The GM Van Lines are the only movers who give you good suggestions on what to do and how to manage or place in your new apartment/office or anywhere. When we got to the new home, they offered to lay down plastic wrap to protect the new carpet. They moved all our stuff very professionally. These guys are terrific! The next time I move, I will definitely call GM Van Lines and the same crew next time.

The dudes were incredible. Super-efficient and got the move done in less than 4 hours. They were super great to work with. I got them some snacks and coconut water for a brief break they took after loading up, and they were off and ready to go for the unload. Again, I have never experienced such an efficient move and actually feel relaxed and happy afterward. We will 100% be using this company again.

This company deserves more than 5 stars. They are terrific. The movers arrived precisely on time and were WONDERFUL. They were so polite, witty and worked relentlessly and tirelessly. All of my items were carefully wrapped and handled, and NOTHING was damaged or even slightly scratched during the move. They set up all the beds and furniture at the new location exactly where I wanted them. Well done! Thank You!

They were showing up on time, and they worked their butts off to get our stuff moved quickly and safely. I had a great experience with them. I was initially worried about how safely our new furniture would get handled, but after just a few minutes, I saw that these guys would wrap everything in blankets and plastic wrap to ensure they arrived at our new home in the same condition that they left our old home. They are the best in the moving market!

We used these guys, and they were fantastic. Best money spent during the move. I would highly recommend them. I never spoke with the owner, but the crew is excellent. They are hardworking, careful, and overall respectful and pleasant guys. They worked so hard that we kept telling them to take 5 minutes, but they often ignored us (politely) and kept moving. Next month, we are relocating offices with my work; and I am definitely reaching out to them again.

We used gm van lies because they had a good ComplaintsBoard.com rating. Obviously that means nothing. Representatives from gm van lines came to our home to give a price on moving. He said many times the price would not change. However the day of moving they said we had more boxes than they realized and charged us 1800 more for the move. This was wrong in so many levels. My husband had been in an accident and could not move our stuff and they knew it. We were cornered as we had paid them deposit. I would not recommend them for anyone.

The first issue was the attitude from the office after they received our deposit. I had to fight them to come at the time I needed them. Told me it would mess up their schedule. Then when they come to move my things the first thing one of the movers does is take a [censored] in my toilet and did not even flush. Didn't even ask if he could use the bathroom. They move everything and then tell me that I am being charged one hour for the time it took them to get to me. It is a 20 min drive. They charged me $800 when the job took 3 hours including travel. They added on the rest. They also did not put one screw back in both our beds and didn't even leave them. Go somewhere else!

GM Van Lines has a disgusting personality. Rude and they overcharged. Please, whatever you do, do not hire them. They stole my ps5 and Remotes. That's $1,500, not even adding the games I have purchased. They do not even want to reimburse. I'm going to take this to legal matters. What a coincidence both remotes missing plus console. Please do not hire with them, please. I hope this whole company gets shut down immediately. They treat people like garbage. Only worried about the money. They do not care about how your stuff gets there. Also, the guys did not take all my stuff, I had to hire another company. Disgusting liars and thieves. They don't have a social media because they are crooks. I should have read the reviews beforehand, now I feel so dumb. I will keep reviewing them on every website. They tried charging me $16,000 to move. What kind of dirty human being does this? Hope they rot in hell.

We hired GM Van lines to move a simple 10 x 10 locker, we provided a detailed inventory and photos. On the day of the pick up, their driver informed me that because they had to do some extra packing and we had several extra boxes they would charge an extra $802 from the final estimate of $2179.88 for 2600 lbs. I should have cancelled the move on the spot! I think they count on you saying yes to the extra charges knowing you won't want to cancel your move and they have you over a barrel so to speak. I waited until it arrived and looked at the final inventory. It was half to 3/4 of what the original storage locker contained and did NOT exceed the 2600 lb estimate. It is still unclear whether it's based on the number of items, cubic size or the weight. They never provided a final inventory or weight because I doubt they weigh their small trucks (no logo either, looked like a 30'rental). I would have been happy to pay for extra packing but not to the tune of $802! For what we paid we could have hired a better company with good customer service. This company claims it's their own employees but I am not convinced it's not subbed out. They seem to operate like any other broker, fly by night. You have to call them about everything, no tracking or information. Their response to my complaint was so unprofessional, not in in the least friendly. This was a simple move so keep that in mind and find a better moving company that will treat you better and give you a good moving experience based on honesty.

