I had a bit of a problem with GoFundMe after I closed my account. There was a summary that I wanted to get rid of, but I didn't know how to do it. So, I decided to call their customer service to see if they could help me out. I was pleasantly surprised when I got through to a representative named Kas in less than five minutes.

Kas was really friendly and professional. She listened to my problem and knew exactly what needed to be done. Even though I'm hard of hearing, she spoke clearly and made sure I understood everything she was saying. I could tell that she really cared about my issue and wanted to help me out.

I used to work in customer service, so I know how important it is to have the right kind of people representing your company. Kas is definitely one of those people. She did a great job for me and I think she deserves more than just a pat on the back.

If I were in charge of GoFundMe, I would give Kas a pay raise and maybe even a nice perk like a reserved parking space or an extra vacation day. She should also get a bonus and be considered for a promotion. I think she's a great person with a positive attitude and you should do everything you can to keep her happy.

Overall, I'm really happy with the service I received from GoFundMe. Kas was a great representative and I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs to raise money for a good cause. Thanks for giving me the chance to share my experience!

This GoFundMe thing is just ridiculous! I can't believe what they did to the "Freedom Convoy" funds that we all donated to. They just took it away from us, claiming that the convoy was bad news (which it wasn't, despite what some people say). If that's the reason why they did it, then why didn't they take away the "Black Lives Matter" funds too? Those people burned their own cities down, looted, caused riots, and attacked innocent people. If GoFundMe really doesn't like violence, then why didn't they shut down the BLM funds? Is it just because they don't like the Freedom Convoy? Those guys didn't do anything wrong, and you can find that out if you look it up. The Chief of Police in Ottawa even said so himself. And then they give us our money back AFTER they start an investigation? What kind of nonsense is that? I'm never using GoFundMe again, and I know a lot of other people who feel the same way. Way to go, GoFundMe, you just made 84% of Canadians mad at you.

I gotta say, I used this app to help out a young girl with some major medical bills. I couldn't pay it all off myself, but she was able to decide where the money was needed most at that time. And let me tell you, it made a huge difference. I also used it for a little kiddo who needed multiple surgeries and whose parents work extra hard just to keep up with the 24/7 care she needs. And then there was the person living far away from their family and dying from cancer. I don't even know how the money was spent, but I donated anonymously because I know the families and those affected.

I ain't a fan of those big charities where only a small percentage of your donation actually goes to the people who need it. With GoFundMe, you get to decide exactly who you're helping and how. You can help pay for medical bills, rent, groceries, or even just some little things that make life a little easier. It ain't like winning the lottery, but it's those little bits and pieces that fill the cracks and make a real difference.

And the best part? You can look local and find someone in your own community who needs help. Maybe it's a friend of a friend, or a family member of someone you know. You get to choose how much you give and whether or not you want to take credit for it. It's not about getting a tax write-off or anything like that. It's about doing the right thing and helping someone who needs it.

Now, I ain't gonna lie, there are some spelling and grammar errors on the site. But that's just because it's real people using it, not some fancy computer program. GoFundMe is a fundraising company that you might want to think twice about before using. As a newcomer to the fundraising world, I was not aware of the fees that they charge until after I had already set up my fundraiser. When I went to transfer the first donation of a little over $200 to my bank account, I was shocked to find out that they had taken over $50 in fees. This left me with no other option but to increase the amount I was asking for to $2500.

To make matters worse, I had some issues with my bank account and had to change the account linked to the fundraiser. I did this before the last donation came in, but they still sent the money to the old account. I had to wait for them to get it back and resend it to the new account. I had to call them multiple times to complain about this issue. Even though I was staring at the linked account, which was the new one I had initially changed to, they still managed to get it wrong. This was extremely frustrating as the money was meant to pay for my mother's cremation services at the funeral home.

It took over a week for me to finally receive the money, which caused a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety during an already difficult time. I will never use GoFundMe again and would advise others to be cautious when using their services. The fees are high and the customer service is lacking. It's important to do your research and read the fine print before using any fundraising company.

