Griffith Energy Services On 4/8 fuel oil delivery was spilled in my basement

On 4/8 fuel oil delivery was spilled in my basement. Griffith agreed to pay for cleanup & removal of walls & floor tiles soiled Wont communicate On April 8, 29 gallons of fuel oil was spilled in my basement by accident by the delivery driver. The driver never reported it to me. I called Griffith and reported the spill. Griffith sent a technician out to put some material on the spill to absorb the fuel oil. After several weeks, the Delivery manager came to my home and looked at damage caused by the spill. He accepted responsibility and asked me to send him a bill once I got the work done. My husband and I removed all the soiled tiles immediately due to the strong smell in our home. We then ordered a dumpster and disposed of all the items in the basement that were soiled with fuel oil. We paid for this ourselves. I got an estimate for the cleanup as suggested by the delivery manager, from a 3rd party (***). I sent the estimate to Griffith via email. They agreed to pay *** directly via email and sent me a copy of the signed estimate. The work was begun on 5/15 and was completed by ***. To date, Griffith still has not paid ***. Griffith has stopped communicating with me. Last communication was on 5/5 via email. My basement has been cleaned, walls partially removed, floor tiles removed, and floor sealed. However, now I need the basement restored with like kind materials to bring it back to the way it was before the spill occurred.

I used Griffith Energy to finance and install a new boiler. I finished payment for this service early in April and received email documentation that my account was paid in full. Since then I have received a monthly bill and now am having late fees added to my account. I have called multiple times and spoken with people who have told me my account is paid off but I continue to receive bills and now my credit has been affected. I cannot get resolution of this issue myself.

Delivered 115.8 gallons of #2 Heating Oil on 11/5/22 after we had canceled service in August. We now have a bill for $810.48 for Oil we did not need or want or frankly can we afford. Was promised a call back from a supervisor during an inquiry by phone on 11/5 that was to occur this morning and has not. I consider this practice predatory. They upgraded their system and changed account numbers my old account is *** and I believe the new one is ***. I will be sending a dispute letter to their *** Cheverly MD 20781 address per their dispute instructions on the back of the delivery ticket.

I closed my account on Sept. 28, 2022 and was informed I was due a refund which would be sent to me within two to three weeks. I then called back on Oct 12, 2022 to find out where the check was and informed it would be sent that week. I waited and as of Nov. 10,2022 I still had not received the check. I called and a supposed supervisor stated it had been mailed that week and should delivered within a few days. It is now Nov. 26, 2022 and still no check! I called and asked for supervisor to call me earlier this week and have not received a call back. My account number was ***. Have someone contact me!

On 10/26/2022, Griffith Energy Services filled the propane tank on the property I rent without notification/advance scheduling and when I was traveling for work. Last year (2021), they also filled the propane tank without scheduling or notification when I was out of the state. I travel often for work so I don't use as much propane as I might if I were home full-time. Because of that, after last year's issue, I called and asked them to schedule future deliveries with me. They did not, delivered more propane this year, and as it happens, I am moving out of state within the month. They billed me $582.54 for fuel I will hardly use.

Griffith Energy Services I called to bring to the attention of the service department that per our service agreement they were to service and maintancre my furance

I called to bring to the attention of the service department that per our service agreement they were to service and maintancre my furance. They came out and serviced my furnace in May 6 per my service contract I have with them. The tech that came out and did the maintenance said the furnace was in perfect working order and nothing needed to be replaced. He was asked if there was any paperwork to be signed and the tech replied no. On June 3 I had a different company come out and maintenance my AC unit. While he was in the crawl space checking the coils for the AC he noticed that the burner head on my oil furnace had several tabs burned off, this was a concern to the AC tech because he said that if the remaining tabs get damaged or burn off it would destroy the entire unit the tech told me that this is the first thing they should have checked when they came out to maintenance the furnace because of the damage it can cause if it blows off the furnace. The part needed to prevent the furnace from being totally destroyed retails for $7.98. We tried to contact Griffith to let them know and was treated with total disregard for the problem and the customer service representative put me on hold to make a "phone call" came back on the line and told me it was an AC problem and to call them and then the CSR hung up on me! I called back and asked for a branch manager to please call me so I could discuss what had just transpired and try to resolve the pending issue. I never heard back from a manager to get this resolved which has lead me to this course of action.

