Charged fee above & beyond diagnostic fee quoted on the phone, for "no parts repair" & only performed a partial diagnostic inspection of my A/C unit. Hello, I am writing to express my slight dissatisfaction with the service that I received from GLT heating & cooling today. I tried calling the company back over the last 2 hours but am not able to get through to their phone line. This company has been out before and the service has been excellent, however today I do not feel the same. GLT was out to perform a diagnostic of my A/C unit on Friday July 3 @ 8am. On the phone prior to the service, I was quoted $95.00 for a diagnostic service that would inspect the system for leaks and performance, and would check the evaporator or condenser coil etc. for adequate performance. The repair person was out for exactly 1 hr and did in fact hook up a pressure gauge to check system pressure, and was indoors to check operating temperature with a thermometer, but that is all. I was charged an additional fee of $60.00 which is noted on the invoice as a "no parts repair" fee, which to me is outrageous. I questioned the repair tech on this charge and he said "This charge is for my time here. It's for hooking up the gauges, and checking the temperature inside. You know." I said to him that on the phone I was only quoted $95.00 for the diagnostic and that it would include all these things (basically to fully check the operation of the system) but he could not speak to that and further and again stated that the additional $60.00 charge was for his time spent here, performing his tests. In addition to his time spent here, he was also outside for several minutes speaking to my neighbour that approached him to ask about their air conditioner. I don't feel that I should be paying for that time spent. He was on site for precisely 1 hour and charged me $95.00 diagnostic plus $60.00 "no parts repair", plus 12% taxes. He did not inspect the evaporator coil indoors, and I had to take the metal cover off and inspect it myself once he left. He only showed me which cover to remove to inspect it myself. To me, this should have been part of the diagnostic fee. A full inspection of the system, technically and visually. Only part of this was done, but entirely at my expense. The only positive news from this site visit is that my A/C unit was performing exactly as it should, all numbers were in appropriate spec. So I am unsure why a "no parts repair" fee was added. There was no repair! The system was working up to specification. Why is there a fee for no parts, and for no repair? This makes zero sense to me, as a consumer.

I was very pleased with the person who serviced my air conditioner.
It took a long time to receive our new blower for our furnace but they put in a temporary one in which was nice, and we did have our warranty still. They also waved any service fees for us which was nice.
Amazing service! Professional, prompt, very honest. Had furnace fixed within hours of our call and everyone we dealt with from office staff to service tech were wonderful. Would recommend to anyone!

Nancy at the Autumnwood location was so helpful and went out of her way to help me get a part for my furnace. They are a service outlet and normally do not sell parts. She was so busy and went out of her way to help me secure the part I needed. You are lucky to have such a dedicated and hard working employee such as Nancy. We were very impressed with Jessica from GLT! She was friendly, knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and did not seemed rushed. We felt her to be honest & trustworthy as the visit progressed. We signed on for yearly maintenance and will be requesting her to do the visit. We have used GLT in the past with regards to plumbing and have had excellent service! We will continue to use them ongoing and highly recommend this company! Thx you Debby & Charlie N
Great service for both my home and office
Great service for both my home and office. GLT does the yearly maintenance on my furnace and AC each year at my house. They have put in my hot water tank twice now over the last 12 years usually when I was in a panic. They have 24/7 service! They also put in a new furnace in my house around 2009.
Recently they came to check out my office and helped me figure out what the HVAC issues were.
Reliable, dependable, trustworthy, value: all touchstones of a great business.

He was patient and walked me thru a few things I could try to get the heat working, which did get it back on. He even phoned at 7:30 the next morning to make sure it was still working Then Jessica came the next day and checked it out and found out what was likely the issue. Fixed it and it is better then ever. She was very professional and very knowledgeable. I will definitely be using them for my routine maintenance and any other problems that might arise! I had also recently used them for duct cleaning and again it was very professional and well done. Would recommend them for sure!