GoFundMe is a pretty good website for fundraising. They have really good customer service, which is something that I appreciate. They always respond really quickly, which is better than other websites I've used. But, the website itself could use some improvements. Right now, I'm running a campaign to raise money for someone who wants to start an animal rescue in a country where GoFundMe isn't available. This means that I can't add her as a beneficiary on the campaign, which is really frustrating. There are a few other things that I don't like about the website too. For example, the layout of the campaign page isn't very easy to understand. Also, the updates on the campaign aren't very clear, but they have important information for people who want to donate.

Another thing that I don't like is that you can't upload videos directly to GoFundMe. You have to host them on another website and then link to them on the GoFundMe page. It's also annoying that you can only upload three photos with each update.

GoFundMe really wants you to promote your campaign on social media, especially Facebook. But, when I share my campaign on Facebook, hardly anyone sees it. I think this is because of the Facebook algorithms, but GoFundMe should think about whether they should really be pushing Facebook so much. I haven't seen much benefit from sharing on Facebook.

Overall, I think GoFundMe is a good website for fundraising. They have great customer service, but the website itself could use some improvements.

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with GoFundMe. I mean, I put in all the necessary information and still can't withdraw my funds. It doesn't matter if you give a lot or a little, they just won't let you have your money. And to make matters worse, they keep asking for government ID, which is totally illegal in Canada. I mean, it's right there on the ID and passport: "NOT to be used as ID, property of Canadian government." The privacy act is clear on this, and yet they still insist on it. I even reported them to the RCMP fraud department, and they know about it. I'm not the first person to be scammed by them.

They keep saying it's their terms, but who cares? If the terms are illegal, that doesn't make them okay! And it seems like most people have negative experiences with them after 3 years ago. Don't bother trying to explain anything to them, they won't listen. I would avoid them at all costs. It's really messed up that they take advantage of people in need like this. I read somewhere that they invest the funds, which is why they keep you in a loop of "security verification." It's all just a bunch of bogus claims. If you have money in donations, I suggest asking them to send it back to you and having people send you money directly through PayPal or Facebook donations. I wish I had known that before.

We managed to tame and care for over 65 feral cats, and we were hoping to find them all loving homes one day. But unfortunately, that didn't happen. We couldn't form a nonprofit in our area, and we were denied financial help after treating over 125 animals on just one acre of land.

But even when things got tough, gofundme was there to help us out. They made it possible for us to keep paying for expensive vet bills, medications, and special food for our furry friends. And they did it all with a smile, offering great customer service every step of the way.

I never thought I would have to ask for money, but sometimes life throws you a curveball and you have to do what you have to do. I've always been the type to give back, whether it's through volunteering with the Red Cross or using my carpentry skills to help out a mission group. But when it came to asking for help, I found out who my true friends were.

As a Radiology Technologist, I spent most of my life on call and focused on my career. I didn't have many lasting friendships, and when I reached out to a Christian volunteer group I had worked with in Biloxi, Mississippi, I was disappointed to find that none of them responded. One person even blocked me on messenger, thinking I was going to ask for money.

But when it came to my daughter's page on GoFundMe, I was pleasantly surprised. Despite the fact that there are so many people out there who need help, we had over 2,000 visitors to her page and seven donations. It's heartwarming to see that there are still people out there who are willing to use their hard-earned money to help others.

I have to give credit where credit is due - GoFundMe was a huge help throughout this whole process. They were patient, understanding, and kind, even when I was feeling mistrustful and unsure. I'm happy to give them a well-deserved 5 stars.

This here group, GoFundMe, they seem like they're trying to do some good, you know? Helpin' folks raise money for all sorts of things. And that's all fine and dandy, until you start to see what's really goin' on behind the scenes. They say they're legit and transparent, but my experience says otherwise. They up and changed their website and formatting without any explanation, and it took me weeks to figure out why donor information wasn't available no more. They kept givin' me the runaround, sayin' they were workin' on it, but then they stopped answerin' altogether. Finally, they sent me an email sayin' that because of some new privacy law in Europe, they couldn't give me donor info no more. But that didn't make no sense, 'cause most of my donors were in the US and one was in Iceland. Why'd it take so long to get that answer? And why don't they have a customer service number to call? When I asked 'em to call me, they said they don't do that. That's just plain rude.

