GM Financial Repossession of my vehicle that had a payment arrangement made and approved

I purchased my 2019 Chevy Equinox on March 3rd, 2022 and at the end of March, I contacted my sales person at Jim Norton Chevy that I had not received the title yet to my vehicle, and I was told they had 30 days to get it to me, after the 30 days I reached out again and was told he would search, then said they sent it to the wrong address. I called GM Financial and explained the situation and the representative fully understood my concern and why I was hesitant in making payments and still not having my title, the tag agency said I needed to have the original title before they could do anything with registering the vehicle in my name. I again called GH financial and again was assured they would work with me, at the end of May I received the copy so I could turn it in, I called GM and made arrangements to add 1/2 of past payments to current ones and on June 17 made the first one agreed upon. I continued to receive calls that came across on my phone as "unknown caller" which I answered because sometimes it was GM Financial and then sometimes it is spam callers. I work for the state and during the time I am with clients I can not answer or call on my cell phone, there are many times I do not get home until after 9 pm, and sometimes I have to sit at the hospital with clients, sit in the office with a child client, driving a child client, etc. all situations that I can not talk personal information. on July 10th a Sunday my equinox was repoed and was told because I did not add my bank information to my account, I talked to the representative about all the calls and she said it will continue until I put my bank information in at which I asked, If I put my bank information in would the balance be taken out or the arranged amount, she said it would be the balance, and I said I can not put that information in until the balance is current and she agreed, once I made the last agreed upon payment arrangement and the next would be current bill only then to put my bank information in the account and set up for auto withdraw. so because I did not do that which representative agreed they repoed my car all because I would not put my bank information in. I never ignored them, I called when I was able to, I just could not when they would call while I was driving or with clients. but I did call, and he even stated he saw where I called and that I made a payment on time like as had agreed.

I had my car for 4 months only and have had nothing but problems. you can not email GM financial, I had tried to put in a complaint on their website but was denied to allow it to go through. no other ways of talking to them other than the phone.

Desired outcome: not to be responsible for the vehicle any further, if I can not get back as the guy that took my vehicle did not put it in nutural when he took it, there are skid marks on my driveway and down my street.

GM Financial disposition fee

Long time Cadillac customer and GM customer. Failure of GM to produce enough sedans created a situation where I was forced to turn in my car which created a disposition fee. It should be waived. I was not my choice not to lease another vehichle, none where available through no fault of mine. The fault was GM not producing enough vehicles. So waive this fee.

Desired outcome: Please waive the entire fee.

GM Financial Nissan Armada 2018 repossession company

To whom it may concern,

My name is John Bonacci, my address is 116 Linden St, Wenonah, NJ 08090, and we have had our 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum vehicle repossessed a few days ago.  My wife and I are both Government employees, Elena works work the Superior Court of New Jersey, and I'm a Retired Federal Air Marshal.  After I retired in 2015 I was given the opportunity to join the government program called Helmets to hardhats with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Union.  We have been financially responsible and stable up until COVID-19 pandemic has engulfed our country.  Elena has had the opportunity to work from home for the courts, but myself as a union carpenter we rely on unemployment yearly as our income due to the nature of how the UBC works.  Unemployment has never been an issue except for a few weeks backed up, but after September 2021 the NJ Department of Labor, NJ unemployment, and the new fraud deterrent ID. ME to verify everyone claiming NJ Unemployment Insurance has backup the NJ unemployment for months.  Due to the unexpected disaster by not getting unemployment payments for 4 months even though there is a balance of $16,000.00, we have missed 67 days of payments approximately 2 months/ so 2 payments. Our family is patiently waiting for our lump sum of $16,000. by next week.

The most important issue with the vehicle is Team Nissan of VINELAND NJ has not fully fulfilled their obligations to fix the vehicle as promised in writing and verbal contract.  When we purchased the Armada all party's agreed in writing to repair/fixed/ or replace 3 important defects on the vehicle.  The 3 I owe you contracts are as follows. 1- bumper repainted (fixed), 2 - new rotors & breaks (fixed & replaced, 3 - wiper blade computerized component (not fixed).

