I lost my job today. It was set to begin Monday September 22, 2025 I received an email to schedule my drug screen and shortly after on September 4 I submitted the urinalysis. Monday September 15 the MRO calls me to say I have failed the test and need to provide a list of medication I take. I advised her that I would need some time to do so because I was recently hospitalized and would need to obtain records for those medications as well. She assured me it was not a problem. I emailed her the following day 916 with a list of medication that was administered by the hospital. I called to speak with her and was told I would not be allowed to. The representative said the test was positive and results were sent to my company. The medication in question was justified with the hospital records I obtained and sent on 9/16. Today 9/17 I was terminated for the failed drug test I’m outraged, upset, disappointed and devastated. This was my career job I had always wanted. If the MRO could have waited a single day for me to send my complete medication list I would be going to work Monday. The drug I tested positive for was Oxazepam. I had never heard of it before. I thought there has to be a mistake. After tireless research and consultation I have learned that Oxazepam metabolizes in the body after use of Diazepam. Diazepam was given to me in the hospital in a large amount explaining the Oxazepam in my urinalysis. I’m at a loss.
Desired outcome: It doesn’t matter anymore. I was terminated.

After a botched drug screen I now have to send a check or money order via mail for $150 to the testing site for a reanalysis. I can decide to buy groceries for a few days or pay the money. Such a burden for someone who is trying to get a job and a drop in the ocean for a global company. It almost seems to be a deterrent.