And then there's the lack of reports available. No donor list, no complete disbursement or withdrawal list. That's just shady, if you ask me. And they ask for tips from donors, but they don't even tell 'em where the money's goin'. That's just not right. I'm glad my fundraising campaign was successful, but it wasn't thanks to GoFundMe. And after they revamped their website without explanation, a lot of the functions disappeared or stopped workin'. They told me to use the app instead, but that's just a lousy explanation. I wouldn't recommend this site to nobody. There's plenty of others out there. Just be careful of any organization that won't talk to you straight.

I have some mixed feelings about gofundme. It's a new website for people to ask for money online. People create accounts for all sorts of things like hobbies, health, religion, memorials, and more. For the most part, it works like it's supposed to. People create their account, choose a valid reason, and let the funds start rolling in. If the funds max out at the goal amount, you get to keep all the money. Certain rules apply for less than that as dictated in their guidelines. If an account gets deemed unworthy, I'm not sure if the money goes back to the original donor or if the company keeps it. That's why it's good not to set your goal amount too high. You can always create another gofundme to continue the funds.

The negative side of it is that I've heard the company doesn't always allow individuals to keep 100% of the allocated funds. They can suspend accounts at a whim and compensate your funds earned at their disposal. They are allowed to keep a small percentage of your earned funds, but I've heard some stories of people being screwed over by this.

Another negative side of this is that not all people are honest. I used to volunteer, donate, tithe, and give to the needy, but after being scammed here and there, I have discontinued these actions. One rotten egg will ruin it all. Several rotten eggs will ruin it forever. I will never volunteer in society again unless it's judge ordered. (I'm a good rule follower citizen, so I don't see that happening at all.) Do research on people you give to so that you know you are not being scammed or taken advantage of.

Let me tell you a story about a coworker who was diagnosed with cancer. Bills piled up, and debt occurred due to it. He was unable to work due to cancer, and his gofundme account helped him pay off his bills. His mortgage on his house was heavily reduced due to extra income. This is all fine and dandy, and I support stuff like this. However, his gofundme account is still ongoing, and I know him personally. The side you don't know is that he was always poor but spending money like he's a rich person. As his gofundme account continues, he is getting money he never would dream of. He is doing projects and purchasing items his own salary would never support. Instead of setting it aside for the time frames he can't work, he is instead embezzling it on himself. Then he moans when it's all gone and allows his mood to affect the whole workplace when he shouldn't be at work.

We're starting to hear stories of thousands of dollars of shopping sprees on this and that.

We're being told stories of expensive home remodeling projects with expensive stuff.

We're being told stories of how he is able to buy that extra fancy thing his wife wanted that he was never able to buy.

We're being told stories of parties and gatherings (before covid) and seeing him purchase fancy fiddles on a limited income salary.

Get the picture? Be careful of who you give money to.

So, I was trying to help out a friend who needed some money for their pet's surgery. I thought GoFundMe would be a good option, but boy was I wrong. When I went to donate, I was hit with an "optional" tip that was actually mandatory - a whopping 15% of my donation! What kind of nonsense is that? It's so misleading and just plain wrong.

And to make matters worse, I've heard stories about how GoFundMe can be slow to give the person the money raised, and how they keep a portion of it for their own expenses. So, not only are they misleading donors, but they're also taking a cut of the money that's supposed to go to the person in need.

But now, they've found a new way to be even more sneaky - by holding the donor hostage to an additional 15% of what they donate. It's just not right. How can we trust anything about this process when they're being so shady from the get-go?

The only thing that's "optional" about the tip is that you can choose to give even more - up to 30%! That's just dirty. And unfortunately, it's the person in need who suffers because potential donors are turned off by this kind of behavior.

I, for one, will never use or donate via GoFundMe again. It's just not worth the risk of being scammed or misled.

