I am 59 years old and have worked for Claxton Poultry Farms for 28 years. Over the past several years, younger employees have received raises, promotions, and opportunities been denied fair compensation. My age and seniority have been used against me.
I have serious walking problems caused by the concrete floor in the truck shop. Management has ignored my physical limitations and refused to provide any accommodation. I have also been mocked and laughed at for the way I walk, which is harassment and discrimination.
I was recently suspended based on false accusations. When I returned, supervisor Ricky stated he was “making more reports because I am slow.” These actions appear to be retaliation for speaking up about unfair treatment and discrimination.
Younger employees are not suspended, written up, or targeted with false allegations. I am. The pattern of treatment appears intended to pressure me into quitting, which is constructive discharge.
I am requesting a formal investigation.