HORRIBLE! I did a lot of research around moving companies, as we needed to hire movers since I am pregnant and couldn't help my husband lift or carry. We decided to pay extra to have quality movers we could trust. This company had overall good reviews and advertised how they were stress-free and had no hidden costs. Well, that was all a lie. This has been the most stressful move! First, the person who did the virtual tour to make the inventory list didn't include some outdoor footstool, even though I clearly showed it and called it out, and added four extra chairs we didnt have. In the end, the day of pick-up, we had to pay an additional $500 or so because we had some extra large boxes instead of large boxes (even though we had also traded out large for medium boxes). Fine. We just wanted it done. Then, we didn't get our furniture delivered until 6 days later. Again, manageable, though inconvenient. Then, we were told we would get 24 hours notice when the truck was on the way to deliver. 24 hours turned into a call the morning of (good thing my husband didnt have to work that day). Then, when they called, we were told they would be here around 2-3pm...which ended up being 6pm. Then on top of that, we find out the delivery truck is a 3rd party contractor, something we were never told was the case, and one of the reasons I had picked GM Van Lines (no third party). We were also told that this delivery mover wasn't informed we were on a 2nd floor apartment, something I told GM Van Lines several times. They tried to charge us for the stairs, but we were able to prove that GM Van Lines had said the stairs were already included in our estimate. Then we were told they had to shuttle the furniture, an additional $600 (it was going to be $900, but they were kind enough to work with us). Again, not the delivery trucks fault, but why on earth did GM van lines put our furniture on an 80' truck that had to be shuttled when the KNEW we were moving into an apartment complex. If they justed used a normal truck, the shuttle would not be needed. I THINK Van Lines likes to say they are here to help, but they are here to scam. On top of all that, thg ey broke a headboard on our bed. DO NOT USE THEM!

In all our 7 moves within the same city of Miami and across FL state lines, I have never had such an unprofessional and awful experience with a moving company. The team of 4 men including the foreman were not prepared for a move. The foreman and the crew appeared to our home wearing flip flops like they were prepared for a beach day not an actual move with heavy furniture and boxes.
The movers took over 2 hours to arrive to our new home when the distance between the 2 homes for the move is approximately 21 miles from door-to-door. On a good day, it should only take approximately 28 minutes or so to arrive and at a maximum with traffic around 40 minutes. They were unreachable during that time period and the dispatcher at the company was extremely rude, unprofessional and unapologetic for their lack of communication.

They gave us a lame excuse that their phone battery had died and they had put in the wrong directions into the GPS and had no way of communicating with us or the dispatcher. We had allotted 5 hours for the move and were not going to pay for the extra time for them to finish unloading the truck with our furniture and items.

When they started unloading the truck, we noticed the condition of how the truck was packed with our furniture and boxes. They were extremely inconsiderate and had no disregard for stuff. As they began to unload and unwrap the furniture, we noticed immediate damage with the handling and care. The ramp connected to the back of the truck was used to roll some pieces on its side instead of properly using a moving dolly. Upon uncovering all the damage to our furniture, the foreman even tried to lace blame on us as owners which was utterly absurd and unprofessional. We had damage to mostly all of the furniture they moved and poorly wrapped along with complete damage to a 65" Flatscreen TV due to their poor handling and packaging.

Due to the circumstances that were continuing to unravel to our dismay, we asked that they unload the truck and immediately leave our property. As we continued to uncover the damage the foreman began to rush us to sign the documentation to get paid and leave. In doing so, the foreman asked us to initial for the minimum coverage instead of giving a detailed explanation.

Buyer beware in using this company for your next move!