Griffith installed a new oil fired boiler at my home 2+ years ago. Recently I have started receiving a bill (and now a late fee) for an annual maintenance service contract. I have asked for info about a maintenance contract but I HAVE NOT contracted w/Griffith for services. Repeated attempts to stop billing me have gone unanswered. I spoke with a cust ser rep once. All other contact attempts were via voicemail left by me or the "contact us" link on line, all to no avail. Griffith has yet to contact me to resolve this. Any assistance you are able to provide would be approciated.

Griffith Energy Services February 10, 2022 - Griffith claimed to delivering 82.10 gallons of oil

February 10, 2022 - Griffith claimed to delivering 82.10 gallons of oil. I have not used the oil furnace since the winter of 2021, my heat pump was able to keep my home at a comfortable temperature. I have been on the budget plan for years and have carried a credit balance for more than two years. (They are supposed to reevaluate oil usage annually and adjust as needed. As my transaction history shows the adjustments, they made were not consistent with the actual oil usage.) When I contacted them about the discrepancy, I was told their drivers are geo-located and that their driver was indeed at my location on the day in question. I contend that the driver probably did come to my address that day, however it would be impossible for him to pump 82 gallons into my already full oil tank. I believe the driver sold oil to someone on the side, pocketing the cash and charging the delivery to me to cover the decrease of oil in his truck. On April 11, 2022, I called Griffith Customer Service and told them to close my account. Asking them to send me a refund of the current credit balance on my account. I was told I would receive it within 6 - 8 weeks. On June 27, 9 weeks later, I called asking where the refund was, I was told they would check on it and get back to me. July 1, I reached back out to them, I was told they are changing systems and they would get back to me. It is now July 14th and I have not received any communication from them or a refund. I am so very disappointed that a company that I have been a loyal customer of, for over 25 years would treat me like this.

Griffith Energy delivered 300 gallons of heating oil on Mar 14 after our annual oil delivery contract had expired on Jan 9, 2022. I had previously notified a Griffith customer service rep on or about Dec 15, 2021 that I wanted my last delivery under the contract price before Dec 31 and did not want any additional deliveries after the contract expired. They delivered anyway at the enormous price of $5.50 per gallon, well above the current market price. I have requested that Griffith remove the delivered 300 gallons from my tank, but they have refused and stated that would send the invoice to collection agency if I don't pay.

Griffith Energy Services I receive heating oil delivery from this company

I receive heating oil delivery from this company. Over the last 6 weeks, i have watched the gage on the tank continuously decline. On Tuesday it finally hit empty and i called to ask why it was not filled up. Griffith claims that they filled up the tank on January 15th. However they did not leave any receipt/ticket at the door and the gage never rose up. After calling them, they ame and filled up the tank with 199 gallons. This is more than our house have ever used in an entire month, but they insist that we used it all in less than 2 weeks, despite our gage telling us otherwise and us never having seen the delivery truck arrive on the 15th. We both work from home and were also at home in quarantine on that day. I called to question it and they refused to even look into it. I asked to cancel our account, but they said that they will not allow us to close the account until we pay in full for the delivery that they never made on the 15th. Our house has never needed this quantity of oil in a month, but they insist that we used it in two weeks. Looking back at 8 years of data, that is obviously not possible. They also claim that our gage must be broken, however when the delivery actually arrived yesterday, i watched it operate smoothly while the tank was being filled. In addition, we just discovered that they have been over-charging us for heating oil and services this entire time. All of their local competitors are currently charging around $3.30 per gallon while they have been charging us $4.65. Their annual service coverage has been $485, while their competitors charge between $189 and 289.