We tried to get some cash for an old lady (she's 81, bless her heart) who's out of work and lost her crib 'cause of some bad luck. She was tryna go back to her home country (Russia) to be with her fam. But GoFundMe didn't let us do it. They sent us a message askin' if the money was gonna be sent to Russia or if it was just for travelin' there. Like, who are they to tell us what to do with our money? That's just not right, man! They already take a big chunk of every transaction, and now they wanna boss us around too? No way, Jose! I ain't a fan of GoFundMe and I ain't never gonna tell nobody to use their site!

I'm not happy with GoFundMe. I only gave them one star because I had to in order to write this review. I gave a lot of money, and so did a lot of other people, to an organization that was fighting for freedom in our country. But GoFundMe kept $9 million of the money because they believed false information that was spread by the mainstream media and other liberal opponents of the movement. This protest was peaceful and inspiring, and it's a shame that GoFundMe didn't see that. I'm really upset about this. GoFundMe doesn't seem to understand that the freedom movement is fighting for the freedoms that they don't even realize they've lost. Shame on you, GoFundMe. I'm sure that another platform will come along that's better than you. I'll never give money through GoFundMe again. The corruption is just too much.

We were amazed by the generosity of hundreds of people who donated over $100k to our cause. However, we have been facing some issues with the platform's customer support. We have been exchanging emails with them for two weeks now, but they have not released the funds to us yet. We are left with no other option but to wait for their response.

It is frustrating to see that critical assistance is being delayed due to the negligence or lack of consideration of the GoFundMe team. We understand that they are dealing with a high volume of requests, but we wish they could have been more responsive to our urgent needs. We have no way of contacting them through phone, and we have to rely on email exchanges, which can be slow and inefficient.

So, I set up a GoFundMe for a nurse friend of mine and it was a real pain in the butt. When I tried to hand the account over to her, it took her weeks to figure it out on her own. And let me tell you, there was no way to get support. We both ended up in a circular call tree for several minutes, but would never be able to speak to anyone. It was frustrating as heck!

But that's not even the worst part. I heard today that GFM wants to refund the donations for the Canadian Truckers or donate it to a cause they deem as more worthy, like BLM. What the heck? I'm out. I will NEVER donate to another cause on their platform or set up an account to help a friend. I've done it for several. From now on, I will use GiveSendGo. GFM can go to hell for all I care. This company is a total joke, and I would not recommend using it. My nephew was in an ATV accident that left him paralyzed, and we set up a GoFundMe page to help him get the equipment he needs to live a more comfortable life. However, GoFundMe is holding onto his funds and won't release them to us. We've tried uploading his bank information ten times now, but each time we get a different excuse as to why it won't work.

It's impossible to reach anyone at GoFundMe except through their website, and even then, they only reply when it's convenient for them. I'm extremely frustrated with this company and will never donate to another GoFundMe page again. Instead, I recommend setting up your own bank account with the beneficiary on a debit card. That way, there are no hoops to jump through, and no one can hold onto your money.

I believe that GoFundMe is a rip-off. They hold onto people's money for as long as possible so that they can earn interest on it. That's why there are so many complaints about them holding onto funds. If you don't believe me, just look at their rating on the Better Business Bureau - they're only rated 1 out of 5 stars.

Oh my gosh! I can't believe what I just saw on GoFundMe. They said they were collecting funds for the truckers convoy, but now they're saying that the convoy is violent and anti-Canadian. That's just not true! This convoy is all about social justice and fighting for our freedom from tyranny. It's a movement of the people, for the people!

But now GoFundMe has frozen the funds and is saying that they might give the money to "other charities". That's just not right! The money was supposed to go to the truckers, not some other cause. It's like they're trying to steal from us!

I'm so disappointed and angry. I don't think I'll ever use GoFundMe again. They've shown themselves to be untrustworthy and lacking in morals. It's like they're just a pawn of the government, doing their dirty work for them.

It's just shameful. We trusted GoFundMe to help us support causes we believe in, but now they've let us down. I hope they realize how wrong they are and do the right thing.

I had a really bad experience with GoFundMe. It was back in December 2022 when I made a donation to a GoFundMe page that was taken down within a week of it being posted. It was a real headache for me because I couldn't contact GoFundMe except by email, and my bank was charging me for the donation even though the page was taken down.