I personally have emailed, called, and have personally gone to the dealership to have it fixed.  I was told on a recorded conversation that I have in my possession, that the dealership would setup another appointment to have it replaced.  The 1st visit to team nissan, I turned the vehicle into the nissan dealership to have all three IOU (I OWE YOU) SIGNED contract to be completed.  The 1st, and 2nd issu was rectified, but the 3rd IOU was not completed.  I was personally explained how the wipers work on a 2018 nissan armada Platinum addition, and told me that it was my incompetence to have the knowledge on how the computerized wipers work. The Service Manager explained the details that it had to be raining for the wipers to work since there is a censor that recognizes the rain on the windshield.  I agreed that it maybe my unfamiliar knowledge of how the wipers operate and he agreed not to close out the service ticket on the vehicle until I have been satisfied with the service department completing the 3 IOU signed contracts.  Within 2 days it rained as I was traveling 180 miles to work, it was at this time my wipers did not work as it was supposed to when purchasing the vehicle.  The time frame for these incidents are from March 2021, through February 2022 with no call back, no appointments, will not return phone calls, and I even went to the dealership to find out if they are going to fulfill their obligation on the contract that was signed by the team nissan Management.  If I'm correct on how I'm understanding the NJ State laws on repossessed vehicles and dealerships in NJ are obligated to fulfill the contract, if it is not fulfilled, the contract of purchase is void and null.  Thus being the dealership being responsible  for paying all expenses to have the vehicle released from being repossessed, complete the obligations that the dealership has agreed to in a signed contract upon the sale of the vehicle, and or have the contract void with all expenses returned as of the day of sale.

My wife and I are 67 days late on the vehicle, that is two months.  GM FINANCIAL has repossessed the vehicle and here is the email I have sent team nissan and GM Financial. Not only was the vehicle repossessed without any prior notifications to find out why this vehicle is is the rears.  As in for NJ consumer information and NJ State law, Team Nissan and GM Financial are in violation of NJ State law. When GM Financial hired the company to repossess our vehicle, the repo employee ripped 1 Comcast digital security camera off the front door, then used a lazer to disable the physical camera on the side of our home, as to the lazer burning the highly sophisticated technology and lens on our 3 camera Xfinity security system it is now inoperable permanently. Our security system is a $800.00 dollar system.  In the contents of the NJ state law that allows a repo representative to "ONLY HAVE AUTHORITY TO HAVE ACCESS TO A OPEN DRIVEWAY" not full access to our backyard, left side house, right side house, fenced in backyard, and absolutely at no time should a repo employee touch, mutilate, damaged, or have access to private property except a open driveway to legally repossess a vehicle.

Team Nissan is in violation of breaching the "I OWE YOU" with the windshield wipers not working on the purchase of a 2018 Nissan Armada Platinum Nissan certified vehicle.  I refuse to fulfill my obligations of payments until this is rectified, in the meantime the vehicle has been repossessed within only 63 days late thats 2  months of non payment, who repossess a vehicle with only 2 months behind due to team nissan not fulfilling their requirements on the contract signed by management at team nissan. The vehicle needs to be repaired as promised in the documents team nissan signed, team nissan is responsible for all expenses due to the vehicle being repossessed and TEAM NISSAN'S responsibility to fulfill the requirements in the signed agreements. If this can not be resolved in a timely manner, legal action will be the next course of action.

My name is John Bonacci and I'm sending you the NJ Statutes and federal law that your financial institution is in breach of contract.  Since the vehicle that I purchased from #Teamnissan Vineland New Jersey has yet been fixed as promised in a written IOU document, 10 phone calls, 1 trip back to Team Nissan,  and after multiple recorded conversations speaking with the service department Manager to set up a date to bring my vehicle in, I've yet to receive a phone call from #VinelandTeamNissan to fix the non working wiper blades.  Its been over 10 months with no wiper blades but with only 2 missed payments due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  I explained to the representative about the NJ unemployment issues with the ID. ME having to wait 8 weeks for identification verification due to the unemployment fraud.

GM F. is in federal and state law violation for a repossessed vehicle in south jersey.  New Jersey state law upholds this Statute very seriously

A warranty regarding the quality of goods or services, or to repair or relace them if they are defective, is also a contract under New Jersey law, so breaching the warranty will also be a Breach of Contract. Thus, for example, if a contractor built a deck, and the deck collapsed several months later because of defective workmanship, and the contractor failed to repair or replace the deck, the contractor would have breached its contract with the homeowner by failing to repair or replace the deck. New Jersey breach of contract law gives the consumer a means to recover his/her losses.

You do not repossess a vehicle if the dealership has not fulfilled their obligations, its not how you do business.