Griffith Energy Services In January I signed up with Griffith Energy Services to deliver fuel oil on an automatic basis in early January 2022

In January I signed up with Griffith Energy Services to deliver fuel oil on an automatic basis in early January 2022. Based on a price protection offer: Griffith Energy Services, Inc. Price Protection Offer Account: 4*** Name: *JEFFREY *** Plan Description: Cap Price Plan One-time Plan Fee: $0.00 Additional Offers: Price per Gallon: $3.289 Maximum Gallons: 800 Expiration Date: 12/31/22 Unfortunately, Griffith Energy Services has not made an automatic delivery since 2/25/2022, and our oil tank (needed for hot water) has run dry. I called their emergency services for a fuel oil delivery on Saturday June 25th 2022 and they delivered 10 gallons gratis. I have since scheduled a fuel oil delivery and have heard nothing back from them. I understand that no one could have predicted the Russian invasion of Ukraine would have sent so many shocks through the oil markets that oil is now 5.081 as of 3/28/2022, source: ***; however, they are obviously failing to deliver because they are losing money on the proposition, when they should have delivered a few times between February 25th and now. Our tank has now run dry again. I have a 7 year old and an 81 year old living with me who need to shower in warm water. My wife also needs warm water to shower. Given that I am a U.S. Army veteran who has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, I have learned to shower with cold water, but it is quite uncomfortable, now that I am living in the United States of America. Griffith Energy Services should honor their contract with me and deliver heating oil.

Griffith Energy Services I had a oil delivery on January 11,2022 at the same time I had the oil delivery I had the oil primed at the same time they were both there at

I had a oil delivery on January 11,2022 at the same time I had the oil delivery I had the oil primed at the same time they were both there at the same time which was great. Because when you're oil tank is empty it has to be primed. Ok so it worked that night then the next day my furnace was coming on and off. So I called someone came out said it needed a part it would be a week. So the next week guy comes out tried to put on the part says it's still not working I need a new unit. I can't afford a new unit I'm a recent widow with two girls. So I have to wait till I get tax money. So my furnace is still broke. So on February 11,2022 they say they delivered 250 gallons yo my tank which they couldn't have because I was never able to use the first 250 gallons cause it's broke. We've been freezing all winter using space heaters. Anyway no one at Griffith will listen to me. Also I have the ring camera in my yard the guy comes walking through my yard with the sales slip and hose already in hand. Now how does he know exactly how much I need? Cause the slip says he sold me 250 gallons how does he know before he even walks up to my tank and has the slip ready? There's no way it's gonna be exactly that amount on the dot. I've never even used the first amount because my furnace is broken and still broken. Also every time I'm on empty I need a prime so it doesn't make sense. Also the oil guy was only in my yard for four minutes. I can send the ring camera footage. All the company says is well gps shows he was in youre area. Yes I'm not saying he wasn't I'm saying he didn't fill my tank cause it hasn't been ran. Believe me I wish it was. I've been freezing through snow and 18 degree weather. I've never had a problem paying for something I've gotten I've dealt with pugs oil for years. Griffin had a sale so I tried them. Big mistake. Don't trust these sleezy company. *** I'm going to legal aide

Griffith deliverered oil without my permisiion on 12/31 (obviously trying to inflate theor accounts recievables for year end) because I did not ask them to come. I had even already hired another company back in the summer for my delivery when I almost ran out of oil. Griffith had only the 1st delivery on that had my permission. They sent me a bill in January, and I had also gotten a letter saying there was a credit on my address. I sent the bill back asking for the credit to be applied 3x. They sent me bills and letter threatening collections. I have called and emailed repeatedly asking for this to be corrected and to ensure they do not tresspass again. They continue not to respond, but I just got what appears to be a final letter about to send me to collections. This is harrassment, and is their error. All they have to do is apply the credit... a simple book keeping entry. This behavior by this business is unprofessional on all levels. I did not ask for this delivery, and now I m having to sped all this time and enery trying to correct it. I am recovering from long covid and this additional stress is detrimentatl to me. I want this to be remidied immediately. I have emailed the bills statements back with this note, I have called, and emailed on several occasions. The last manager Ganette finally reached out then failed to follow through yet again when I responded. This is all simply absurd, and I am tired of it. I have been dealing with this for 4 months now, they have tresspassed, and harassed, and threated me when I have not asked for any of this oil. Technically they would owe me back the money from the origional delivert and only permitted delivery in 3/21 if the full credit is applied. However, If this can be rectified by 5/1/22, I am willing to settle for them to just stop all communication, do not enter my property with out my direct permisision, and just zero out the account with them that I dont even want. Griffith Energy Services On 27AUG2021 I had an inspection performed by a technician from Griffith Energy to identify why my AC System was not functioning

