EVONY.COM is a joke! They are owned by Regan Mercantile LLC out of New York. This company takes and takes and takes money from you by luring you into purchasing gaming packages and then deletes your account with no notice. Isn't it odd that the people who are abusing the game and Terms of Service are not getting deleted, but those of us who play fairly, get their account deleted for no reason. I have already filed a BBB complaint. If you have been ripped off by Evony make sure you go to BBB.org and file a complaint, again the name of the company that owns EVONY.COM is REGAN MERCANTILE US, LLC'. They are NOT accredited with the BBB, maybe after thousands of dollars in BBB complaints they will learn to play fair and stop ripping people off.

If you are interested in being part of a class action lawsuit respond to this post and I will be forwarding this over to a lawyer who specializes in Class Action Lawsuits.

Did you ever contact a CAL attorney? Is there a pending case already? I’ve been over charged in the insane amount of over $3000 after purchasing a single $99 package. Evony MUST be sued to the 10th degree.

I would love to see Evony made to answer. Since day 1 all they have done is run that stupid marque which claims no cheating and no bots allowed. Players doing so will be banned. Yet how many years later, and the bots are worse now than they ever were. The multi-accounts are out rageous. Yet unfortunately the sad truth is because of Evony's refusal to remove the bots and refusal to remove the multi-accounts, the only way to play is to bot and multi-account.

I wouldn't mind the bots and multi-accounts if Evony would for once just come clean and say hey, it's beyond our control so to put everyone on a even playing ground we will allow both. But they don't, they might punish one or two, but there are still 100's more remaining. If there reasons for refusing to delete them is $ then again make it a level playing field and just say everyone can bot. Otherwise they need to follow their own TOS and not just against a small handful of players but everyone that violates those terms.

I also would be interested in joining a class action lawsuit. We watch people violate TOS daily and Evony allows it. Then they wait until you spend $180 on an account and ban you without notice or explanation. Multiple messages over 5 days have gone completely unanswered. If I did violate a TOS shouldn't I have been notified? How can a company do this and get away with it while still taking money from people? This has scam written all over it. Then not to be able to contact a single person that works there to answer a question should be against the law. You can take people's money then vanish? As no reply to me means they know they robbed me and have nothing to say.

My accoutn was closed becuase they say its not me o the account. I have been complaining about a malicios player who has wrecked havoc using four accoutn to sent teeny attacks that take days from 4 different accounts. This is a violtion that they refuse to do anything abotu and even refused to asnwer. I pushed and pushed so tonight they closed my accoutn even though i spend hundreds on the chest hundreds that btw go offshore. Add me to this they need fixed

Rowley, Consumer protection act is the key. My att. say that buy them excepting our money they understand that we own the account. unless we do something illegal. much like leasing a car sure they hold the title per-say but we have the rights. So the breach of contract isn't ours it is there's. Hence any reference they give to banning is just a scare tactic of bullying after they except payment. They should have worded the contract like you would a rental agreement. I haven't yet given my Att the name of the company I black it out when i sent the rules to him. but he is salivating. He suggests everyone send the Attorney General of their home states a letter. And name Facebook as the window to this game. Also there is the whole Privecy act. the fact that there admitting to spying on people useing there IP address is great for us. what else they looking at. are they gathering Info on what banks you use? There's a whole host of things they can be doing with that. Run that buy you class action Guy

Bret I notice in your email from them it says "any items delivered and used" the items may have been delivered but you dont have access to them so you have no way of knowing whether they were in fact delivered so therefore they must remain unused? as did the coins and items remaining on my account which are now lost to me.
I did have some sucess claiming back $40 through paypal which they refused to respond to on my sons account but as it was only allowed claim for 45 days preceding dispute I lost everything on my own account.
Evony are little more than common thieves who justify their theft with claims of cheating that even they themselves cannot back up with any modicum of proof.

My responce: So your stealing all the money I have on my account now and all the money I have put on it in the past. Not to mention all of the countless hours I have spent building the account. I want a refund if I do not hear from you in short order I will pursue legal action.

