Four Seasons Heating & Air Conditioning review: AC Install

I had a terrible experience with Four Seasons Heating and Cooling in Chicago. First, they scheduled my appointment on the wrong date. They did not send any type of confirmation or reminder. Then, they showed up and identified that I needed a new AC. They scheduled the repair and told me that they needed a crane to reach the roof with the unit. I later found out that this wasn't true and it cost me $2,000 unnecessarily. Then, when the team showed up to do the install, it was a myriad of errors. They were there for 12 hours and did not complete the job. The next technician showed up a couple days later and informed me that the installers broke a node on the control panel and wired the unit incorrectly. Since they were not honest about the mistake, the tech did not have the right parts to repair the issue. Finally, the fourth technician came a few days later and after repairing the unit and test running everything, we discovered that the installers took off the chimney cap and did not put secure it back in place. This caused the furnace pipe to fill up with dust from the roof and burned out my blower motor. The technician took photos and told me that he would report the issue to management and they would get back to me in 2-3 days. That did not happen. I had to contact them several times to report the issue. They never returned my calls with an update as they kept promising. Each time I reached them, I had to talk to a different person and start over. They finally told me, despite all of my evidence, that since the installer did not admit to taking the cap off, they would not honor the service and it would cost me $1000 for the repair (for $100 part). This is absolutely the worst contractor experience of my many years of home ownership. They cost me several days off of work for the extra visits and never even helped me program my new thermostat.