On 27AUG2021 I had an inspection performed by a technician from Griffith Energy to identify why my AC System was not functioning. Shortly after the tech left I was called by Griffith, and was informed the part would be about $1000. I gave the go ahead to order the part as it was not immediately available, which was a severe inconvenience. The part Monday and install was set for Wednesday, 1 SEPT. Due to reasons, my office was closed. I arrived back home shortly before 0930 to find that the tech had not arrived and that the individual I asked to be present for the work was leaving since they did not show on time (8-9AM). I called the Griffith office to be told that he was in-route and would be there shortly. Thirty minutes later, 10AM, he finally showed up. He began his work and by 1045 he came down from the attic to tell me that the wrong part had been ordered ( A 1HP motor, which is on the invoice, instead of the 1/2HP that is required) and he needed to go to "the warehouse" to see if the correct one was in stock. At 11 he departed and he returned at 12. By 1PM he finished the work and provided me with an invoice to sign. I asked if the part number on the invoice was the same as the part installed, but it was not and I was told a new invoice would be provided with the correct information and price adjustment once he got back to the office. I never received a new invoice and I have called multiple times to attempt to acquire one, during which calls I have been told a number of inconsistent and outright false information. They assured me the correct part was ordered every time and refused to provide quotes for the parts, stating they charge by job, not by parts. The only Carrier site, which they use, I can find for quotes is vendor locked as well. I also inquired as to their labor rate and was denied that info as well. The parts are not the same cost and I believe they are charging me for all three hours, but I cannot verify that without a proper invoice.

Griffith Energy Services This started long ago before I knew my husband

This started long ago before I knew my husband. He developed a disease that left him partially paralyzed on the right side of his arm. however he had been dealing with Griffith Energy cause they had a notice for a discount for farm bureau members and was just to lazy to check out others. That is needless neither here or there. This company first did a horrid job with finishing a job installing tanks for propane. complans and lies were flying back and forth. Next, we have a service plan for the oil heater. The alleged technician came out in Nov. to service our previously running without a problem ,oil burner furnace. As he did he replaced the filter and he also took off the check valve ( which keeps the oil in the line). He replaced a filter and allegedly repaired the line but did not replace the valve., When the temperatures got cold the problems started with oil smells and the furnace not working becacuse it was not getting enough oil. this happened and we called for service once in dec., 3 times in jan, 2 times in feb and they replaced at a cost to us of 600. though they never quoted a price and at first claim electrodes were the culprit. we also call a company and they say horrid mistakes)once in march and than once after they replaced the whole unit with a new on and the same problem,( they found the problem of the check valve and replaced it with the one they took out.) of it not starting cause there was no oil to it. the last call to them on april 5th was because the electric went out and the furnace would not restart when the electric came on. (note we have had numerous power failures down here but this was the first with the new equipment so evidentially they did not program it correctly when installed) Getting to talk to a supervisor is extremely hard. I also had a question on billing when they sent to bill on tow date in April and then sent a due upon reciept before those date. I go into my pnc account within two days and pay them on due dates.