John Bonacci

Desired outcome: Full refund of down payment, full refund of the Nissan security plus warranty retroactive to the day of sale

GM Financial Unathorized Inquiries on Credit Report by GM FINANCIAL

I have contacted GM Financial on multiple occasions about the UNATHORIZED inquires on my credit reports initiated by them in violation of FCRA section 1681b(a): Permissible Purposes of Consumer Reports as well as Section 1681b(c): Transactions Not Initiated by Consumer. GM Financial has failed to rectify these unlawful inquiries, they have failed to provide any documentation to support permissible purpose or verify the authorization of the inquiries due to the fact that I have no knowledge of the inquires, nor did I ever authorize them! I have filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for there unlawful inquiries. Again I have contacted GM Financial to no avail, they have not responded to my demands for verification, and have not rectified the unlawful inquiries initiated by them. I have received verification that GM Financial has received my certified mail and have signed for acceptance of the certified mail, therefore their inaction demonstrates willful noncompliance.

Desired outcome: Immediate deletion of all inquiries initiated by GM FINANCIAL and their associates from my 3 bureau credit reports

GM Financial Lease end buyout numbers not being honored

Hello, I have a leased Cadillac Escalade from Herb Chambers in Lynnfield mass, and the lease is ending on December 15th. On my Contract that was agreed upon when the lease started, there is clear information of the price to be able to buy out the vehicle, but now GM financial is trying to rip me off and is trying to charge an extra $8k - $9k over the number on my lease agreement. I am wondering if there was anyone that wants to contact me to discuss this before I report it to the better business bureau and have my attorney start the process of publicly going after GM Financial for the attempt to rip off customers. Herb Chambers said that they have nothing to do with this?

My cell is [protected]

my email is [protected]@dalelco.com

I can send all info by email if someone could please reach out to me..

Desired outcome: Just want to buy out the vehicle for the actual price stated on the original lease.

GM Financial Car lease

I have been having a problem with GM financial for the past month.

Specifically, I returned a leased GM vehicle per my lease agreement by the end of its lease contract date to a local GM dealership.

It has been more than a month since I returned the vehicle and yet my account shows as being delinquent.

I have communicated with several GM Financial representatives by phone or email regarding this problem. The last conversation was on October 26, 2021 at which time I was reassured that my account would be revised to reflect that the vehicle was no longer in my possession and had been returned per my lease agreement. I was specifically informed that there was nothing more that I needed to do to correct this issue.

This matter is particularly upsetting to me because I have a long history of perfect credit. I also am in the process of refinancing my home and this "delinquent account" notice is showing up on my credit report.

Can you please kindly expedite resolving this account issue for me.

Thank you for your time and prompt attention to this matter.

GM Financial GM did not invoice last auto pay, then reported it late, no notice

leased a 2018 Chevy Volt in September 2018 and auto pay was set up for GM Financial from my checking account at Wells Fargo Bank (WFB). Thirty five on time payments of 349.99 were made. Then in August, GM decided not to invoice for the last payment! This was confirmed by2 WFB bankers and it was verified by Natasha, their own GM Financial worker, on October 1, 2021. WFB therefor did not make the payment.
•GM created this situation, then with no notice to me, they willfully and negligently reported that late payment to the credit bureaus. My FICO score went from 766 (excellent) to 698 (higher than 45% of us customers. but not good enough for GM financing of the lease buy out at 0%. As a result, I was denied GM financing at 0 % and I had to go with Bank of America financing at4.59%. Natasha said I was called on my home phone several times. I have been home during covid and I have received no calls or messages from GM Financial. She said once the phone rings, it is counted as a call, whether or not I answer! I did receive one call from GM Financial on September 27, 2021 from Adrianne who wanted to know what I was going to do with the car. NO MENTION OF A LATE PAYMENT DUE WAS MADE. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I asked them to conduct a reasonable investigation, they refused... then said they already did. Faxed a demand letter to GM Financial October 3, no response.

Desired outcome: 1) take back the report at all 3 credit bureaus and take responsibility for not invoicing. 2) Buy out my 4.5% interest loan and offer me a 0% interest loan I would have qualified for 3) pay a fine for not following the FCRA.