I know that GoFundMe is supposed to be a good website for raising money for a good cause, but my experience was terrible. They held onto my money and collected interest on it, and I had to go round and round with my bank to try to get it back.

I submitted documents to my bank, but they reversed the transaction and tried to give the money back to GoFundMe. It was a real mess, and I will never make any contributions to a website like this again.

It's really frustrating that GoFundMe doesn't have a better way to contact them. They take forever to respond to emails, and it's impossible to get any help from them. I think they're just trying to scam people out of their money, and it's really shameful.

I set up a fundraiser with go fund me to raise funds to help my family secure new housing after we lost our house and all possessions in a house fire on November 29th. We have raised alot of mo ey that I am trying to withdraw to be able to secure the new housing my family needs, so we can move out of the hotel we are staying in. I have sent all the verification go fund me has asked for and they approved my account to have the funds withdrawn to. Then several hours later the said they couldn't verify my bank account and that they needed a bank statement with the banks logo on it or to change the banking. I chose to change the bank information due to the original bank account being a brand new account and I didn't have any bank statements yet. So once I changed the bank information to my other account in once again said it went through, only to receive an email within an hour stating they needed more information and asked for a bank statement to be sent, which I did and then they said it was verified but because the amount of the withdrawal was a high amount that it would take them 1 to 3 business days to get processed. Then several hours later I get an email saying they couldn't verify the account and provide them with more information, but when I try to access the withdrawal page it won't let me enter any additional information. They keep coming up with a new excuse for why they won't release the funds. They have no way of contacting them except thru email, and I think this is on purpose because they don't want you to be able to speak to a live person. Can you please help resolve this as my family desperately needs this money to be able to recover from this tragedy.

On 5/13/2022 I filed a beneficiary claim on a gofundme fundraiser. This claim was started by a man ( stated himself as a public figure and someone that helps the community )for me and my kids. Since then this said man has tried to extort me to give sexual favors on return for the funds raised. He has been degrading and threatening us saying if I didnt give him what he wanted then I wouldnt get the money. The go fund me was made based off my childrens and I needs. I suffer from sever health issues. I filed the claim once this began with this man. I provided them (gofundme) screenshots of all messages, call recordings, police report I filed, etc. I did everything I could do on my end. I have been continuously told their still in correspondence with the organizer of the fund raiser and no additional information can be provided to me. ME! The one who was verbally abused and threatened and the beneficiary. The one whose story and information is on the front and center of this. I have repeatedly asked why I am not being given any information or updates. After all, it is my face and my kids as well as our personal information that is on this live page. Ive received death threats and all manners of stuff. Still to this day this man who has stalked me, showed up randomly to my home and tried extorting me is in charge of MY fundraiser and still is collecting donations on it with our personal information attached. There has been no empathy whatsoever from gofundme. Im a sick woman trying to raise kids and not lose all we love and just want to get the money that was donated to us off our story and life returned to us and this creepy stranger removed from our fundraiser. Why is that so much to ask for?