Griffith Energy Services In the early hours of 1/16/2022 we ran out of oil though we are supposed to get automatic delivery

In the early hours of 1/16/2022 we ran out of oil though we are supposed to get automatic delivery. We have been with Griffith for at least 21 years and this has never happened. They always fill it in plenty of time. Because of that, we just assumed that would happen this year. We woke up on a 14 degree norning with it 52 degrees in our house and a snowstorm on the way. I tried calling Griffith. I had to leave a message. The first message was left at about 10:45AM. No return call. I left 4 more messages and I also left a request to be called online. No return call until 2:59 pm when somebody finally called back. The person said somebody would be out that day with a few gallons of oil and to reset our furnace with a full tank to arrive today. My husband went and bought $158.91 worth of space heaters so that we wouldn't freeze. Nobody came yesterday. We got the house up to 58 degrees and went to bed. It is now 11:45AM 1/17/2022 and I've been assured somebody will come out with oil. Not sure I can believe them. I am furious and cold. It has been at least 30 hours since we ran out of oil and more than 24 hours since I first called to say we have no heat and no oil. That is unacceptable. What is also unacceptable is the lack of communication. An emergency ticket was placed at 11AM yesterday, but nobody called to tell me that had happed. So I spent 4 hours not knowing anybody had actually gotten my messages. Additionally, nobody called last evening to say, "I'm sorry but we are not going to make it out there this evening due to the storm." So I wake up this morning and have to start the calling all over again. Of course I had to leave a message. Miraculously, I got somebody on the phone by 10:45, but not because they called me. I am irate AND cold and wondering whatever happened to Griffith's good customer service. I will add that the two people I have actually spoken to were kind and apologetic, but kind and apologetic does not warm up our oil-less freezing house.

Griffith Energy Services Message to Complaints & Scams: I have been with Griffith oil for over 18 years, maintain a Gold Service plan and pay on time

Message to Complaints & Scams: I have been with Griffith oil for over 18 years, maintain a Gold Service plan and pay on time. Over the past year the service has gotten increasingly WORST. Last year I purchased a new oil tank from them, since then it's been a nightmare. The furnace was constantly going off. A number of service people came. It turned out that water in the tank was the main problem which they tried to attribute to the location of the tank. However the new tank was placed in the same location under the same condition s and the previous tank that had been there over 15 years, then they said various parts of the system was the problem, or that the low temperature caused the oil to thicken this clogging the line. The service person suggested I buy an electrical device to heat the line which I did. In addition I have had to pay nearly a thousand dollars to have water removed from the tank. After much complaining Griffith agreed to pay a small portion of the cost for this but they turn around and charged me over $400 in service fees that they said was not covered by my Gold plan. When I have consistently tried to get resolution I get no call backs for over 3 weeks. When I finally got billing, I was turned over to a man who told me curtly that the things I questioned were not cover by the gold plan but he failed to address my complaint that I had no water in my tank issues until I got the new tank. I told him that I have reached my limit with the company and would be closing my account. I asked what was my remaining balance. I was told that I owe $778 which included the service charges. I ask to have this information emailed to me because they always email my receipts of payment. Needless to say I have not received any emails of my final payment. I want this email to verify what I owe and that someone else will tell me a different amount later. I truly feel betrayed by the treatment from a company that I have been a consistent and reliable customer with a

Griffith Energy Services Offerred a "free" program, but illicitly signed me up for payments without my knowledge and consent

