I bought a door from High Tech Pet Products, Inc. and it stopped working after only 5 months. I tried calling customer service during business hours, but they didn't pick up and sent me to voicemail. The app that comes with the door doesn't work either. It's a really expensive door that doesn't even work! I wouldn't recommend buying from this company.

Bad customer service. They say they make you happy, but Liz, the boss, takes forever to answer emails. I bought a big door in Aug/sept 2019, but it was out of stock. They said it would be 3 months, but nothing happened. I had to email and call to find out what was going on. Finally, I got it in Feb 2020, but it was broken! Now they want to charge me for sending it back! I won't buy from them again and you shouldn't either!

I called up the customer service to see if they could help me with the collar transmitter for my Power Pet door. I had sent an email months ago but didn't get any response. I told the lady that I had installed the door around seven years ago and have had to replace the sending unit many times since then. I have changed the batteries multiple times for each collar, but they still don't work properly. The sending units are very costly, and I have four dogs, so it's not affordable for me to keep replacing them at $49.99 per unit. I have spent hundreds of dollars on sending units over the years. The customer service lady told me about the one-year replacement warranty, but I had already told her that the system and the sending units were well over that age. She kept interrupting me and didn't let me finish my sentences. When I asked her to stop speaking and let me finish, she rudely informed me of their limited lifetime warranty replacement of the sending unit for half price. I also asked her if there was any improvement in the design of the sending unit, but she said it depended on the wear and tear the pet put on them. I mean, seriously, the dog wears the collar, eats, sleeps, poops, and goes in and out of the door. It's not like they are playing street hockey with the sending units. If I didn't have a hole cut in my home's wall, I would have thrown the door and all the sending units in the garbage. The email and phone customer service was terrible, and the sending units are too expensive. I would not recommend purchasing from them.

Bought a dog door from High Tech Pet Products, Inc. I'm disabled so I had to hire a contractor to install it. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. High tech products won't exchange it without me giving them a credit card. I don't think I should have to do that. Then I asked for a refund, but they refused. The dog door has not worked since the day it was installed.
