i’ve tried to connect my bank account multiple times and it’s still not showing up when i go to select it as my main account, i have no clue as to why it’s not working. the first time i was able to log in it processed my account and everything, gave me the notification that it was done, and it didn’t show up at all. i tried logging in a few more times and it still won’t show up, and it didn’t even try to process my account at all. another issue i’m having is with email verification, i clicked on the link and the website just tells me to open the app. i get a notification saying “did you open the link?” and when i press on it, it just takes me to the main screen where i select which account to use. when i go to check if my email has been verified, it just tells me to verify my email.

I read the instapay rules so many times… I was debating if to use it or not because it sounded to good to be true… and it was I knew something was gonna happened that I would get scammed. Today (Thursday April 21 2022) I finally used instapay because I needed that money for college. And it always said in the instructions we will pay you 50% now and ones your next paycheck comes we will pay you the other half. Why when I finally do the transaction it says that I will get paid for the half that I asked for but in my next check ima PAY OFF EVEN FOR USING INSTAPAY. Not once did that show in the instructions and I can’t even cancel the transaction when I just did that? This is a SCAMM I want my money back as fast as possible because I have bills I can barely afford. Please and Thank you.

While the app itself is very convenient and helpful. I would definitely recommend using the app but the customer service is horrible. There is no number you can call directly to talk to someone for some help. In the “help” section you can talk to an advisor but can take up to 24hrs? And then there’s an email provided but they weren’t much help. My boyfriend’s phone was stolen, but got a new phone with the same number. So when he tried to log back into even, they sent him a verification code to his number and he never gets it. We’ve already talked to our provider (AT&T) and it’s not their end. They recommended that we talk to even support but we can’t get anyone to help. He’s already done 2-step verification and anything that we could get a hold of advice. No one is actually helping!

Even has helped me out immensely in the past. I've been using the app for about 6 months now. Sometimes I would call off a day of work due to being sick, have a lower paycheck, and they would give me a boost to help me out and i would be able to pay bills in full and on time without worrying about any late fees. As a college student, this is a lifesaver. The next paycheck, id work some extra hours to make up the difference, and they would take back what the lended me, interest free. HOWEVER, they would NEVER go below my even number. I am basically guaranteed $500 every single paycheck. The newest version of this app has been completely revamped, focusing on adding in your bills, showing you which ones need to be paid, and will help budget your money. It is a great resource, and there is no harm
in trying it out. They allow you to try it cost free for a month, then it's only $3 a week after that.

Just a tad misleading, guys. "Even's budgeting features are free to use. Even Plus blah Instapay blah blah employer in the list they may blah blah $8/ mo." I must be a real [censored] because I downloaded the app thinking my employer didn't have to be on the list to use the budgeting part of the app and if by some chance my new employer WAS on the list, well, I might get really lucky. They may pay for the Instapay part and even though the idea of being paid early really wasn't all that appealing to me because if you took advantage of that aspect of the app, it might be helpful at the time, but it would just be that much harder to make it until the next payday features or would be farther away, I thought I'd check it out too and just pay the $8/mo myself if my employer didn't ---just in case, you know? Well...that would be a huge NOPE! If your employer isn't on the list, you can't use the budgeting part either. That was a bit of a let down so 1 star for being misleading.