Offerred a "free" program, but illicitly signed me up for payments without my knowledge and consent. Griffith Energy Services engaged in dishonest, misleading, predatory practices and made unauthorised charges of $379.95 from Griffith Energy account into which I pay $150 monthly year round. Without my knowledge and consent, Griffith Energy has "automatically" signed me up for a "Gold member service plan" for which I was charged $379.95 (invoice # ***). Their online billing record is purposefully confusing and transactions appear and disappear at the will of Griffith Energy. I checked online billing in the fall and the transaction did not show. Also transactions are purposefully misleading between the monthly charges, oil deliveries, fees, nowhere on their online personal account it is noted that I was a "Gold member" or that the charges were because I was a "Gold member". For many months I was unaware that I was a Gold member at all until Griffith Energy made an additional unauthorised charge of $389.95 (invoice # ***). In between these transactions I was called and asked to schedule a "Courtesy furnace check". I was surprised by the number of calls I received (6) to ensure that I do indeed schedule this "Courtesy visit". I specifically asked if this visit is free and I was reassured by a firm "Yes" followed by "It is because you are our customer, we do this for all customers". I scheduled the visit because I thought it was free, a Griffith Energy representative spent 2 minutes at my house and left claiming that my furnace is clean and there was nothing to do. I called Griffith Energy, told them I never elected to be a Gold member but was "made" one against my knowledge and will and their reply was "We signed you up automatically because the previous owner who was living in the house where you currently reside was a Gold member". When I asked for a refund of the money for the service I never elected, for which I never authorised payment and was forced on me, their reply was "You had a furnace check" therefore we cannot refund you the money. Griffith Energy tells blatant lies meant to mislead customers for the purpose of trapping them into a situation they never elected and thus illicitly extorting large sums of money.

Griffith Energy Services HVAC system was improperly installed, causing damage to my house 5 months ago

HVAC system was improperly installed, causing damage to my house 5 months ago. Despite multiple assurances I have not been paid and no one calls back. Griffith had a subcontractor install a new HVAC system in my home. During the first stretch of warm weather with the new system, the new air handler they installed in the attic produced so much water that it overflowed the pan and destroyed my living room ceiling. I discovered this when water started pouring through a hole that broke through my ceiling in June. I contacted *** and they sent people out to inspect and were literally angry with how bad the job was that was done by the subcontractor. The unit was not properly leveled, which prevented the water from draining properly, clips that stabilize the air handler were just left in a package on top of the unit, and the kill switch that should have shut off the whole HVAC system before the pan overflowed was faulty. Since June, *** repeatedly pushed me off on getting this repaired. It took until mid-August for Dana *** to come look at the house. When he did, he said he would have his construction guy come out for an estimate "possibly even tomorrow." I didn't hear from him for 5 weeks. When I called to ask for the status, I was told lies about how busy the construction guy was as the excuse but magically he was now free any day the following week. When this guy came out (much later than the end of a typically work day because Dana told him to go whenever) he said he would write up an estimate and get it to Dana within a week. That was September 21st. I have spent the 5 weeks since then calling Dana for an update. Although he was fairly available before, I am now told he is out of the office every time I call and he has not once called me back. Last week he finally told the subcontractor who did the work that they need to pay, which they're very upset about because they didn't even know there was a problem. I consented to the subcontractor's request to see the house (the 5th visit by someone to look at the damage) but he no showed and now has suddenly disappeared just like Dana - hasn't called and doesn't return my calls without explanation. My contract is with Griffith. Griffith through this multiple layer subcontracting has not delivered me a quality product. I've been living with a hole in the ceiling and mold all over the ceiling for 5 months so far in a house I just bought. It's been such a painful and long process trying to get these companies just to do the right thing. I'm worried about the health implications of the mold and just want to force people who don't have it in them to do the right thing to pay to fix the damage.

