Haven Holidays review: Cleanliness of caravan

Upon arrival, we noticed a very strong odour of urine throughout the entire caravan but especially in the main bedroom. The carpet next to the double bed was wet and foul smelling and there were excrement stains on the carpet. Had we known about the 'squeaky clean guarantee' that haven offered, we would have put the complaint in immediately. I had to boil out the mop bucket from the kitchen cupboard that had stale foul smelling urine in. I used 4 kettle fills of boiling water and a large bottle of disinfectant to mop the entire lounge, kitchen and hall area which was sticky with urine. Considering I am recovering from a stroke and my husband is recovering from a nervous breakdown and we had our autistic son with us, this was less than ideal. We have always booked with haven for many years with our other older children, have stayed in various caravans on different parks and they have always been pristine. This caravan however, was absolutely disgusting and very unpleasant to spend the holiday in.