GM Financial Knowledge of customer service

I called GM Financial to let them know my Aunt passed away and she had a vehicle leased through them. The woman from GM said just have someone take over the lease since there is such low miles on the car. When I called to do that I was told we could not do that as there was no will which means no executor and the executor has to sign off on it. They then stated we could outright buy the car but a bank or dealership had to call for the payoff. I had my mom go to the bank, they got the payoff, she got a check and when we called to ask where to mail it and how to get tags for it GM Financial said you can't do that without a signoff from the executor. We tried to do the right thing from the beginning and each person I talked to gave me wrong information. My Mom wanted to purchase that car for emotional reasons and it has been 3 weeks of a lot of work and wrong information given by GM. I am a Toyota girl myself and I will never ever finance with GM or buy a GM vehicle.

I paid my loan off for my vehicle and waited about thirty days for a title to be sent out to me. When I title did not arrive I contacted GM financial and was told they were back logged and was asked to be patient they would be mailing my title out. After waiting another couple weeks I tried calling them again but was unable to get through so I contacted them on there live messaging option on the App. I informed them that I still had not received my title yet. They told me it had been mailed out and if I had not received it it must of gotten lost in the mail. I asked how this could be resolved and was told since the title is a original document all they could do is mail out another letter saying the lean has been lifted off my car. I was told they would mail it out the next day. After waiting another two weeks for this letter it never arrived so I contacted them through there app again. This time I was told that my request for the lean satisfaction letter was denied but I was never contacted by gm financial with this information. I was told that I needed to go on to a web sight called get my car title.com and purchase a lean satisfaction letter. All in all I could not believe the poor customer support I received from this company. The fact that they lost the title and paper work for my vehicle and told me ruff luck was just icing on the cake. I can not imagine every doing business with this company again and would give you the same advice

GM Financial Taking a payment after a car has been paid off in full

I took an alternative loan at a better interest rate and totally paid off gm financial. I received the funds the following day. I followed up with a phone call to gm financial and they indicated that they had received the money. They took an extra payment! They denied doing this, blamed the bank, and refused to give me a refund. I verified with the bank that the payment had occurred. I persistently had to keep calling and live chatting to obtain anyone to address the problem. I had a perfect payment record... They hung up on me twice and I had to invest 2.5 hours to get them to acknowledge they had been paid. They are holding my money an extra 2 weeks with a snail mail refund payment going out on the 24th! This is a predatory company who attempted to take advantage of a customer! Even if your loan is paid off and they admit they received the funds... Cancel any future payments to them or they will try to keep the money. I believe this to be a scam strategy since I had even called to verify that they had received the funds!

Desired outcome: A prompt refund; respectful customer services versus a scam effort

GM Financial GM falsely reported deferred/late/missed payment to GAP in total loss.

