GoFundMe review: Misleading and fraudulent claims of service

Over a week ago my air conditioning started to go bad I am disabled and live in a part of the country where this can be a serious danger for people like me. I had already exhausted any funds I had mitigating other small catastrophes within my life and when I read GoFundMe’s advertisement for posting for emergency funds to use for relief I felt this would be perfect for me, I signed up and within a day had enough donations to at least purchase a small either in window or portable ac unit which would have gotten me by. 7 days later and I still have received nothing. What they don’t tell you is there is a 2-7!day process wait and then to my dismay found out a 2-5 day transfer wait! I’m so disappointed and have endured +100 degree weather this entire week while all I can do is look at my money on my phone while they “apologize for the inconvenience” heat stroke is not an inconvenience! On the side note I use voice to text bc I have significant neuropathy in my hands I requested over and over for a phone call and they outright refused for two days then said they would schedule one and I haven’t heard back from them since. This is a travesty and they should be ashamed