MY respoce they have not answered as of yet: The fraud is the fact that you never say the account will be taken away. You say it is not allowed. You never say that all your money will be kept once again you say not allowed. You also say it is ok for someone to log in and account set But now you arnt allowing that even. So the fraud is this. You want to close down this server and get the people to move to another server where they have to start over. And once again spend thousands of dollars doing this. I am now in the process of figuring out how much I spent and on what cards it was on. First I will dispute the charges. Amex, visa, master card then pay pal will all be named in the law suit along with Facebook and Evony this is your last chance give it back and go after the people who don't play the game any more and allow us that do to at it the way we feel it should be played. If you think that no one on the server plays just one account. And feeds and army that eats a half a bill food am hour then your not very good at what you do. So the pure fact that you have let people do this for 2 years or more sets president that it is allowed. And that now you tring to just cut server maintenance cost.

Im back again, I had my account reinstated after I tried reclaiming my money on paypal, but could only put in claim for moneys spent over the last 45 days preceding my claim. All went well for 2 months got my account up and running again after losing so much during my suspension to refuge. In April I suffered further suspension, this time my son lost two of his accounts on different servers, Ive tried explaining to them we are a family who play together, apparently if you play 2 servers with different email addresses that constitutes multi accounting even if one is played on one server and one on another and neither logs into each others. We again gained control of 4 out of the 6 accounts played in this house after about a week of suspension. I should explain also that when we all first started playing we notified Evony in the beginning that we were a family playing together and as such there would be multiple logs from same ip. Again we recovered accounts from losses due to refuge and we were "1 man down" in regards family play. In June this year we again suffered further suspension with claims of multi accounting and this time using third party software, only this time my own and my other sons account were permanently banned, there are at least $8000 remaining on my account in unused items and coins, I have asked that it be refunded to my paypal account of which they have details because they have also been checking that out, they refuse saying I broke rules and forfeit anything of value on the account, with my sons account they outright ignored him refusing to even reply to his verification mail let alone the several other mails he sent to them requesting information as to why he had been banned and why they were not replying.
In the end he contacted CSR Thantium through their help spot and was told he must reply to the mail asking for verification, he did this and again no answer, this happened quite a few times with Thantium calling him a liar saying he was not replying so he then sent copies of all his replies to Thantium, all went quiet, My son had recently purchased cents on his account so I again filed a dispute with paypal, suddenly Evony wakes up and decides to reply to him telling him if he closes the dispute with paypal then they will "look into" him having his account back, I have refused to close the dispute.
During all this to-ing and fro-ing, my son has been asked for his real name and age, as he is a minor I mailed them and pointed out that he was a minor and as such would not be answering their questions if they wanted to ask those sort of questions they should be directed to me. I was then sent a mail saying they could not discuss another players account.
I have since found part of their privacy policy which states
"For persons in European Union countries, as used herein, terms such as “personal information” refer to “personal data” as defined by the Directive 95/46/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 October 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“Directive”). Evony will not collect any personal data from you at any time. "
I am a citizen of an EU country, I have had my ip address monitored, I have had my payments traced, my ip address has been stored with Evony for monitoring purposes, my son has been asked for personal information, I have been asked to supply them with email addresses for those who play at this address and they have "flagged" those.
I have been playing for 3 years and only ammassed a "small" account which in no way would be like that had I botted the account as they claim.
During this last suspension/banning mine and my sons accounts have been completely destroyed so now I have nothing to lose by following my dispute withn paypal through, out of six accounts that originally started playing from this house, 5 on same server, only 2 remain.

Evony has now claimed my account for abuse. This is ridiculous. I have spent $3000 dollars on this game. Last week as I was playing they temporarily suspended my account for verification. This was mid-attack. I then respond to the email then they say this is a warning because they felt someone logged my account and that for security reasons I should change my passwords which I did. Yesterday I am at my cousins house playing Evony and we both get banned for playing from the same IP address. Funny cause we were both on different computers but I was at his house coordinating gameplay. Now they will not give me access and I am working with my credit card to do a chargeback because I invested a lot of money in this game and for the them to remove me twice in a week and not giving me my access back. I too would participate in this class action lawsuit

Hi I just wanted to add to my story as I have now been threatened that if I dont be quiet then Thantium who is Evonys CSR has threatened to start blocking access to my families accounts also, they are currently monitoring my Ip Address and since they started doing it Ive had my hotmail account hacked... whether this is related I dont know.
I dont know about US Ip addresses but UK ones run off a block of about 75 miles square area, I know I am not the only one accessing that IP address.
Oh and now the 100+ accounts Im supposed to have created and played in 24 hrs has dropped to 40 even so I have no knowledge of or have created or played any accounts other than my own, if I had done what they say why would I have asked them to look at my account in the first place?