3/12/2020 I bought a pre-owned 2017 Toyota Tundra from the local Chevy dealership where I received financing through GM financial. The total amount financed was $29, 500. 4/2020 and 5/2020 I made my payments as agreed and then on 05/06/2020 my truck was stolen in the middle of the night. I called authorities, Root (my insurance provider), the GAP company I had gotten through the dealership, and I also called GM financial to let them know as well. My insurance spent about 3 weeks investigating and attempting to locate my vehicle but ultimately declared it a total loss. Root paid GM promptly. Root valued my truck and went off of a fair market value making the payment to GM after my deductible of $28, 723.00. At the time of insurance paying nothing had been late or due yet and the only thing left was for GAP to pay the rest which at this point should have been less than I even paid for the GAP policy but for some reason GM reported to the GAP company that I had either missed a payment or that I asked for deference on a payment so they didn't pay per their contract. Not only did GM fraudulently report this information to GAP but they also refused to report the payment the insurance made to the 3 credit bureaus for over 3 months, and instead reported between June-October 2020 that I hadn't made any payments and even went so far as to report added interest and late fees this entire time making the reported remaining balance percentage on the account well over 100 percent remaining but it was all incorrect information. It showed correctly that payments were all satisfied when logged in on my GM financial account. I finally had to dispute it with the bureaus to get GM to even attempt to report the correct information which, given that my account with them showed the correct information was reported intentionally. All of this dropped my credit score for the last year from a 650 before the theft to a 480-490 during that time.
I only owned the vehicle 2 months before it was stolen and my insurance valued it at nearly the full amount financed on top of having a freshly paid GAP policy. However, due to the shady actions of GM financial, I was not able to get a replacement vehicle in any reasonable amount of time because they trashed my credit and would not provide me with any documentation validating their claims or taking any accountability. All of this made the strain of losing my vehicle much worse and especially during the pandemic, I ultimately lost my job in October 2020 with this ordeal being the main reason. Then the day after I lost my job over this GM calls and tells me they are charging my account off for a leftover balance of $715.00 which has to this day not been explained to me or validated by anyone I have spoken to at GM (which has been weekly) since the charge off. Then after the charge off I spoke to the finance manager at the dealership and told him what was going on. He said since I purchased the lifetime synthetic oil changes package (valued at a little over $800 that I was eligible for a full refund since I never used it and sent me paperwork to request payment. Although, since this still unaccounted balance of $715.00 was still owed to GM financial it had to first go towards satisfying my balance as per the cancellation of services agreement. GM financial should have received this back in November which would have more than satisfied this alleged balance but the Account representatives act like it didn't exist. With the missing refund aside though, I have spoken with many GM collections reps over the last 7 months and after I explain the situation to them from beginning to end while they verify the record of my account history they ultimately have all agreed with me that they made the mistake and the balance shouldn't exist… but in their words "Yes sir, based off the notes there aren't any deference's, late payments, or missed payments so the GAP report was incorrect and the balance should've been taken care of and shouldn't be your responsibility." I say "great so everything is going to be corrected?" Then they reply "Not until you pay the balance, until then it will be reported on your credit. You may not be responsible for it but we cannot change the balance." The GAP won't reopen the claim without GM cooperation and GM, even after admitting they made the mistake many times over won't even attempt to working with GAP, or sending any correction to them to reopen the claim.
I have disputed with the bureaus many times but GM somehow continued to falsely report this balance as mine. I have continuously asked for documentation with the history of my account and the events that have led to them coming up with this balance but I have gotten stonewalled.
Fast forward to today, GM has sold the debt to a collections company, and while I have been frustrated. I have also continued to be patient and I have reasonably worked with GM the entire time to clear this up with nothing in return but lies and being misled. Now that it is sold to a third party to collect I am at a loss of what to do as I fear it will be even more difficult to reconcile with them as they don't care about the facts or if a person even legitimately owed a debt in the first place.
I am posting my complaint here and anywhere else I can in hopes that someone may be able to help me out. Also, I hope my story may help someone that may be considering getting a loan with GM financial. My story is one of many different consumer complaints about GM financial Online with it happening to others as well making this a pattern and a growing concern.

Desired outcome: Account corrected on my credit report. Balanced removed, charge off changed to paid as agreed.

GM Financial Title department for releases

My name is Peggy I work at Berlin city and we do a lot of business with your business and this is not the first time I have had problems with your title department on releasing titles. I have called multiple time on this one title with the name Diane Johnson account number is [protected]. I talked with two people the middle of may each week and supposedly the title was as it was but we never received it. I then called back on the last week of may around the 25th or 26th and talked with a supervisor named URI and I sent over all the paperwork over to him and thought it was taken care of gave him our fed ex number to have it overnighted but it never came. I then called back on the 1st of June and talked with another person and they then told me it was sent out on the 4th fed ex again never received it! This car has been sold and we still have no title for gm financial. This is not a good resolution that your company took. When a supervisor can not follow thru is unacceptable in my department. I am hoping someone will follow up, on this issue and have your departments get it all the way done and follow with a call or an email. This is not a way to run a department when someone pays off the car on April 15th 2021 and our Berlin city Kia still has not received the title that supposedly sent three times and today I talked with a manger name Taylor and she said it was sent out fed ex and we should receive it tomorrow lets see if it comes this time!

Desired outcome: TRAIN BETTER

I have just gone through a similar experience. It all started when we went to the bank to purchase the car from the lease company. We called for the payoff information and was never told not to send the money to GM Financial but to the lease company they sent the lease to after we completed the lease document 39 months before. Because the money was sent to GM Financial; they are saying this delayed processing the paperwork to issue the title. I wasn't even aware of any problem until I called GM Financial the first time and discovered they did not have the odometer statement to start the title process. Again; I was never told the document needed to be included with the loan payoff as I had communicated the odometer information over the phone when I was getting the payoff information. After about another month I called again to find out what was holding up my title as the 60 day requirement for my state was rapidly approaching. They told me it was still in processing and should be mailed soon. After 3 more calls I escalated the issue to a supervisor who said the title was still being processed because we were late providing the odometer statement. This person assured me the title would be mailed within a week. After the week passed I moved the call up to a second level supervisor who said the document had been mailed and should arrive within 7 to 10 business days. When it didn't arrive I called another second level supervisor who stated the document had not been mailed but he would make sure to send it express mail so it would arrive in a couple of days. Again nothing. Then I called one more 2nd level supervisor who said the document had been sent by regular mail and should arrive in 7 to 10 business days again. I was not able to call again before it finally arrived 4.5 months after the initial sale. I just called them again to let them know I should be reimbursed for the extra tag fees I incurred from the long delay and this time I am told the original title was mailed May 11 and a replacement title was mailed June 26th. Clearly GM Financial does not hire managers who are able to stay on top of title transfer requirements for each state and who can make sure these delays don't happen. This company should be held responsible for the extra expenses they are putting on people and businesses for this gross negligence. I am in favor of a class action suit against this company to teach them a lesson about taking responsibility for their own inability to perform the job they are hired to do. While I have been going through this process with them I learned of another person who experienced an 18 month delay in getting the title. Horrible. I will never deal with GM Financial ever again.

