I am a semi retired professional and live very close to this Food Basics hence, it is a convenient walk just to get out of the house and I generally go 2 - 3 times a week. I have noticed over the last 2 years that at least one item on my shopping list is out of stock every time I go. Whether it is chocolate milk, Nestles Hazelnut coffee cream, Almond milk, Firm Manderin Tofu, Glen Abbey egg buns or what have you, it is always something. Today it was Kellogg's Bran Buds. I always get the flimsiest excuses including Food Basics head office forgot the order, it should be on the next truck - etc. When I ask them if they could check in the back, they either flatly refuse or they walk quickly in, turn around and come back 4 seconds later saying they checked (right!!!). They are also some of the rudest and least helpful"customer service" people I have ever met. I only go to get some exercise but more and more, I tend to have to get into a car and go elsewhere to a competitor to obtain the items I want. What I do not understand is that my items which are not in stock are obviously more in demand that the other items which are plentiful as nobody wants them. Has food Basics not heard of supply and demand? There is a senior's home right across the street and it must be very inconvenient for them when they cannot get what they need
