Yest erday January 31/2019 I stopped at an Esso Station on Highway 20 in Fonthill, my check engine light came on. The gentleman from the station said I used cheap gas and said he couldnt help me. What a stupid answer, not impressed. I too work in the Service Industry. he could have been a little more helpful. Im sure if I was a male he would have suggested I take it to a mechanic.

On January 26, 2019 at 12:51PM, I went to the ESSO gas station at 7970 Mavis Road, Brampton Ontario, Canada. This is the station I take gas on a weekly basis.
In addition to filling my tank, I also bought a luxury car wash ticket.

After waiting in the car wash line for around 40 minutes, I finally input the code in the terminal and followed the instructions to drive forward once the door to the booth opened.
On entering the booth the sign ahead clearly read "drive forward", with the green light on, this was while the vehicle that was ahead of me, was exiting the booth.

I was expecting at some point to see the light change to red, with the indication to "stop" or "back up" a bit if i'm too far forward. The green light kept on with the "drive froward" indication still on.
I slowly backed up but there was no change. With the exit door closed in my mind there may have been some malfunction.

A few minutes later the attendant from inside the office, who seemed to be the manager, came inside the booth.
To my surprise I thought he was going to offer some kind of apology, instead he went on a rant asking me if I cannot follow instruction, and if I cannot read.
I took exception to his approach and tried to explain to him that it's not the first time i've used this car wash, and English is my first language in which I am quite proficient.
I ended up demanding my refund, as he expected me to rejoin the line, after I asked him if I couldn't back up to which he refused.

I found this Manager's comments/behaviour quite condescending, and extremely arrogant, for someone who is supposed to be exhibiting leadership qualities.

His behaviour is consistent as I had a similar interaction with him a few years ago, regarding an out of order air pump, and lo and behold, the same remark was used, IE "if I cannot read". This was in response to a "snow covered sign" blown off the air pump, with an indication that it was out of order..

I must apologized for such a lengthy report, however your customer complaints seems to be unavailable on weekend.

I sincerely hope that you will implore this gentleman to be more cordial when dealing with customers, as his attitude and behaviour is not compatible with customers expectation

King George road brantford Ontario Canada is the location I am complanning about. Are they supposed to be running a car wash? I just bought a luxury wash and they charged me for 2 eight packs of Pepsi and they didn't give me a code for the wash they just opened the door for me. Also the car was is in very poor condition. It can only operate to was one side of the car. The whole car wash building is in very poor standards. I'd like to know what's going on because this is the only wash in the city I can use Esso extra on. Thanks,

I went to this gas station last night 1309 lawrence ave E, north york, ON, M3A 1C6 at 9:48pm-ish december 31st 2018. I went to use washroom but it was so dirty i decided not to use and picked up 2 water bottles and gum and went to cashier. The employee was just looking at me and i said hello and he ignored and pointed towards my items to bring it closer to him. And i did so he scans and then pushes items towards me rudely so i asked him if he is okay cz he didnt say hi nothing and he says [censored] off [censored] i wont serve you. Then i tried to call esso customer service line and he is swearing "F your mother, F you [censored]" so i got so upset there were rack of chips close to me i threw them on the floor. He aggressively ran towards me to take picture of my car license plate and non stop kept swearing at me. I have video of some of it. Then i went to use washroom somewhere else and came back to resolve with him whatever happened because it was almost new years so i thought we can solve things together. I go back and he runs towards me swearing so much and yelling. My friend came too and she asked him why he is being so rude so then he called the cops i called too they came i told them everything they were shocked at what type of people are hired at this gas station and they informed me to speak to esso customer service department. I always go to put gas and this is just beyond nasty. It is so ugly it is hard to even write what happened. I was verbally abused by an esso gas station employee who was having a bad day. This ruined my new years celebration as you can imagine. It ruined everything. I do not know why this employee is so frustrated why is looks like he doesnt want to work. There are many people out there looking for a job that can offer way better customer service than him

authorized$60 as I didn't know how much I needed.. the actual gas cost $33.62... but.. I was charged $60 on my visa.. not happy !

I drove my 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 inside the car was
One of the spiners pulled out my antena and cause a lot of damage to the truck
I took the truck today to King Chrysler in Hamilton for an estimate
I will be around $2800.00 on repairs
I was told by the manager that someone from esso head office will contact me and did not happen
I hope someone could give me information where to call to solve this situation

I filled up 112$ gas and purchased a Luxury wash $11.99 at the same time last night, transaction number 516439
station [protected], 150 Consumers Dr Whitby Ontario and the dryer shut off after 10 seconds, when i approached the kiosk attendant she said there is nothing she could do as there was a vehicle behind me that input their code so it automatically cuts out the dryer.This is not acceptable since your wash advertises dryer. please advise how you could remedy this.

Yesterday I went to Markham ellesmere Esso station and I tried to put gas for 45 dollars with my credit card. After paying 45 dollars with my card, I tried to put gas but didn't work so I went to see cash counter and told about the problem but they told me like I gonna get that refund of 45 dollars to my card within 24 hours. After that I payed again 45 dollars to the counter and got my gas. Please take necessary action to refund my amount. I can further share the details if it needed

Hello, earlier today (December 12th 2018) I bought two OLG lottery tickets at an On The Run esso gas station on Fruitland road in Stoney Creek Ontario and have never been treated as rudly as i was today and will never return to that esso and the way she treated me makes me not want to returne to any esso location. I'm hoping someone can email about this situation.

Hi, I was in esso station located Yonge & Steeles on last Friday and got a luxury carwash. I was in hurry and left back to work, when I got off the car I saw the car srill has lots of dirt all around. I came back in the morning and showed the car but they said carwash has been under maintenance that day and I should check immediately after and they did not rake any responsibility, so why they sell the pass when they know carwash is not working properly? Why they don't care about customers to rewash the car. I won't ever use esso for carwash.

we gave our son a $50.00 gaz card for is birthday at the end of September but when he tried to use it at the end of September he found that the card had already been used by someone else at a service station at 4550 Dufferin in Ontario

We live in Gatineau Quebec and at no time did my son travelled to NorthYork this info was supplied by an employe when we called a [protected] number.

the gift card was purchased at a provigo grocery store in Gatineau
we were informed by a teller at the store that all kind of fraud concerning these cards had been reported.

We would appreciate that a new card for the $50.00 be sent to us by Esso Canada

We wanted to fuel in Gas on our way from Winnipeg to Saskatoon so we had to stop at the Esso gas station on our way to fuel up but the attendant at the time refused to give us gas just because our car didn't have a license plate on it and it was on temporary permit. Also after refusing to give us gas for which we wanted to pay first she sweared at us to get us out of the store. We are Esso's regular costumers collecting rewards and giving business to you guys. But we didn't expect this rude behaviour from a staff leaving us stranded in the middle of nowhere. I hope Esso takes this seriously and take certain measurements to ensure that this does not happen to someone else.