GM Financial Vehicle lease end charges

A 2018 GMC Terrain was turned in at lease end on January 30, 2021. Lease Account #[protected]. A letter from GM Financial was received on February 11, 2021 with lease end charges that include an Excess Wear charge of $648.00.

After consulting with the dealer I was provided a text to dispute the charge with I did on March 28, 2021. The charge if for tires that the inspector claim "Do Not Match". New tires were put on the vehicle March 2 2020 and the tires tread was 1/4 inch according to the inspection.

GM Lease took the vehicle, with those tires, on February 5. The vehicle was sold a auction with those tires! I find GM Financial price for replacement tires excessive. Also I am expected to buy tires twice for the same vehicle.

Lease end information was not sent by GM Financial until after tires were replaced.

Desired outcome: Remove the Excess Wear Charge.

GM Financial Lied to get my money

End of Feb, my boyfriend of 20 years
TRUCK got repo. I handed him $2000 to get it back. Said he'd pay me back. April 2ND
he unexpectedly passes away.
I tried to keep payments up with his bank card payments declined.
May 17th I get a call from Debra Gallo, a supervisor at GM Financial
I figured she was going to chew my butt for the returned payment. So May 21 I return her call. She proceeds to tell me if I make the loan current, she can transfer the title to me and I can finance the truck in my name. So being out $2000 I took my whole check and 1/2 last week's check $954 made the loan current. After the payment clears, she proceeds to tell me there's less than a year of payments left on the loan that I don't qualify for transfer. She knew all along she could not transfer a deceased persons' property. I want to know, since when is it ok to lie to someone from a business standpoint. I have asked her nicely to refund my money. I have also chatted with customer service and since he is deceased they can not talk to me about the loan But they took my payment.
Miss Gallo contacted me! She
Talk to me about the loan. Got my money. Now can not talk to me without paper work saying I'm exec tour of estate. I now have $3000 I demand this be made right!
I have asked them for Debra Gallo, supervisor's name and # with no response! I want my money back.
I will not stop until I get it! Dirty way to do business, miss Debra Gallo. I want my money back!
I have screen shots and recorded calls as proof.

Desired outcome: Full $954 refund

GM Financial Repossessed vehicle

I missed one payment and they repossessed my car. They claim they have called me but never left me a voicemail! With the amount of scam calls out there how do you expect me to answer a random number calling me 20 times through out the day and not leaving me one voicemail? I work, there's a pandemic, i'm busy, we're all human and forget, no excuses but at least do your job and leave a simple voicemail so I know who why this random number is calling me. Now I have to pay triple the amount of money to get it back? What kind of company are you? Im telling everyone to never get a car from this horrible business.

Desired outcome: Pay to get my car out for unlawful repossession

GM Financial Lease end

I had two lease vehicles, turned on in and bought the other. I received a call a month after saying they were GM Fin. saying I owed $295 for turning in the lease. I disagreed and called in and was told My accounts had "Zero balance" I asked them to double check. Again they said Zero balance. so I did nothing and again I got a call saying I owed. So I called again looking to pay the balance, and again "Zero balance sir". I figure it was a scam like so many are out there today. Now 10 months later, I apply for a loan and was told no due to a charge off on my report by GM. When talking to the woman on the phone she continued to tell me it was my fault due to me not paying the bill. IT's not the $295, it's the fact that they trashed my credit when I tried to pay it a number of times, and was told by their tech on the phone it was zero balance. How do I sue GM Financial?

Desired outcome: clear my credit report of this charge
