixed them. This means birds and wasps can easily get in and build nests. Now, after leaving the job unfinished, Home Tech is sending me a bill for a total of $8,796.20, which is the full amount of $12,796.20, without any explanation for the price increase. On January 2, I received a check payment from my insurance company in the mail. However, all the banks were closed due to the holidays, so the check hadn't cleared yet. Despite this, the owner of Home Tech kept calling me every day, yelling, screaming, and using foul language, including the "F" and "MTF" words. And to top it off, he would send me text messages with the same profanity. I called my insurance company to explain the situation, and the representative I spoke with said that he had been giving her the same attitude and asking for higher prices than usual. She advised me not to answer his calls until the check cleared.

HomeTech, LLC replaced our roof in 2014, which had a little portico flat roof with a balcony railing. This complaint is 'bout the warranty claim we made in Sep 2020. In September , we noticed a water leak on one side of the portico flat roof and down the right column. We reached out to HomeTech and made a warranty claim to fix the leak. They said it was okay and started the process. Here's what happened over 'bout 3-4 months, from 09 – 01: 1. A roofer subcontractor came and took out the original posts and railing, and removed the torch down flat roof. Then, they replaced the rotten plywood on the right side and put in a 1.5 mm EPDM membrane. 2. Another crew came and put in the new railing. They didn't measure or cut it to fit the current size. The railing is all crooked on every side and 8" taller and wider than the original. 3. Shortly after, we noticed the portico flat roof sagging on that same rotten side. It happened 'cause there was still rotten material inside and the workers put weight on the flat roof. 4. We got some pictures that show the flat roof sinking after the workers put in the EPDM and railing. We sent those pictures to the HomeTech manager with an explanation of the problem. 5. We even had a meeting with HomeTech at our home to talk 'bout what to do next. 6. Since then, they came a couple of times, looked at the problem, bent some portico soffit, and left without fixing anything. We have a video of that too. On 01/13, we got an email from HomeTech saying they won't fix the sagging flat roof and railing 'cause they suddenly realized they shouldn't have authorized the repairs. But their manager, Ashley T, was the one who spoke for HomeTech 'bout the warranty on the flat porch roof. She said it was okay and authorized the repairs. Based on that, HomeTech started working on the flat porch and railing, but they messed up and caused more damage to the roof and installed the new railing wrong. 'Cause of their sloppy work, we had to hire another contractor to fix the damage HomeTech caused. We replied to that email on 1/24 and gave 'em an invoice/estimate for the fix. But we haven't heard back from the company. We want HomeTech to pay us back for what we had to pay the other contractor to fix their mess. Just so you know, HomeTech's insurance policy they showed us when we signed the contract ain't active no more. They didn't give us an updated policy before they started working on our flat roof.
