Stay away from this clown. He's nothing but a greedy, lying, manipulative weasel. In his TV ads, he portrays himself as an upstanding fair and honest Jewish businessman, but when you get in the store, he perpetuates virtually every negative Jewish stereotype there is from the last 2000 years. You would think that after his first store got firebombed he would change his business practices at his new location, by being fair, honest and treating customers with respect, but no, he puts bars on the windows and keeps the front door locked at all times and you have to go through a security guard posted outside first, before he'll even let you in. But if you seem to think you MUST go to him, don't take your eyes of your jewellery or Harold the Jew will do a sleight of hand and it will disappear into his pockets right before your eyes and you'll be lucky if he gives you $20 for it. Get it appraised at a real jewellery store first before you go trying to sell it to this guy. Better yet, take it to one of the other jewellery buyers in the area.

I went to see Harold with an heirloom necklace that I received from my grandmother as a wedding gift. It was very difficult for me to decide to sell this, and I was hoping to be treated fairly and with a modicum of respect. Instead, I entered Harold's "shop" which is mostly a room full of bars - not even a pawn shop, becasue there's nothing on display. Harold treated me like some drug addict off the street hoping to make a buck out of something I pick-pocketed. He offered my between $2000 and $4000 and demanded to know if I wanted to make a deal, and them proceeded to have a conversation with his co-workers in a different language while I stood thee and fumed. He finally got up to $5300 while throwing in some snide comments about my ridiculous expectations and the other people I got offers from were clearly all liars. When I wanted to leave, I had to ask for my necklace back five times before he finally handed it over, and then he wouldn't open the door for me to get out, though I was clearly upset. The man was a total jerk and was not going to offer my what my item was actually worth, only what little he thought he would get away with paying me.
It was a very uncomfortable experience, and I'll never go there again. If you need super quick cash for something and don't mind being treated like trash, then perhaps this is the place for you. But if you'd like to be treated with some respect, then DON'T GO HERE!