Griffith Energy Services I have been without AC for nearly 3 weeks

I have been without AC for nearly 3 weeks. A special order part was needed but was not communicated to me from the beginning. NO COMMUNICATION. I called the evening of Wednesday July 29th that the AC was not working and got the call center. I was expecting at least a call back that night and no one called. It was 86 degrees in the house. I had to call again in the morning because they still hadn't called and finally got service to come out that afternoon. The tech's said they had to order a new motor for the blower and would get back to me by the end of the day with a price and when they could have it by. Again, no phone call. I had to call again Friday morning to find out what was going on. Finally got a call from the tech who said he found the part but it was out of state (never said it was a special order from the manufacturer). He said he paid to have it expedited but didn't know when it would get there due to shipping delays with Covid. Called again on Monday August 3rd several times - continuing to get the call center with no return phone call. On Tuesday I had a family member contact someone they knew who works there and found out that the part was ordered and was due in sometime that week and that they scheduled me for service on Friday August 7th (10 days without AC). Again no one directly involved in my service has called me I had to find someone else to give me answers. I called all week but never got a phone call back. Finally heard from them on Friday morning and was told the part was due in that day and the tech would call me 30 minutes before they came. I said I was available anytime and they could come whenever! Never heard another word. I called back that afternoon and again no return phone call! By Wed August 12th I called (I could not believe that no one had called by then!) Finally got a call back that day and it was the first time I was told that this was a special order part directly from the manufacturer. They indicated that it was scheduled to be delivered to them on August 18th. They decided to try a universal part in hopes that that would work. They came out that day and tried and that did not work. So I have no option other than to wait until this part comes in. I tried to call again yesterday August 18th - the day I was told the part was supposed to come in and finally did get Linda on the phone who tried to explain the situation but really had no answers. I have no idea right now if the part was actually ordered from the start or was just ordered last week when they realized the other part wouldn't work. Linda said she would have LaShawn who is the Lead dispatcher and the person who talked to the supplier directly call me back to answer my questions. And of course - no phone call yet again today! I have not had AC for now 22 days! It is August and has been over 90 degrees most days. My house is not livable. The lack of communication and real answers is beyond frustrating. Stringing me along and not letting me know what is going on is unacceptable. Once this is fixed I will obviously be changing fuel suppliers.

Griffith Energy Services Griffith Oil illicity withheld about 400$ from my refund

Griffith Oil illicity withheld about 400$ from my refund. Griffith Energy Account # *** RE: Complaintsboard.comureau Case #***1 On 12/10 Mr. Kevin S from Griffith Energy agreed to refund 379.95$ because of fraudulent charges Griffith has made by misrepresenting services as free and later charging me 379.95 (See case record attached) The refund has been made at that date and I thought the case was settled. On February 25 I made a request for a refund of the amount in my account which showed as $799.16 (See screenshot attached). I was told it would take 4 weeks for the check to arrive. This amount was a result of: The refund referenced in Complaintsboard.comureau case *** (I was charged 379.95 to be a part of a Gold Member Plan without my knowledge and consent in 2019) A previous refund (I was charged 379.95 again to be a part of the Gold Member Service Plan without my knowledge and consent in 2020) Payments I made previously of 150/month into the account During all my communications with Griffith Energy Services I made it abundantly clear that I DO NOT WANT to be part of their Gold Member Plan. On March 22 I called Griffith Energy to ask about my refund and I was told the check was mailed on March 19. As of March 26, a Friday, as I am filing this complaint I am still not in receipt of my check. I called Griffith Energy Services today March 26 and I was told: - The check would take 6 weeks to arrive when previously I was told 4 weeks. - That my refund would only be 401.29 because I was charged 389.95 for the Gold Plan Member Services. - That I was actually not refunded the amount cited in Complaintsboard.comureau complaint Case #***1 Griffith Energy Services - Promised to refund fraudulent charges referenced in Case #***1, went through with their promise until March 22 when they reversed it. They did not follow through with their promise of a refund after the Complaintsboard.comureau Case showed as being Resolved and Closed. - Illicitly charged me AGAIN $389.95 when without my knowledge and consent they "made me" part of their Gold Member Plan for the third time when I explicitly made it clear that I do not want to be part of it. This was made clear on all platforms including the Complaintsboard.comureau website. - Withheld my money for no legitimate reason for 4 weeks and as of today March 26, I am still not sure when I will receive it. - Manipulated the information on my account of their website to justify illicitly taking $389.95 from my account. Please see the screenshot of the financial information on my account on February 25 and March 26 with regards to transactions that happened before February 25. Why would these transactions change when there was no activity in my account? I would like Griffith Energy services to refund the amount of 799.16 $ that was in my account before they made all fraudulent charges by forcing me to be a part of the Gold Member Plan without my knowledge and consent 3 times. I would like Griffith Energy to refund my money within 2 days of receiving this complaint. I already waited more than 1 month for my refund.

