To whom it may concern,
My wife and I have been loyal shoppers at your 2601-A Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, NC location for 24+ years. Last night my wife was shopping in your store when she received a message that her mother had nearly died from a blood clot in her lungs. My wife was extremely upset and asked me to come get her and take her home. We left her car in your parking lot planning to retrieve it 12 hours later. When we returned to retrieve her car, your store manager had had it towed. We tracked it down to find out it would cost us $200 cash to get it back.
I am beyond enraged at this action to loyal customers of over 20 years. We spend in excess of $15,000 yearly at your business and for twenty years your store has let customers park not only in the lot overnight but in the emergency fire lane which is against the law. There is not a single sign anywhere on the property that says, "No overnight parking" or "Towed at owner's expense".
In short, I don't think we will be giving your stores our patronage in the future, and I hope you personally thank the manager of this store for the loss of loyal customers. I will be telling everyone we know of this heinous act perpetrated against us.
I sincerely hope going forward that your company will inform your customers of policy changes prior to sticking them with an enormous financial strain, especially since most of your customers are of the low to middle income level.
Sincerely,
Chris Tennant

Claimed loss: $200 towing fee!!

Desired outcome: Just treat your 24+ yr. customers with the same respect and courtesy as the police - give motorist days to get vehicles before towing, not hours.
