My mother made arrangements with Legacy Cremation Services to handle my father's cremation and obtain 6 copies of the death certificate. However, Legacy then subcontracted another funeral home to handle the pickup and cremation process. They collected my father's body from the ***, *** VA hospital, and my mother made a payment of $1,770 to Legacy on 3/23. Unfortunately, as of today (4/14), the funeral home has not received payment from Legacy. Consequently, they are unable to release my father's remains or the death certificate until payment is received. I have been trying to get an update on the payment status from Legacy, but they have been uncooperative and have not provided any information. It is crucial that the funeral home is paid promptly so that my father's remains can be released to our family.