Griffith Energy Services Negligence: failed to complete promised service call, resulting in customer requiring medical care

Negligence: failed to complete promised service call, resulting in customer requiring medical care. Service techs unable to fix issue. Unresponsive. I have a Gold Service Plan with Griffith Energy, which advertises 24/7 service & states "should your system need repair, you can count on prompt service." 7/20: Griffith did annual tune-up. 2/17: Unit vibrating, loud thumping noises; oil smell near unit. Checked unit, tank, & line for leaks. Noticed fumes permeating home, so turned unit off at the switch. Called Griffith @ 6:54 PM, explained no heat & vibrating & fumes. Staff said someone would be out soon, probably within 1.5 hours. I asked if it was safe to stay in the home & reply was yes, as long as unit was off. Said asked supervisor, who said I could have left the unit run and the problem would have stopped; should let it run next time. 3.5 hrs later, no tech, windows open to disperse fumes. Two more calls to them over next several hours, said the tech would be out & that tech confirmed he got request. Finally asked for a manager due to no heat. Rude on-call staff said this wasn't possible, but finally connected me to a manager, who said he would personally call the tech to come out tonight. Around midnight, call from manager that he could not reach tech, now not sure if he is coming. He did not come. 2/18: Awoke with sore throat, hoarse voice, cough, nausea & headache. Called Griffith, requested call from service manager. CL called & I described situation, symptoms, & that if Griffith had not kept telling me someone was coming last night I would have left the house because of no heat. Called PCP about symptoms, sent me to ER for testing. At ER, diagnosed with Toxic Inhalation; Exposure to Chemical Inhalation. Spoke with CL, asked for a refund on service policy & help with paying medical bill, since I would have left the house if they hadn't said tech was coming to fix unit. CL said he would see what was possible. Tech came out, said spray nozzle was malfunctioning & he replaced it. 2/19: PCP confirmed diagnosis, started treatment. 2/21: No heat, burner making similar noise and vibrating. Tech came out, said chamber dirty and cleaned it. 4 hrs later (6:00 PM), no heat, same issue, called Griffith. Was told they weren't sure someone could come out today. Sent text to CL. Hours later, tech came and said pump was bad, will order parts and someone will come tomorrow to install them. 2/22: Called Griffith. Staff said they thought issue had been resolved & no order for parts had been placed. Called & texted CL, who said his assistant, L would have all trucks searched for parts and that she would call me with status. Asked about refund, medical bill help, CL said to call JH. Spoke with JH, who said he would see what they could do re: refund & medical bill help & would call me back. No call from L, no call from JH. 2/23: sent text to CL asking that someone be assigned to help resolve things; no reply. 2/24: called Griffith at 9:39 AM, 11:54 AM, 4:01 PM, 6:07 PM, 6:43 PM. Finally, (3 days without heat in February), tech came and replaced parts. Both techs said they don't often see a unit like mine. 2/26: Illness worse; saw PCP, prescribed stronger meds. for violent coughing, sore throat. Treated by PCP for toxic effect of exposure from 2/19 until symptoms gone, 4/13. Throughout, missed time from work. Medical issues better, so called JH 4/23, 4/24, 4/27, 4/28, 4/29, 5/5 about refund, medical bill help. No call back. 4/29 & 5/5: Texted CL for help; no help. Unit still vibrating, making noise, smell of oil near unit. Turned unit off in worry. 5/6: texted CL re: I'm filing a complaint & finally got call back. Asked me to send documentation & what I'm asking. Emailed documentation & request. 5/7 & 5/8: texted CL asking if he received email. No reply. 5/7: Company that installed unit came, said whoever serviced it set oxygen level too high (instead of 6, to over 9), which caused the issues & also caused the burner to use way more oil than should have. So, on top of everything else, I was also buying more oil from Griffith due to their "service."