Hi Ive just had my account banned because I asked them to restore a city and hero that evony deleted due to a problem caused by them, my original ticket was filed on December 19 2011 and on February 14th they banned access to mine and my families accounts and accused me of making 100+ accounts from my ip address in 24 hrs. I have asked them to provide proof of this which they refuse to do.
Im by no means a big player and have never botted or created multi accounts as my own account will testify, but I have invested a lot of time and money on that account.
I have suffered public humiliation on their forums and when I tried to defend myself the thread was closed and my posts deleted.
I am now suffering abuse and sarcasm from one of their moderators on that forum.
There are what amounts to $80 remaining on that account which they refuse to refund and as Im in UK have no recourse like the one you are seeking here, I just wanted to put my story forward.
It seems they can do exactly as they please including theft, slander, defamation of character and I just have to swallow it :(

sign me up for the lawsuit, I want my money back. ...I didn't sign up to play solve the capcha. I'm a widow and I can't afford to spend much but I've bought a few packages. The only people that will still be playing are the ones with enough money for the bots that solve the capchas.

While we may not catch all offenders, when we do identify rule breakers they are all treated the same way. The team that does this does not have access to the billing tools and is unaware of the pay state of accounts. As for your interpersonal issues with players in the game, as you are no longer welcome to play Evony due to the multiple rules violations you should have no furthur contact with those people. If you feel that your life has been threatened in any way in real life, please contact your local authorities.

The fact is I sent them a list of people I know for a fact creating a lot of accounts to farm and they did nothing about it, then Phil maurer writes email filled with lies and treats. "Free Forever" they say but Above you will see "as you are no longer welcome to play Evony" Just last night I Skype a buddy with over 100 accounts, and he said they did not ban any of his accounts, and I turned him in. They clearly discriminated against me and only me on this server because they could not beet me.

I would LOVE to be part of a 'lawsuit' against Evony. First, "if" Evony does have employees playing then this 'does/may' constitute "Illegal Trade Practices". Paying someone to take things (cities, resources, etc.) from players/customers who have spent 'real' money is 'theft by deception'. Which is a crime in the U.S.A.
Secondly, many players run 10-20 accounts that 'BOT farm' for them. I've complained about this many times, only to receive standard response from Evony Staff. Despite what they say Evony is NOT even trying to stop cheating on their servers! Let's be honesty if Evony was doing more than 'placating/trying to look good' then these types of things would have stopped, or would be virtually nil. Its My belief that Evony allows this type of behavior because it generates more income.

I have would love to join the class action! They discriminated against me, and broke many American laws. They let people threaten my life and ignored it. My real name, address, and phone number has been posted on wc many time (i think bey evony staff) and they do nothing about it. I gained 100 lbs, and even talked to a doctor about the addiction.

This is an old Complaint, but it is still basically true. Evony as a company simply does not have the interests of the players at heart, only the contents of their bank accounts / wallets. They repeatedly have failures, both in customer service and in technical support. If you have the "audacity" to stand up and demand better service, they'll either ignore you or ban you from their forums. Which one happens depends on whether or not you are mainly just ranting or you are articulate. Usually unless it's real bad, the ranters are ignored. On the other hand, if you can articulate your issues in a firm way, that is apparently very "bad" and eventually triggers narcissistic rage from the employees, who will then seek to find any reason to kick you to the curb.