I’ve used this app for almost a year now. And I like all the features and my bank used to be connected and now they aren’t but I think it was issue on their side so I’m not exactly stressing about it or blaming this app. However there are little things that I think could help improve the app.
1. I think if you were to attempt to use the Instapay feature and pull money but for whatever reason wanted to cancel it, you could just go to the ticket and select to cancel it instead of having to wait for a specific time to talk to an Advisor whom I’m sure could be helping someone who has some genuine questions or concerns.
2. I think it would be a neat feature to make it where if a user of this app was paying for the full subscription of even plus they should get everything that comes with the app. I just feel like that’s a big thing with paying monthly. You should have access to everything that you’re putting money into. It would be a bit different if it was a one time purchase and/or something to look into.
3. It would be very helpful if the menus were just a little more specific and organized. Now I think how it separates the planning and pay stubs/instapay and the account options it very good. But, for example, I was attempting to access and cancel my instapay from +3 weeks ago and it took me probably about 5 - 10 minutes just to figure out where I was supposed to go. I just find some of the things in or about the app confusing.
I will definitely still continue to use this app because it’s super nice how it tells you your schedule, predicted hours and the hours you actually end up with, your past paystubs (which are also printable), what you’ve made so far in the pay week and so on and so forth.

Whether or not this app is a scam, don’t waste your time. Sure, if they aren’t a scam, what they are doing seems pretty good. But this app is taking away the ability of managing your money from young adults. I’m not going to be like Tai Lopez with some information bs that you have to pay for, but no one should be living their life paycheck to paycheck if they can avoid it. Obviously some people can’t avoid that struggle, but this app is creating a REASON for people to live paycheck to paycheck, which is very, very bad. Don’t use this app just so you can live paycheck to paycheck. Eventually you will get into an accident or a financial situation and you will lose everything. Don’t live in this lifestyle. If you screw up once in this lifestyle, you will lose everything you have. Don’t take that risk. Save your money. Only buy what you need, and maybe a treat every once in a while. Remind yourself what your balance was before every paycheck and make sure you don’t spend the whole difference. Do not live paycheck to paycheck. Very bad things can happen.

Side note: I rated this 4 stars because I have not tried it, so I went with one star below the average to affect their average the least.

EDIT: While your reply may seem reasonable, the major problem is that you CANT use this app without living paycheck to paycheck, as you must have a reason to be using this app, which is that. If you’re doing all the work for them, how can they learn if they won’t ever move on from this while using your app? As soon as a user has enough money saved up to the point where they don’t need the app anymore and they leave, they will most likely blow all of their money because the app did all the work for them. However, maybe I am missing some key features of the app that help avoid this. Either way, it is much better to learn these things either on your own or from friends or family rather than an online app, which by the way, can shut down at any moment due to bankruptcy. Not saying that that happening would be as bad as something like the BitConnect scheme, however it could be catastrophic to those who just started using the app right after opening a bank account and having no prior knowledge of what to do.

Today is September 8 2023 I have used even over a year love the app never caused me problems and always kept me on my toes with my daily earning but this morning I tried to access my account & it would say “checking for updates” then kicks me out my app. I restarted my phone, deleted the app reinstalled got my phone code & email code then it kicks me out. I really need to access my account for bills I have missed couple days ago. this app never caused me problems before and very shock it’s not working now. How can I fix this problem?

I have been using the even app since shortly after my husband started at Walmart in November of 2022. Yesterday i tried to open the app on my phone, same one i always use...and it had logged me out. It has a place for me to enter my phone number and it is supposed to send me a code. I have tried this over and over to no avail. Have also reached out to their support and not had it resolved

I got a new phone number recently, and then a new job. I tried to set up an account on the Even app, but the person who had my phone number before me already had an account. I set up my new account, and the app logged me into the other person’s account instead of setting one up for me. I was in their account with nothing but their phone number. I didn’t need their password, email address, or anything else. I had to contact Even to rectify this, but everyone should be aware of the importance the app places on just your phone number.

This is probably the worst app I have ever downloaded.

First of all the app isn’t compatible with my credit union so virtually every feature doesn’t work. They said I could get my instapay through any Walmart money center, but for some reason every Walmart happens to be having a problem with their money centers when I need it, so now my money is stuck in limbo because you can’t cancel the instapay.

Now it is saying that there is an issue causing the net pay shown to not even be accurate. Please tell me the point of this useless app!

