This Freemake, man oh man. I downloaded all kindsa songs from their site and lemme tell ya, parts of the song just cuts off completely. You know, like silence and no sound at all? I even signed up for their Gold Pack service and still had the same issue. Like what's even the point of payin' if the songs ain't even workin'? I tried reachin' out to their customer service like a decent human being and what do you know? They flat out ignore me like I'm nobody. That's just rude, ya know? And they had this fancy shmancy update to their software but lo and behold, nothin' changed. Still had the same problem with the songs cuttin' out and then pickin' up again. Like am I listenin' to the same song or what? And don't even get me started on their converter. If I can't even listen to the song without it bein' choppy, then what's the point of convertin' it anyway? Useless, useless, useless.

Got me a "lifetime license" for Freemake back in 2019, and gotta say, I was lovin' the product. It was fast, efficient, and got the job done. But now, two years later, I can't even access the darn software without gettin' hit with a big fat reminder that I've gotta shell out $59.95 to upgrade. Ain't that some bull? I was all set to give them the brush-off, but wouldn't ya know it - they dropped the price to $19.95 soon as I tried to back out. Like, come on, guys! At least try to make your bait-and-switch routine a little less obvious.

So I caved and bought the upgrade, and what do I get? Yet another request to upgrade to their so-called "King" tier, just so I can convert some measly YouTube clips to mp3s. Are you freaking kidding me?! Ain't no way I'm doin' business with these people again. I swear, Freemake should be called Wetake, cause that's all they do - take your money and run.

Moral of the story? If you're lookin' for a reliable media converter that won't jerk you around, stick to the big guns. Freemake ain't even worth the time or the headache.

This here Freemake software is free to use but it puts a big ol' watermark right in the middle of your video, so if'n you're okay with that then knock yerself out. If not, it's gonna cost ya under $2 for a week's worth of service. It did what I needed it to do for one video. Now listen here, ya gotta make sure you cancel that trial or else they gonna reel ya in for a $40 lifetime license with no warning. That's some bullpucky if y'all ask me, unless you're someone who needs to convert a heck of a lot of videos.
I was mighty ticked off about this and sent them some emails and even complained to Paypal about it. Finally got my money back though, so that's somethin'.

Remember that once you give them your credit card details, they'll charge you every month without your consent, and it becomes very difficult to unsubscribe from their payments.

I recently ponied up some dough for Freemake and was excited to start converting videos of all shapes and sizes. However, after trying to convert a batch of three short videos (approx. 7 minutes each), I noticed that the program would crash if I tried to do any more than that. I'd say it happened about 50% of the time, which was pretty frustrating.

Even worse, after waiting what felt like an eternity for it to almost complete the conversion to dvd, I'd sometimes get hit with a dvd burn error and the disc would become completely useless. I'd have to start the whole process all over again, which was a huge waste of time.

While dealing with these issues, I reached out to the customer service team at Freemake and my experience wasn't great. I've tried to cancel my subscription and get a refund on multiple occasions, but my requests seem to be met with an automated response. I'm beginning to wonder if there are even real human beings working on this program at all.

All things considered, I feel like I've been ripped off by Freemake. They have promised one thing and delivered another, which is a real shame. If I could, I'd give this program zero stars and warn other users to stay away from it.

So, my ol' lady tried buying one of them DVD converters from Freemake for a steep price of ?59. She ain't no computer whiz, but even she could tell that this was some shifty business. The code key they sent her was more complicated than a Rubik's cube, and she couldn't figure out how to download the darn thing. She tried to get her money back, but them Freemake folks ain't making it easy. They wanted her to take some snapshots of her computer screen to prove she didn't download it, but she's more likely to take a selfie with a polar bear than she is to figure out how to do that. Ain't these folks supposed to be the experts?

It's been a while, and she still ain't gotten her refund. Honestly, it's a dang shame that there are companies out there who would scam folks like this. So, let me tell you this, friend, don't be a sucker like us and throw your money away with these crooks.

Installed this app because it said it was gonna be free, no trial but free like always. It was pretty good for a while with its nice & easy to use interface, however, it took me quite some time to convert those 5 files. I wasted hours of my precious time & energy converting these files just to realise that their watermark is front & center middle of the screen with another line about their amazing converter & its features. What a complete waste of my time, none of those 'free' files were any use. This app certainly shouldn't have led me to believe that it was free over & over again like a broken record. They throttle down the speed so it takes hours to convert any file to trick you into giving in & throwing cash their way. Such a scam & very misleading.

Honestly, I'm not gonna waste a penny on any app like that, that just leads you on a trail of deception. It's just not worth it! Don't waste your time or money people!

But get this, the website ain't got no useful information on it, can you believe that? It's like they don't even wanna help you out. And don't even get me started on their customer support, it's like they don't care at all. I done reached out to 'em on November 1st, and it's been two whole weeks and I still ain't got no resolution yet. It's no wonder folks are saying this ain't freeware.

When you go and look at those reviews with all the praise and admiration, make sure you check the dates first. 'Cause let me tell ya, they done went and broke this thing early in 2020, probably tryin' to take advantage of folks during the pandemic. So save yourself some time and money and just go back to your old hobbies, you hear? Ain't no need to deal with this kinda nonsense.
