Hassett of Wantagh messed up my car repair and it's been a headache since [protected]. I've emailed the service manager a bunch of times but they haven't been much help. They asked me to get a quote from another place, which I did, but they still haven't done anything about it. It's frustrating.

Hassett of Wantagh I was so hyped when I reserved the new **** bronco in 2020

I was so hyped when I reserved the new *** bronco in 2020. I was one of the first to order the first edition 2 door bronco straight from ***. I did all the paperwork and put down a deposit. Hassett was the closest dealership to my zip code, so they got my order. I kept in touch with *** the whole time. After a year of waiting, *** finally built my ride. The factory and the dealership both let me know that the car would be delivered in mid-October. I tried to reach ***, but he was on vacay. He said he'd call me when the car arrived. A whole month went by, and he still said the car wasn't there. I did some digging and found out that the car had actually been delivered and sold to someone else. I emailed *** again, and he said I didn't really have an order. That's a joke because I have paperwork from *** and Hassett that proves I did. I'm taking legal action against this dealership because bronco first editions are worth a lot of dough. They sold my car without my permission, and that's not cool.

Hassett of Wantagh I traded in my 2020 Outback for a 2022 Touring model at Hassett of Wantagh

I traded in my 2020 Outback for a 2022 Touring model at Hassett of Wantagh. The salesman told me the car would arrive on January 12th from ***, but it actually came in on the 19th. I also found out that Outbacks in *** are made in America. When I picked up the car on January 22nd, I noticed a braking problem after driving only a mile. I called them a few days later and they made an appointment for me to bring it in. They claimed to have run some tests and bled the brakes, but I still had the same problem. I know what a brake problem is because I've worked on my own cars for years. I visited other dealers, but they wouldn't work on it and told me to bring it back to Hassett. They let me test drive another 2022 Outback, which had smooth brakes. I had to reschedule my appointment, but they told me it would be three weeks before they could see me. I paid $42,000 for this car, but they treat me like second class and question if I have remorse for buying it. The only remorse I have is for buying a car with a braking problem from the beginning and having to rely on their service.

Hassett of Wantagh I bought a NEW 2020 Subaru Impreza on 6/**/2020 from Hassett Subaru

I bought a NEW 2020 Subaru Impreza on 6//2020 from Hassett Subaru. We did everything over email/phone due to covid 19. Paul Storch was my salesman. We talked on the ***, and finalized on the ***. Paul said the car would be ready on the *** and I agreed. On the *** when I picked up the car, Paul and I saw some ants on the trunk and he swatted them off saying "must have been parked near some ants". I left with the car. The car had a sign that it was sterilized and clean. The car had a full tank of gas. I drove the car home, then on the *** I drove to work, and when driving home from work I noticed two spiders inside the car. I DO NOT like bugs, and I assumed this was from the sun roof. Later that night, I went in the car to try to clean or vacuum wherever the spider was and noticed some ants on the trunk of the car. I followed where the ants were coming from and opened the gas tank door and a nest of ants fell out of the door. There was larvae and hundreds of ants crawling out from the gas tank compartment and crawling all over the car. The ants were large in size, some had wings. I was absolutely mortified and disgusted. I called the dealership right away asking to return or exchange the car, I have a phobia of bugs. They told me it was against the law to return the car. My boyfriend and I brought the car back in on Saturday June *** since I was working the ***. Paul took the keys from me and drove it to the service area since I was uncomfortable driving it, my boyfriend drove it in initially. I spoke with Matt F the sales manager. He guaranteed me that they would clean and inspect the car. On Tuesday, the ***, Paul Storch calls me asking if I have the car keys. WHY WOULD I HAVE THE CAR KEYS IF THEY HAVE THE CAR. Later on, Matt called me back saying they found the key. That is ridiculous. How are you cleaning the car or moving the car around without the key, so to me, it seems like nothing was done. I arrived on Saturday the *** to pick up the car. I was told the car was fumigated and fully detailed and they found the nest on the outside of the car and got rid of them, there was nothing inside. I checked the car and didn't see any bugs, no spiders or ants, I opened the hood and the gas tank door and didn't see anything. When I asked Matt exactly what they did to the car he stated he didn't know. He said ants weren't inside the car and they found the "source" of ants. Matt stated for "goodwill" he gave me 2 years of free maintenance. I didn't feel that was satisfactory for my experience however I had no other options. I drove the car home. This morning, (6/) I saw about 10 or 11 ants on the hood and roof of the car. The same big ants that had wings on them. Now I have to go out of my way AGAIN, let them know that there are still ants on the car, give my car back to be detailed and cleaned AGAIN. I was SO EXCITED initially when I purchased this car, it was my first ever finance on a vehicle and NO ONE should go through this. We go to dealerships expecting the best from them. The fact that this is a BRAND NEW CAR and it has an infestation is ridiculous. It shouldn't have been rushed off the lot. I could have waited to pick up the car but they said we could pick it up the next day. They should have taken the time to clean and disinfect and make sure NOTHING was wrong with the car prior to me buying it. I am a nurse and I had to call out sick twice to deal with bugs in this car. We are PAYING for the best. We are PAYING for good service. How could you guarantee a car is clean and sterilized and miss an entire ant nest or farm or whatever it's called right in the door of the gas tank. I feel this is unacceptable. I gave them a chance to clean and fix the car but still found ants on the car. Now I don't trust the dealership and the "cleaning and detailing" they did. This is very stressful, especially in a time like this. I don't feel the car is safe nor sterile. I've had nothing but a terrible experience with my first car purchase.
