My experience with GRT was extremely disappointing. They withdrew payments twice after I had rescheduled them, overdrawing my bank account and causing overdraft fees. Despite my requests, they would not reimburse the unauthorized withdrawals or the resulting fees.

After six months, I saw no meaningful progress on my account and ultimately canceled the program. I was repeatedly told they had power of attorney on file with my creditors, yet when I contacted those creditors, they said GRT had never contacted them.

Attempts to resolve these issues were met with incorrect information, a lack of urgency from supervisors, and no accountability. A program that was supposed to help me financially instead created additional financial stress.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend GRT. I was able to negotiate better settlement arrangements directly with creditors, and JG Wentworth helped me with the more difficult ones. I wish I had pursued those options before spending six months with GRT.