Just within the past few weeks, the employees said that people that post on their forums are not the "average" customer, and so the people that post on the forums concerns are viewed as not representative of the whole. This stemmed from a game change where they offered a vote on the forum of 3 choices, leaving out the 4th choice (remove the change), and when the vote ended up being the least-restrictive of the 3 choices, they said that option was just not implementable and sent out a system-wide mail saying how they "listened to customer feedback" and were gracious, kind, and benevolent enough to make the change to the second most popular choice. This is a standard devious trick of making a change that you know won't be liked, then offering a lesser-evil which is what you really wanted in the first place, called the Door-in-the-Face technique.

If you report players for botting or using multiple accounts, even if you have firm evidence that you did not make up, you will be told that "evidence" from customers is potentially tampered with, so they shelve your report and do nothing, leaving people that cheat to run you over.

Nobody should give money towards this company and expect much in return. Buyer beware.

I had spent $1, 600 hundred bucks on my account and was ranked number 12 on the server. I left the game for 1 month due to real life and come back only to find my account had been deleted due to inactivity! I still had close to $1, 000 in items with intention of rebuilding any lost troops and or cities apon my return. I sent a letter to evony through there "contact us" link. I never received a response.

I agree, I have spent over $2500 and 2 years of my life building my account, constantly spent time reporting the players that violated the Terms of services, however nothing ever got done, an individual actually posted all of my personal information name, number, and photos... in return evony did NOTHING, after several complaints I end up getting my account CLOSED and evony's customer service rep states that I violated the TOS... what a joke I still have all the complaints I filed along with the lackluster replies from the CSR of Evony. The players I reported with the Mounds of proof are still currently playing the game. Interested in joining this class action lawsuit :)

I would be willing to join a suit. Also consider filling a complaint with the credit card company, if you used a Visa/MC.
I have evidence they Evony adms are playing the games. The purpose is to use their inside information, so that other players will need to spend money to defend themselves. Read the bbs posts and some players refer to evony as "we". Evony also states they all employees can play, but claims they have no unfair advantages. Is it not unfair to know how the software is constructed, or to know how attack variables are assigned? To have the option of assigning resources to themsleves simply by editing their down account information?
I have spoke with some of these admin-players, and with Evony CS, as to the possible truths of this. No one would neither accept or deny any facts, but instead CS offered to move my "coins" to a different server (i.e. shut me up). In the end, they didn't move anything, and then ignored me out out.
I filed a complaint with the credit card company, got part of my payment back. Evony then had my account frozen.

i am interested. i've spent 2yrs over $8k on my account just have someone hack my account and send off the #1 hero on he server to a noob account. I spent another $90 in holiday to try to talk to evony to get the hero back but they said. i must have shared my info with someone and will not help me. lets get our money and our time lost back from them

I just was banned, with no prior warning. I have spent over $100 and countless hours building my empire. I must mention that I did pay the extra for the ability to receive email notification of a declaration of war as well. Last night I was declared war on, I started to build my army and get ready...then by morning I am banned. I have no idea why, what happens now? This much higher level person has access to all my resources that I have been building up and I have no choice but to get the standard response from customer service..blah!

Banned for filing a dispute for non delivery of $5.00 package. After dispute was closed they locked me out of Age1 and Age 2. Sign me up.

evony has taken something from me that i cannot get back without punitive damages. i must ask for someone to contact me about this class action suit i have friends who will want to get in on it to. in the world today if someone did to me what evony has i would call them a thief and a liar.

Yep, there was no notice of bannings prior and in fact putting people on holiday almost said there would be no banning. The banning did not catch all cheaters yet it caught some that were not botting. Not to mention that our time invested in playing has to be worth something. I say jam them and they will learn a little about due process.

Dumb ### people, buying a dumb ### game. $600.00 big bucks for this game...you krazy! This game, and other browser games are a waste of your time, and if you get screwed, no one gives a hoot...go outside and enjoy the sun, snow, rain or whatever the heck the weather may be. Games are fun when objects move, or board games that are able to be done with others in the same room...but come on, unless your using these silly games as a way to get free phone calls to friends and family members, you must be almost border line loony>

Let me know what you need. They shut my acct down for reported "bot" usage but I hadn't logged into it in 5 days. I put 150 bucks into something that is gone. I filed with the BBB, sent a letter to our states Attorney General and my State Representative. Get me on board