On February 24th, I created a fundraising campaign for my terminally ill sister. She has an aggressive cancer tumor - this means time is of the essence to make sure we can cover her living and medical expenses for the next approx. 6 to hopefully 12 months. A few days after I started my campaign, Go Fund Me sent me an email on Feb 26, to say my campaign was on hold until I follow their instruction to detail my campaign further. I did that. Then I got another email 2 days later asking for further verification, which I immediately provided. It's now been 5 business days and I have not received a reply to my inquiries as to why my campaign is still on hold, meaning I cannot withdraw the money I have raised since the initial withdrawals. I have not received any information as to why my campaign was put on hold, or what complaints have been filed. I have not seen the details requested of me noted on any other similar campaigns for cancer patients. My family lost one of our children on New Year's Day; 20 days later we learned my sister has this terminal cancer. There is nothing in my campaign that isn't the truth about the horrific circumstances we're dealing with in this. I am completely befuddled as to why my campaign has been treated in this manner. I reached out by email and on Twitter to no avail. I can tell you how disappointed and gutted I am, as is my family, that we are dealing with this nonsense on top of the stress of another dying family member. I will have to open a new campaign on another platform and hope that the momentum I had gained with the Go Fund Me account can be re-ignited. I organized a gofundme fundraiser for my friend, Hikari, who desperately needed some funds after her house in *** got damaged by a fire. After she accepted the invite to be a beneficiary, we found out that she is unable to use her bank account to transfer the donation money of $460, so we had been trying to revert withdrawal power to me, the organizer, so I can send the money to her in some other way. After multiple help support tickets sent to gofundme, they promised to reach back to us after 24 hours but it has already been two days and this problem has not been resolved. Me and Hikari as a last resort tried to delete her gofundme account as beneficiary, thinking maybe this will automatically revert withdrawal control to me, but it did not work, and the fundraiser bank transfer option is still stuck on the "not finished identification verification" phase, which again Hikari could not do due to her lack of proper bank account. There is no other option for us to fix this other than contact gofundme's help support, which never fixed the issue. We would like to just have bank transfer privilidges back to me, the organizer, so we can get Hikari the funds she desperately needs from the donations she received. I started a campaign with go fund me and I'm extreme angry and disappointed with their unprofessionalism and failure to communicate at the most basic levels. I was just notified today via email that the funds given to me by my friends and family were sent back including my donation it was 135 dollars total! The campaign goal was 3,500 dollars I gave 40 dollars my mother gave 70 dollar and my friend gave 25 dollars. My friends and family were shocked that go fund me did this as well as myself I'm angry about it. I attempted to contact go fund me and just received articles as a response,that failed to answer my specific concerns. One said something about a 90 day withdrawal of funds, there was no notice of this given at any point and time. Its quite interesting and it angers me that they can send an email to tell me that the donations were given back out, yet they couldn't, bother to alert me of any time limits on donations given or anything. I'm very angry because I rely on the kindness of others to help me accomplish my dreams and go fund me tore down a vi able situation for my success and I didn't have a chance to reach my goal! This campaign was recently created towards to end of November we are almost at the end of February ! I'm upset and angry about this and would like something to be done about the shady business practices of go fund me! The alleged reasons given in the articles the go fund me sent to me via email failed to answer my unique concerns! It listed thing like the donor stopping his or her own campaign which is beyond ridiculous because I'm trying to raise 3,500 dollars. It also mention something about security issues with the go fund me I know all my donors that doesn't apply to me either! So in conclusion something must be done about the shady business practices of go fund me!

I donated through GoFundMe in Aug 2018 and Aug 2019, and after that, I haven't logged in the account.On Jan 13, 2022, I received an email receipt at the amount of $172.50 from GoFundMe. It's said to be a donation to Memorials to ***, which I totally had no clue about. And I haven't logged in the account for years.On Jan 13, 2022, I took a couple of attempts to reset my password, but never received the email with the link to reset.As I haven't accessed the account for years, I didn't know which of my bank accounts have been charged. I was deeply concerned about my personal and bank information security.A bit later on Jan 13, 2022, after failure of resetting password, I sent a refund request.On Jan 14, 2022, GoFundMe responded, asking for confirmation on refund request. I replied and asked to reset password first.On Jan 16, 2022, GoFundMe sent me an email notification on refund. Upon receiving the refund confirmation, I emailed GoFundMe again, asking to reset my account.On Jan 18, 2022, GoFundMe *** team responded my email, stating that my "card information was not leaked through the GoFundMe platform." But the receipt is issued by GoFundMe. On Jan 19 and 24, 2022, I sent another two emails, asking for access to my account.On Jan 24, 2022, GoFundMe replied, stating that they are "not able to reset the password on the donor account for you, so we deactivated this account to allow you to sign up with a brand new account instead." It is always the account owner to reset the password, and I have never given consent to GoFundMe to deactivate my account. I become more concerned about the donors' information security. We donors, out of good intention to help others, created account with GoFundMe and provided bank information. The important information shouldn't be treated so carelessly. Access to our own accounts should always be respected and honored.

