Concerning Fitness Evolution in Uptown. I cancelled my membership in
January for reasons other than customer service. After cancelling, I
received a bill in Feb. and March. Again, I called to ask why I was still
receiving bills after I cancelled. I was informed that I had signed a year
contract (I was not aware of that or else I would not have signed an
agreement) and that I would have to get billed until my contract was up.
In the meantime, I never attended the gym b-c I thought my membership had
been cancelled. I was informed that after the year the contract ended, in
March, that I would not be billed again. To be sure, I stated in my phone
converstation that I would not get billed in April. This was confirmed.
Lo and behold, in April I get billed AGAIN! I called the gym to find out
what was going on-my job is not to hound down a gym whose membership I
cancelled three months prior- and the owner said that I was handling the
situation wrong and basically not being very nice. Boo hoo. Deal with it,
especially if you're the owner. On a seperate note, while still an
'eternal member', I called to use my supposed 'free' personal training
session. I called twice to set up an appt. and no one ever responded back
to me. Horrible customer service, not worth it!

    Same here in Canada, It's like you never allowed to cancel your membership, it is a nightmare, they want you to pay all outstanding before they will cancel, i am not paying and will never pay even if you'll charge me for your life. They transferred from Gold Gym to Evolution Gym without asking my consent. I haven't gone for tow years now and every time they send me an invoice for new month. I guess they are crazy!!!

    I am also a victim of this gym's tactics and horrible customer service. I am in a "no contract" yet trying to cancel has been a nightmare!!! The manager, Chelsea gave me the wrong email address, said there was no corporate number, yet another gym gave me the number! I just got debited for the month and are being told I need to pay another months dues before I can cancel. The facility on Meridian and Foxworthy is dirty, bathrooms are filthy and half of their machines don't work

    My Name is S. L. Yarbrough ( Susan) [protected] add: 41 Sea Point Way Pittsburg, Ca. 94565 ******TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN... I am a true victim of your establishment ... I was not given a form to fill out although i ask for one to feel out, the elderly woman insisted that i tell her my information so that she can transcribe...NOW i am in collections because no one from the Antioch office mailed me anything about my delinquent bill ... My checking information is correct and phone number is was transposed wrong... the number you all have is [protected] my correct number is [protected] ) I should have know this place would screw me because I got a call stating that my routing number is wrong for some odd reason she this older woman didn't believe my check and wrote down some generic number your company had for my check. so I got that straight and I'm all good I think. My brother became ill so I went to Fresno to help out thinking I have a membership knowing that you take a balloon fee in June or July...I'm thinking I have a gym...but I receive a phone call for collections. Now they say they have the wrong number but collection calling me and I not one time received a letter stating that I have a problem. I believe you all tricked me and set my up for failure to pay so that you can put me in collections.
