I'm sorry that this time I cannot provide the date of this incident but it was a few months ago. I wanted to cash in some of my stock with Edward jones. I had cashed in some of my stock about 4 or 5 months earlier. My ex fiance had stolen my whole world financially materially emotionally and every way you can think of so I needed to cash in stock in order to pay my bills. He also caused me to lose my jpmb therefore I needed to cash in stock to pay my bills. The first time I didn't have any problem at all doing so. My advisor did ask quite a few questions and I thought that was very thoughtful at the time. Well 5 months later and I have to do it again but this time he refused to after I was told my money would be deposited into my account that afternoon for part of it the next morning for the other part. Part of it did get deposited because he was not in the office to stop it and the lady in the front did not know he had a problem with her doing it. So my advisor called me to ask more questions then he gets his supervisor to call me and ask questions. Pricing on the cake is the fact that he called my brother and tell my brother how much stock I had how much I wanted to cash out and should they let me do it or not. This stock was in my name and my name only. I did have a beneficiary and I had it fixed so that if I were incapacitated someone could make decisions for me if I were on life support for longer than just a week. This took place within a couple of days and when my brother came to my house laughed at me and said that it's pretty bad when I had to get money for my stock. And told me the exact amount and I have not talked to my brother in a year at this time and he came by my house just to do that tell me he knew my business. Edward Jones then proceeded to tell me I had two choices to handle my own stock in my name only. I could either take all my stock cash it out and take it to another stock broker. Or I could not take any out and leave it there for another 6 months. When did it become legal for someone to give another person information on someone's Financial account when they are not on that account?

Desired outcome: Written and verbal apology. Financial compensation to pay bills!