In August , I created a birthday fundraiser on GoFundMe to support a *** based charity with the goal of assisting people in *** who are deemed high risk of torture and murder by the Taliban. As an immigration and refugee lawyer, this cause was extremely important to me. I organized a small private dinner and invited my close friends to donate to my birthday fundraiser on GoFundMe. As such, all funds collected were from my close friends and family only. I raised over $2,000 to support the charity. Unfortunately, for the last four months, GoFundMe has not allowed me to withdraw the funds even after I have followed all the requirements and rules. GoFundMe emailed me to request that I sign a legal attestation that I would donate to ANOTHER REGISTERED *** CHARITY since the original charity I wanted to donate to was not registered in ***. I accepted and signed the attestation in November promising to donate to a registered *** charity that had similar goals of helping people in ***. Then, after I signed the attestation, I received another email from GoFundMe on December 8, from yet a different person, who requested that I update my birthday fundraiser to notify all those who donated that I will be donating to another charity instead. I did what was requested the same day on December 8 as I wanted the funds to be released to those in need Then, shockingly, on Christmas day, December 25, GoFundMe refunded the money to all my friends and family that donated to my birthday fundraiser and left me with zero in my GoFundMe account. I was devastated that my efforts in the last 5 months resulted in nothing. I have emailed GoFundMe to ask why the money was refunded when I did everything they requested. I have not received any response from them since Dec 8, 2021 and it is now January 10, 2022. Their actions have been negligent and unprofessional.

Hi my name is *** I am filing this complaint on GoFundMe because I am unable to receive the funds that were donated to me. I have spoken to three Representatives or more and what happened was when I was setting up my go fund account I set up everything except for my card and banking information. When I tried to go back into the account to add my debit card and banking information and use the password that I had created it was not working so the first representative I spoke with over email sent a reset link it would not let me reset the password because it required the old password that was not working so I reached out again and another representative set the same link. When I talk to a third representative I was told I had a donor account and that my email was not visible or valid and I am uncertain of what that really means. All the other times when I was asked about my email especially communicating with a representative they never mention that also the third representative said they could close that GoFundMe account and I could create a new one I asked how would I be able to get my funds and then there was no reply. All I want is the money that is owed to me I have been waiting for at least three to four weeks and no one else has reached out to me yet. I also called the number that was listed under *** for go fund me and an answering machine comes on and it tells you to leave a message which I have left at least four messages and no one ever called me back. But when you go on to the website for GoFundMe it says they do not have a phone number they can be reached by only through email and chat. I created this GoFundMe because I fell behind on my rent and bills due to being laid off , the sudden loss of my son and having covid as well, all I want is what is owed to me which is $1,150, if you guys could please help me out and receiving my GoFundMe donations I will greatly appreciate it

On February 26, 2022, I started a gofundme page to help my family in *** flee the country and seek refugee in a neighboring country. In my fundraiser, I provided a detailed explanation of what the funds would be used for, how many family members I am supporting with the donated money, and explained the urgency of the situation considering the current warfare. On February 26th, I received an email requesting the full legal names of each person/recipient of the donations, the purpose of the donations, and the name of the bank/money transfer service I will use. I provided ALL of the requested information. I waited 4 days, as told by in the automatic email, and had not heard back anything from anyone at gofundme. Between 02/28/2022 and March 1st, I attempted in three separate emails to inquire about the status of my gofundme account and I explained the urgency of the situation and requested to know why the funds that were donated were not being released. I explained that my family (24 people in total, some attempting to escape *** and the rest who are hiding in Eastern ***) are in desperate need of financial support to obtain medical supplies, food, and fuel. On March 3rd, I received an email from a *** at gofundme, once again requesting the SAME information (full legal names of the family members, and a detailed plan of how the family members would evacuate). I responded and provided a very detailed description of where the funds were going and what they were being used for. Per their request, I even provided the name of all 21 family members I've been helping. Today, March 7th, I have still not heard back from anyone at gofundme. I have provided several emails of all of the information they requested and they are still not releasing the funds, without providing any explanation.I have attached the email thread with gofundme as well as the document we created of the steps our family will take to get refugee status.