I used Even basic years ago when I was first becoming financially independent. As someone who struggles to do mental math especially when it involves money and budgeting, Even’s design was SO helpful and helped me to plan my finances. I was set for success! But then my bank became no longer compatible with Even, even though it is a big bank. And now when I try to sign up again, my employer is not a partnering company...so I am at a loss. I am trying to find any app that comes close to Even but all have fallen short so far. It’s such a bummer.

I like the Even App but I do not like the fact that the app has crashed on me several times. Meaning I was not able to access the app or transfer my money. The app was showing up blank and it would say that there is an error. I was not able to contact support through the app either during that time. I have no problem with the $6 fee to use the app monthly but I should be able to access ALL of my MONEY since I am paying monthly. The app will only let you use 50% of your check. I want full access to my check. I would suggest researching before using.

The app functions okay but the instapay isn’t instantly available in your back account. I need money quick and it’s taken me a few days to get the test deposit and I have to wait another day to get my money. You shouldn’t call it instapay if it’s gonna take a few days to receive your needed money. I’m really frustrated. You guys need to clearly state the day wait for a deposit and the few days it takes to receive test deposits. Or else people who need money right away will make the mistake and have to wait a few days when they needed the money sooner.

As the title says, this app always wants to default to your Money Network pay card account even if you have a linked bank account where your paycheck is deposited. You can change the default in the settings, but even if you finally figure out how less than s minute after you gave up and decided to dig through your old cards to use the Money Network card instead since it wouldn’t let you use your preferred method, you are unable to change the delivery account or even cancel the instapay and start over. This app is useful when needed, but an utter nightmare to use.

This app is an employer-based only so if your employer does not enroll with this app, you are unable to use it. This is the third app. I have downloaded where I have come across the same thing. It would be really helpful if they could just tell you this information before you download the app as you were wasting our time here. To prevent people from download the app you should advised him first and if their employer does not work with this app then you will not be able to use it. And since I know, my employer does not use these types of apps, I know nothing would come of it.

Downloaded it on both my phone AND my iPad trying to get it to work.. Whenever I go to add my bank and get that connected it just endlessly loops trying to load it.
I had uninstalled the app on my tablet because I thought it was working on my phone finally (I was wrong. It still loops..) I went to go reinstall the app on my iPad and now it keeps telling me to enter my payment information on the Apple store... Why do you need my payment info for a free download? (Or a redownload for something I already have for that matter...)
Garbage app just like the companies you’re partnered with..

One, running the app after downloading it was difficult. I didn't realize I needed to upgrade to "plus" for installation, the link you gave me to get the account number and routing number for my Walmart card didn't work, (fortunately, I found it through the card app) and it took all day for the two "test deposits" to go in. (I realize you warned me it would, but it was still annoying) NOW I find the money I needed to put on my card YESTERDAY, when I loaded the app, won't be in until TOMORROW at 8PM! The actual check gets deposited at 9:00, so this is almost worthless! I don't see this being very useful to me in the future.

...but it is always broken! Between it not picking up on my recurring bills, asking me to track bills I already track and just generally not syncing properly, it’s nearly impossible to get a clear read on your “real” balance. There are always server related/connectivity issues.

That being said in theory the app is great—it’s personable, great on boarding sequence and really has helped me stay on track. Really unique take on a tracking app. When it works, it is great at identifying recurring payments and income. I keep it despite the flaws, which is saying a lot. Needs some work but, I look forward to seeing how it improves. :)

I like the app it helps but I had to look at my paystubs to see why I was only was missing a few hundred*** dollars because when it says it will be take out of the paychek say on the 4th of April thats when I expect it to come out not the next paycheck on the 18 like foreal I had a debit come out of my check that I did at the beginning or March come out of my April check like really ... it needs to be clear when it is really going to be debited out of your check because im thinking that it really will come out when it’s supposed to but nope now im down because of something i did at the beginning of March on the 7 is came out on April 4th ! And the one i did at the end of March is now coming out of this paycheck not happy about that at all
